Vacationing at the Princess. The staff was super friendly and attentive and the food was truly exceptional. A little expensive but a superb dining experience.
GREAT DINNER! You must try the lobster pot pie! It is amazing! Steak was also phenomenal. Great restaurant!
Food was excellent!! Waitor/Waitress was excellent. Wait time in between appetizer, dinner, dessert was a little slow/long but the food and wait staff made up for it, so overall an excellent place to dine.
Seated at 810pm, dinner served at 10pm! Our waitress was sweet and clearly pretty new, but pleasant. All we had was a salad to start so why it took 2 hours to be served I dont understand. Not acceptable. Very expensive, side dishes were small, but steak was very good.
Service was very slow. Some dishes were good, others so-so. The sea bass was very good, but the scallops were bland and the serving size was very small (5 tiny scallops). Wines were marked up to 4 times what you'd pay for the same bottle at the market. The wine server must have been new because he served the white wine in wide-rimmed red wine glasses, and then later served a bottle of red wine in white wine glasses. Overall, we thought the restaurant was overrated.
Expensive but you get what you pay for. Food and atmosphere was great. Ac is on blast in the restaurant so local people dress appropriately.
Fantastic service! Meal came with extras from the chef that made it perfect!!!!
Always a fabulous experience I love this place!
Don't waste your money on this place !
Never have I been so insulted by a manager in my life. We told the sommelier our taste in wine and proceeded to offer a wine that was sub par, no problem returned the bottle for another with another sommelier ( manager ) who brought us another bottle that was nowhere near what we were expecting needless to say that was rejected then I was told " maybe you should just order from the wine by the glass"
Maybe you should know your clients taste ... check please !!!!
Awesome spot! Great food and great experience.
Food was prepared excellent. Ambiance was exactly what you expect in high end steak house. Staff was extremely attentive. Will definitely return in the future
Very hard to find, the address on here actually takes you a random road north of the resort, also when I booked I didn’t even know this was inside a resort. I feel it needs a better description. The bell hop guys were super helpful driving me back to my car so I can valley it because we ended up parking by the condos and walking because we didn’t know this was a resort and we’re lost. My friends were even more lost because they went to bourbon and bones, in old town.
The hostess was nice super sweet!
The waitress was nice just very long winded but never really answered our questions but we were the last table maybe she was tired. Never quite got our waters right but it could be hard when everyone at the table has a different preference.
Cocktails were a bit light but our second round was heavy.
Food was good me and my hubby hot Japanese vs American wagyu, we didn’t realize they were just going to give us 3oz it wasn’t enough and kitchen was closed at 9pm. Which is fine but maybe they should say that when you book at 8:00 and your food takes 40-50 minutes. Side were nothing different from any other place a bit bland, never got a hold of waitress to ask for salt. Then again I know she’s probably multitasking trying to get ready for close. They should really not accept late reservations here.
Heard good things about the French fries but wasn’t really impressed they all tasted a bit cold and mushy.
Would I come back? Only if I was staying at the resort. The staff is so nice. Plus I’m sure my experience would have been better if they weren’t in a rush to in n out n us.
Online photos are misleading as there is no ambience. We dine out often and the food was good but nothing special.
Parts of the meal were excellent, but the service was pitiful and impacted the overall experience. The waiter was very nice, just inept. Many better restaurants in Scottsdale.
Over priced for the quality of the meal. I've had much better steaks at the MET in Seattle, Ruth Chris, Dominicks, etc. any other high end steak house will beat this place. Very disappointed in the quality of the food especially since we spent $400 for our dinner and drinks.
Birthday, it was a great experience, it just a pain to
Love everything about this restaurant! This is our 3rd time here and as amazing as the first time over 10 years ago!
It was a fantastic experience, every time we are there we are treated like royalty. Can’t recommend it enough
Our service was overall great.
The rest wasn’t enjoyable. We were sat right next to other guests. I could have a conversation with the table next to us and there was no privacy. Not what I expect when it comes to fine dinning. We couldn’t get out of their seats without excusing ourselves. The table next to us banged into us every time they got up.
The food was not what we expected. It was extremely salty. It was as if the salt lid fell off their seasonings when they prepared the food.
I would have given the service a five stars because with was mostly fantastic, but it was as if the server knew the food was horrible. She never asked how it was and didn’t bother to ask when she noticed I hadn’t ate any of it.
Great for a special night, amazing service, friendly staff, delicious food.
Service was top notch and they celebrated my husbands birthday perfectly!
My sister & I took our niece for dinner, to celebrate her graduation from college. The food was amazing and the service impeccable.
More than that - the Executive Chef, Sara, personally reached out to me to discuss what I wanted for my niece’s cake. Now THAT is service! Highly recommend this restaurant! We had a wonderful experience.
Halibut was over cooked. Dessert became gratis. Wine very good. Earl gray tea also very good.
This was our first time at Bourbon Steak. We have dined at the top steak houses across America and had very high expectations for Bourbon based on reviews and recommendations from the Scottsdale Fairmont Princess Hotel.
We were warmly greeted by the two hostesses who immediately noted we were there to celebrate a special anniversary. We were quickly shown to our table and welcomed by one of the floor managers who poured a complimentary glass of champagne in recognition of our special day. Very pleasant introduction!
We were turned over to a server who was training a new person for the serving position. Oysters on the half shell were recommended so we ordered them along with martinis. The drinks were right on but the oysters were less than perfect. They had a strong fishy smell and were not chilled to the proper temperature.
The next course was a wonderful house salad that is not on the menu. We saw it served to another table and asked about it and then ordered it. We ordered a bottle of wine to go with dinner. The wine list is reasonable in depth with good representations from the Old and New World. However, the wines are severely over priced in comparison to places like Mortons, Ruth Chris, Capital Grill, Metropolitan Grill etc.
My wife and I both ordered filet mignon - hers medium rare plus and mine medium rare. We ordered a side of brussels sprouts. This is where our disappointment really raised its ugly head. My steak was cold and way overdone. Fortunately, my wife's was cooked perfectly! Our server did not return to ask about dinner for over 20 minutes. This was surprising to say the least. The sprouts were great so I enjoyed them.
Overall, a lot of good things but just not the crisp service and warm environment we expect from a top line steak house. I have no problem paying $55 for a great steak but feel taken advantage of when served a poor one.
The noise level in the dining room was surprisingly loud. It was difficult to carry on a conversation.
Enjoyed our first night out at a "real" restaurant in over a year. Service was great and the Lobster Pot Pie was fabulous.
All attention to detail was great as were the thoughtful treats. The problem was the steak. We paid $81 for a Delmonico steak. It had absolutely NO flavor. It was supposed to be a ribeye. Did not look or taste like one. One quarter was connective tissue. No seasoning or treatment to bring out flavor. And the bacon jam that came with the potato was heavily smoked...the bottle type flavor. It overwhelmed all else. Just stick with lots of butter! The other accompaniments with potato were a waste! Can't believe Michael Minna can stand for this in restaurant with his name. We skipped wine because of outrageous prices. More moderate prices may make you more sales! Big disappointment for my husband's birthday.
