In the middle of the Manhattan Theatre District, the Bourbon Street Bar and Grill is an authentic restaurant. Reasonably priced, its a good lunch option, on a quieter street slightly away from the touristy center
Great place great location food was good near theatre and very easy to find with great parking near by
Great service, atmosphere and food. Very warm and welcoming staff. Portiond were sizeable and delicious.
Great pre-theater lunch, we were not rushed. Server provided great suggestions. Would definitely go again.
We ate here after a night out and we enjoyed it overall. the mac and cheese is awesome and so is the smothered chicken. Jambalaya was OK.
Love the ambiance. Would go back.
Came to visit son and decided to tale both son's to Borbon Street. Exceptional evening of food and conversation.
As New Orleaneans visiting NYC, we chose this restaurant as a “Saints friendly” place to watch the Saints/Falcons game and were pleasantly surprised at the authenticity of the food flavors. We are skeptical of any place outside of Louisiana that boasts Cajun or Creole flavors, as it’s typically overly spicy and tasteless. But Bourbon Street Bar & Grille got it right. Authentic creole flavors with just the right amount of kick. And the decor is lovely. Captures the spirit of the French Quarter without going too far.
Poor reception and attitude! Jumbuliya only had one piece of meat and Mac n cheese very stodgy. Waiting staff only had interest in larger tables for the tips. Very underwealmed!
I love this place! Great ambiance, great food, great service!
Great staff. Food was quick and allowed us to make our show ontime. Great food also.
Our family visit to New York was filled with sightseeing, shows and an eclectic list of dining adventures. Luckily, we hit Bourbon St. on our first night since we got in late and it was close to our hotel. The food was fantastic and portions were huge. Hush puppies were to die for! This is a find in NY as other restaurants we went to had minuscule portions that were outrageously priced. Of course you want to experience top rated and much talked about scenes, but after one such “chic” place we left with a huge dent in our wallet and our tummies were not even close to full. For example, a single taquito cut into 4 pieces with some kind of cranberry sauce that cost $28. Guess it’s food art, right? It was recommended we purchase 8 similarly priced and sized “tapas” for our great dining experience. Being as we had our 22 and 24 yr old sons with us, we didn’t order much more and went back to Bourbon for a satisfying great meal that filled us up. Highly recommend.
Awesome food!
Great food for the money. Not the usual skimpy overpriced NYC meals. The beignets are deliciousness!!
The food was delicious, as were the drinks and our server was attentive and very pleasant. We will definitely come back.
Great Cajun food at a great spot for a pre-theater dinner. Food and ambiance was great. Active, but not so noisy that conversation was difficult. I would go back!
Was recommended by CitizenM employee. We were visiting from Kentucky and asked for recommendations and she listed your restaurant.
Not a fan. Service was not good. I wouldn’t return.
Absolutely fantastic restaurant with a really wonderful ambience. Excellent staff and really lovely food. We went along to celebrate a family birthday and we were treated to a really tasty desert, highly recommended.
We were there a year ago and everything was outstanding so we decided to go again! We'll probably put it on our annual NYC things to do list!
Mothers birthday, everything was great! However the got rid of alligator in the blanket. Good and its always funny to see ppls expression when I ask them to try alligator.
Six of us had a great time I enjoyed the atmosphere tremendously they really do a fantastic job decorating for the holidays ! Macaroni and cheese was to die for.
This was my second visit there. I love the food. If you're looking for "quiet" this isn't it. On this visit we ordered the crab stuffed lobster tails which were WONDERFUL!! In the past I have been to their brunch on Sunday which I would also recommend.
This is my second visit. Both were amazing. Food is great. Drink prices are AMAZING for NYC. They don’t rush you at all. Close to hotels and theatre!!
The service was a little slow but the food was delicious. It was very hot inside the restaurant.
We came here for our anniversary and it was great. The food was fantastic our waitress was so nice! It was an overall amazing experience
This is the second time we have eaten here on our visit to New York City. The ambience is terrific and the Christmas Decorations are beautiful. The wait staff are all so nice and we very much enjoyed our food. The portions are huge and everything we have ever eaten was delicious.
This is basically a large party space. All the tables are high-top (not a low table in sight - at least not on the first floor.) There are at least 2 floors of dining space, and 2 bars just on the first floor. While the food is Cajun influenced, it's pretty much bar food. If I were throwing a party this would be the place. For a pre-theatre dinner, it met the requirement of being quick, but I wouldn't bother to go back. I had the gumbo, which was hearty and flavorful, but nothing novel. My husband had the catfish sliders and his comment was "they were ok." Great service, however.
the food is inedible, the worst Cajun food I have ever tasted. the only reason to go here is to watch sports on any 1 of the 28 screens and have a watered down drink
service was extremely slow, food was slow to come and was not up to par, lukewarm and tasteless, well below the standard of food in NYC. decor was dated and well worn, something worthy of a small town bar on a saturday night
We ordered calamari, shrimp poboys, mini cheeseburger sliders & Cajun jambalaya. The appetizer came out hot & quickly. The cornmeal coating was pretty good & could have used a little more kick in seasoning. The bread for the poboys was soft & tasty. The decor was festive & the service was excellent. Also the bathrooms were clean.
Good food - enough of a menu - the ambiebce was kively and festive which was what we wahted so did not mind the noise
Our waitress was patient and attentive and the portions were generous
Great lunch special catfish pi"boy sandwich with side salad only $12. Good prompt service
I went here on 11/18/17 for my birthday. Overall, I was very satisfied. I made the reservation two days earlier and called to inform that I was running late. When I arrived they were already clearing off our table and did not take long to set for us. I like that they have an unending happy hour, where the drinks were very affordable, as low as $5(I tried the swamp water and hurricane drinks, very good!!!). I had a really good and attentive host. I will definitely come back her again.
Place was great! Nothing fancy, but the food was very tasty, and I felt pretty authentic. Portions were very big, high value! Our server was great too, she really cared about our well being. I'd go back for sure.
Food was great and the decorations for the holidays were awesome.
Fast service , friendly staff, lively atmosphere. Had salmon. It was served as I requested.
Very festive--decorated for Christmas. Well located. Food and service great!
Love the atmosphere!!! Bourbon Street outdoes themselves with Christmas lights and decorations!
A fabulous bar and restaurant with good food.
Went there for brunch before a show and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
I️ went there for my birthday celebration & what a great way to celebrate with my friends. We choose a bunch of appetizers & main courses for all of us to share. Each item was delicious!! Our waiter was awesome too always filling our drinks & was so personable too. The place was crowded but not that noisy so we can hear each other talk. I️ would go back again soon!!!
