I took my fiancé to Bourbon Bistro for his birthday. The service was great. We had an earlier dinner (6:15) so the restaurant only had a couple other tables and therefore the noise level was very quite. The food was exceptional and the drink menu impressive. I would recommend this restaurant.
Another great evening of dining at Bourbon Bistro. Food is delicious & presented beautifully. Mixed drinks are done well. My fav is the Old Fashioned. Didn’t try the deserts but they looked tempting👍
Great experience. They went all out for my buddies bachelor party. It was enjoyed for all.
We are "regulars" - food, drinks and service were all Aces as usual. My pork chop was GREAT! Also try the fried oyster appetizer. We love BB.
Food and presentation was fantastic. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Drinks made by Big Mike very good, as was our food, including dessert. We will be back to eat again.
Food, service and drinks were excellent
Great place to eat
First time at Bourbons and it did not disappoint. We booked on Open Table and was contacted by text about seating preference as it was a quite busy night. When we arrived we were seated quickly at a table rather than a high top in the bar. The bistro has a unique feel as you enter and walk through the bar area. Really cool. Service was great and friendly. Nice wine list and a very large bourbon selection that should meet any one’s desire. We chose the spicy fried oysters to start. Really crisp with light coating and fresh. I had the steak and frites. My wife enjoyed the pork chop. Both were excellent. We talked about how good both were all night. We said that we weren’t that hungry afterwards but would just look at the desert menu. Well, guess what? We selected the bourbon bread pudding. OMG! So warm and fresh with Carmel and berries. This was such a nice finish to our meal. Bourbons Bistro on Frankfort will see us again soon. Go there.
Fantastic staff. Great food!!
New Year’s Eve dinner. We had to ask who our server was after 15min with no one approaching our table but after that our server was attentive. Limited menu saw at least a party of 8 and 4 that did only drinks and left. Also s family of 5 got water looked at menu and left our bruschetta appetizer was very good shrimp and grits excellent and pork chop was excellent
This was our second time going, we are from out if state. Just as great as the 1st time trying it. Will be back again!
They were great! Loved the atmosphere! I would highly recommend! Service top notch! Cocktails top notch! Food presentation top notch! Thank you Bourbons Bistro! I will be back soon
Friendly, accommodating service with a smile. Fabulous food, good value, wonderful ambience highlighted by how quiet it is inside - such an increasing rarity these days. Unobtrusive yet classy jazz background music. The nearby restaurants including Fork & Barrel and Volare were packed on a wet Tuesday evening, while Bourbons Bistro was maybe 25% full. Instead of going with the trending places and dining in a full dining room so close to other diners and noise, try Bourbons Bistro for a memorable experience.
If I could give our server, Brandy, 10 stars, I would. She was knowledgeable and attentive and very nice.
Our food was scrumptious. The Brie app was delicious, the pork chop melted in my mouth, and the burger my husband had was wonderful.
A sweet little place for a romantic dinner.
The atmosphere was very nice. The food was Ok. However, the noise was horrible. We could not talk to each other at our table. When the server came we could not hear what she was saying. We could not wait to get put . I sent a review on the restaurant web page. The owner said that they have no control over the noise. Not an apology for your bad experience.
Our food was excellent! My ceasar salad was wonderful, my filet was even better. My husband had the steak frites. He liked it, but liked my filet more. Wish I had taken a pic. We will definitely be back for more!
The mussels and mushroom bolonaise pasta were delicious. The dining room was a little loud but we still enjoyed our meal and cocktails.
Chef McFarland is by far the BEST check I have known. He comes out to see everyone and really cares about the food and service. He even gave us free grits when he learned I had never tried them. His filet of beef and pork chop are both local BEST meats and prepared to treat your mouth to a delicious, juicy array of flavors....best we've had!!!
Molly, our server....she is awesome and on it. She even takes time to answer questions about the area...she knows some great information!
The bourbon......well.....just do it! You won't regret it.....
Do NOT...I reapeat do NOT leave without trying the bread pudding...I hate that stuff but the Chef convinced me to try it and now I will go there craving it...it was undescribably delicious!!!!
If you want a place different from the rest then try this place....we just moved here and you would NEVER get a meal of this caliber for this cheap in AZ! Can't wait to go back....
Great time there with good friends.
1. Overall, I give it an "ok" but nothing to run back to. Too many better choices available.
2. The menu was very limited.
3. The food prices were over the top. $39 for Steak Frites, especially as tough as the meat was, was insane. Hamburger, which my wife said was delicious, was $18, which, while expensive, falls in line with other similar restaurants.
4. Drinks were good sized.
5. Waitress did a good job.
6. Noise was very loud. Maybe a better choice of tables would have helped.
Outstanding service as usual. Top notch food, chop is great , shrimp / grits always good. I’d like to see a few more options on their menu it seems it’s been the same for a while, then again it’s always good!
Fantastic service. Smaller menu than what we saw on previous reviews, but everything we had was very good. Cozy atmosphere.
We went here for my husbands birthday. I initially made a reservation for 8 people and had to make a last minute change to add an additional 10 people. They were happy to accommodate the last minute change. Service was exceptional. The food was delicious. Wendy was our tables server, and she was very knowledgeable and friendly. This was my first time visiting and it will not be the last. Thank you all for an amazing time!
Our server was very sweet and the goat cheese spread was amazing. My boyfriend is now a fan of goat cheese as was wonderful date night for my boyfriend and I. Love this place ❤️
As usual, great meal and excellent service!
Our waitress Wendy was amazing friendly and great smile. Very good info with the menu options. The appetizer OMG garlic and goat cheese spread and the spicy fried oysters perfect combination. Dinner was delicious filer of beef and steak frites unbelievable delicious!!
All around excellent experience! The ambiance was wonderful, the bar staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the bourbon selection outstanding, and the evening was topped off with great table service and a delicious meal.
Nice atmosphere, great waitress, good food and reasonably priced. Overall great experience.
We had a delicious dinner on Saturday night. I had the burger and my husband had the shrimp and grits. Both were outstanding. We had an efficient, delightful service and enjoyed the energetic atmosphere.
We are frequent guests, we always enjoy BB and this visit was no exception. Food, service and bourbon were all on point.
Very enjoyable dinner for four.
John, our bartender, and Wendy, our waitress went above and beyond making our out of town guests feel pampered. When asked for suggestions or how a cocktail was made they were quick with excellent information and recommendations.
The music was great, subdued enough to have conversation over but a great eclectic mix that was great to have conversation about.
The star of the show is always the food though. Our table had the salmon, shrimp & grits & pork chop, all were delicious with large portions that left everyone full. We split the special pumpkin cake which was warm and fresh with notes of ginger, so delicious!
I love this place for date nights, business dinners, celebrations and it's always on the list when out of town guests are coming in.
Overall wonderful meal! Took my boyfriend here for his birthday as he loves bourbon. We started with cocktails at the bar and our bartender was very nice and knowledgeable. I loved everything she suggested, and my boyfriend was able to try plenty of new bourbons. Service at dinner was very good with friendly staff and management. I had the best pork chop I've had in a very long time, and my boyfriend loved his steak frites. My boyfriend isn't big on sweets so for his birthday they brought out a tasting of a new bourbon that hasn't hit market yet which was a very nice touch to an excellent meal.
If I am going to spend over 100 dollars on a meal with drinks, I have a certain expectation on quality and service and Bourbon's Bistro exceeded all of them. Would definitely recommend, and my boyfriend is already saying he wants this to be his birthday meal every year.
Excellent service. Started with the goat cheese spread, had several drinks (2 glasses of wine, 3 beers), finished with the shrimp and grits and steak frites. It was all delicious and Wendy was excellent as our server. For the amount and quality of food, combined with the level of service, it was easily worth the bill.
Some of the very best food I've experienced in the city. The main issue i had was the staff was a little bit rude and unwelcoming. Even the bartender seemed annoyed that we were there to have a round of drinks prior to our reservation appointment. He even had the audacity to suggest that we were "not from around here" but, I live in Middletown. Maybe they were just having a difficult day but when my tab is $300 plus I would like a little more warmth and engagement from a service perspective. Food was truly perfect though, from the appetizers to the desserts. Nicely done.
This was a great spot, the food was delicious. We had the charcuterie board and fried oysters for appetizers and then we both had the kale and fig salad with salmon we were both very satisfied with our choices. The only negative was they did not have any hard seltzers or really any tequila drinks (my drinks of choice) but my husband was very impressed with the bourbon choices they had. Our waitress was great very friendly and observant.
Food was great. Steaks were undercooked but remedied quickly. Service was amazing.
Great meal, with a Bourbon flight.
Really enjoyed the evening. Would definitely go again, if we’re ever in Louisville again.
