   The Bourbon selections are numerous and so hard to decide which one to pick. The bartenders and wait staff are very knowledgeable and offer excellent suggestions on the drink and food menu. Good food and deserts. The room is very loud and it’s hard to have conversations with your party.

   We have an amazing dinner here and we're very impressed the service, our food, drinks and the experience. At times a party of 10 can be difficult, but the waitress did a wonderful job and we had a great night out. We do not get many nights out as a whole group. I am so glad we chose the restaurants the food was excellent!!!

   We went there to celebrate our anniversary and loved everything we ordered, especially the sea bass entrée which is a chef special. We love this place and will definitely go back.

    Boys trip for a bach party. Service was amazing. Food was mediocre. Steak had no seasoning whatsoever but cooked perfectly medium rare. Very, very expensive for the quality we got food wise. Fries were good.

    Met friend for dinner and cocktails and were not disappointed. The food was fantastic - mushroom ravioli and the filet with asparagus and potatoes were all delicious. Cocktails were spot-on and the cherry shortbread dessert was delectable. Already looking forward to a return visit!

    We were late to our reservation which was our fault so we were sat at a high top by the bar. This was fine and actually was a pretty cool spot. The bartender seemed less than enthused to have to wait on us. Our cheese dip appetizer was very delicious. We ordered the steak frites medium and the mushroom ravioli with cajun sausage. Once it arrived, the steak was on top of the fries so the fries had a little bit of blood from the steak on them which wasn’t a deal breaker, the fries were still good. Just thought it was weird. The ravioli came without the sausage so it was sent back. Steak was okay, nothing special for the price and by time the ravioli came back out, we were already finished with the other entree. We have been here before and had good experiences but this one was a bummer:(

    The salmon served over pappardelle pasta was outstanding. Always love the goat cheese spread, Caesar salad, and can’t leave without the s’more brownie. Lots of leftovers to enjoy later. Martinis were great. Server was attentive and helpful. Definitely recommend.

    Staff was very welcoming and seated us immediately to coincide with our reservation time. Our server was friendly and did a very good job. Basic wine list offering variety and quality wines. Naturally, bourbon is their strong suit as described in their name. We had the spinach salad which was excellent and split the 10 oz steak frites which was a generous portion; very good. Only drawback is parking; very limited space next to the restaurant so you are forced to try find a space on the street.

    One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. Almost ate and drank myself to death. Had heard a lot about it before and for good reason. Phenomenal. Bourbon selection is out of this world. The owner or chef or something walks around and talks to everyone and I like that. I don’t think you will find a better place than this.

    We arrived about 15 minutes late and we were seated quickly. After getting water we sat for almost 15 minutes before someone came to greet us. Our server walked by over half a dozen times so I’m not sure why she didn’t stop to say anything. After we placed our drink order we sat for a length of time before receiving our drinks. So long that we questioned if they had gotten “lost”. My date had moscato which she enjoyed and I got a manhattan that was VERY heavy on vermouth and bitters.Other tables received bread around this time but we got none. We placed our food order and it came out in about 20 minutes or so. The food was overall quite good. We both got the fillet and they were cooked to our desired temperature. We ordered another round of drinks with our dinner, I got a Cabernet wine this time. The red wine was the same temperature as the white wine which was really disappointing. We both ordered dessert, a s’more brownie for me and bread pudding for her. The bread pudding was better I thought but the brownie was good regardless. My date was most upset about the bread, I was most upset about my cold red wine. We both were upset at the lack of service. A few minutes longer and we would have left and tried our luck somewhere else nearby. Everything outside of the servers control was good to very good. Unfortunately, our service made for a poor experience. Everything we had a complaint about could have been solved by a little effort from the server and the temperature of the wine is a mystery, unsure why that happened. But, again, a server checking that would have been easy and if they said, “Our red wine is quite cold due to how we store the bottles. Would you still like a glass?” At least wouldn’t have been disappointed or would have switched my order. Also, the fact that we had bread plates without any bread that were collected halfway through the meal after we ordered entrees was probably as clear of a sign as any that we were missing something.     I cannot say enough about this restaurant. We are in Louisville twice a year and dinner at Bourbon Bistro is the highlight of the visit. We love Mike the bartender, he makes some mean cocktails and knows his bourbon. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive. But, the food, is a true delight! We have NEVER had a bad meal! The chef produces a great well-rounded menu and uses quality products. You will not go wrong with Bourbon Bistro!!

    Can’t say enough good things. First time here and we’ll definitely be back at some point. I have zero complaints or suggestions on anything we ordered. Pork chop and the filet were perfect. The salmon cakes were moist and breaded just right. Finished the night with the s’more and it was delicious! Kudos to the chef who also made his rounds and noticed him running food. Love to see them leading from the front

    Wendy made our experience SO special. She knew all the delicious things on the menu to order though I doubt anything wouldn’t be delicious. The mussels were out of this world. Loved the ambiance. Don’t forget to visit Mike at the bar. He and my boyfriend became fast friends and he is a world of knowledge when it comes to whiskey and bourbons. This is probably our favorite place in all of Louisville. We will be back.

    To start off the service was not the best for the type of restaurant that they advertised to be, the waitress walked by me several times as I tried to get her attention. The environment was very loud. My wife and I had a difficult time having a conversation because of the noise level. Absolutely very little cocktail/drink selection, everything offered were basic bourbon cocktails, nothing fancy. The cocktails were very expensive for the quality of the restaurant, $17 for a Manhattan. The food was good, but super spiced up salted and heavy, no healthy choices. I definitely do not plan on returning, or recommending this restaurant to anyone. I do believe that they have a lot of potential if they change up their drink menu to add a better variety of cocktails. They also need to adjust their prices according to the level of quality and service.

    We found out about this place from the bartender at Stitzel-Weller. He actually made the reservations for us. Since it was our 34th anniversary we were looking for a nice quiet place and this was it. Everyone was very friendly. The bartender was great! We started with the beef bone marrow with toasted sliced bread. My wife loved it. Then she had the shrimp and grits plate and I had the pork chop. Wow! They were both outstanding. She is pretty much a seafood snob being from Louisanna but the shrimp did not disappoint her at all. We were really surprised that the place was not packed! The prices were not bad either. I’d recommend them this place to everyone and we will visit them again next time we’re in Louisville. 5 stars!!

    They had a very varied bourbon list. Prices were comparable to most higher end restaurants. Parking on Frankfort was terrible and ended up parking quite a bit away. The main dining room was very loud. My filet was really undercooked, but had a good flavor after I asked for it to be cooked a little more.

    Boyfriend and I had a night out on the town trying different restaurants. Bourbon Bistro social media gave a good vibe, we wanted to have a drink and try the goat cheese spread. Wendy our server was fantastic both professionally and on a personal level. She recommended the oysters, so we got the spread and the oysters. Neither disappointed and we ate every bite. Beverages were great and we definitely plan on going back.

    Very nice experience! Super cool bar area the main dining room is moody and cozy (ceiling is painted black and a little stark) but the brick accents and black and white pics are fun! Ravioli was sinfully delicious and steak frites were very tasty!

    Fraternity brother in from out of town, so a group of us got together. Service was terrific. A couple of us had the pork chop, which was fantastic. Surprised to realize BB has been open for 18 years. Longevity in a restaurant is always a good sign. It delivered for us.

    Several items ordered by the table were delicious: salmon, burger, ravioli, Caesar salad, shrimp and grits, goat cheese appetizer. Items that weren’t pleasing: steak frites, salmon cake app. Steak was tough and full of gristle. The kitchen did discount it, though would’ve preferred to enjoy it. The desserts, s’mores cake and bread pudding, were outstanding. Our server, Desiree, was excellent. It was our first time there for our entire party of 10 for a birthday celebration. Several of us agreed that we would definitely return.
