Bourbon Steak Scottsdale does not disappoint. Sunday night is the time to go since there aren't many diners and the noise level is much better, particularly when tables are spread out currently. Logan spent time with us and guided us through the menu and service was spotless. Their seafood selection is just as strong as their steak offerings.
Great celebration place! Love the tasting menu!
This is one of our favorite places to have a steak (in and outside of AZ). The food is excellent every time and the service is always top notch. This visit was no different—Logan, our server, was great along with the rest of the staff that checked in on us. Highly recommended!!
The food was delicious as always. From the grouper to the ribeye. The service was fantastic. Attentive, but not intrusive. We felt very safe with the social distancing and other safety measures.
Food and service were amazing. It’s a little pricey but well worth it.
Food service and ambiance were all incredible. Our server Jenna was amazing and the wine expert Maki is phenomenal!. Going back soon
Wonderful dining experience. Excellent food, ambiance, and the server really made us feel like we were being taken care of. We plan on returning, soon!
The Christmas Lights with dinner is a wonderful night out. Date night or with kids as long as they can behave in a nice restaurant.
We truly have been wanting to try this restaurant and the food did not disappoint it was very good but extremely disappointed on the high mark up of the wine it wasn’t fair that you take a relatively reasonable bottle of Malbec which is marked up 4 times what it’s worth the extremely higher ends weren’t near as bad so it left no options to drink wine this evening which was disappointing
I decided to round up with a 4 star review due to the outstanding food. It was delicious on all fronts- from the starter to dessert. The wine was also spot on for the meal we had. The steaks were perfectly cooked, the sides were flavorful, and the presentation was top notch. Kudos to the chef and the back of the house.
Now the service- oh the service was terrible. We had to ask someone to please fill our wine because the bottle was not kept on the table (totally fine but dont make us ask twice), the server did not check on our meal one time (good thing the steaks were cooked the way we ordered), and we had to ask for our check. When paying a few hundred dollars for a meal we expect the experience to be better overall. Honestly, the service is some of the worst we've had.
Overall Bourbon Steak needs to step it up in the front of the house so the back of the house can continue to shine.
Service was really slow, i had to keep asking for water, my old fashioned wasn’t right how they supposed to be i was disappointed bc in a big old fashioned girl, my meat wasn’t cook how i ask. I don’t see myself going back.
My husband and I dined here for New Years Eve and the only time they had left available was when they opened at 5pm, so we took it. We were ushered to a small two top table in the corner near their patio. First impressions was the fact that the dining room felt too cafeteria for an upscale steak restaurant. The tables were thin and cheap, no table clothes for the occasion, and each seat had a square folded napkin with a overturned stemless water glass on top. The ambiance was not very romantic, and it just felt cold. We were greeted by our very nice waiter who did a great job overall, was courteous, kind, and knew the products he was serving. He let us know upon greeting that it was a set menu for New Years, which had enough options for us to be pleased with. I’ve spent over 20yrs in the restaurant industry and have dined many many places and I have to say the food was ok, certainly not worth what we paid though. My husband ordered a $35 1/4# king crab appetizer and what he got were two very small pieces of leg, one about 1x6” long and the other about half that. The prix fixe menu included 3 courses, starter, entree, dessert. We both had 2 drinks each and each had an appetizer. With tip our total was $420. Now I am pleased to pay this for an amazing experience, but this was not that. It was mediocre at best, nothing that’ll leave a lasting impression except the bill and the stomach ache I had for the rest of the evening. I made it two bites into my rare filet mignon before I felt sick, later actually getting sick at home. All in all, money not well spent and I won’t be coming back to Bourbon Steak at the Princess. Very unfortunate.
Our experience was great on my Wife’s Birthday and Devon did an excellent job of making her day and our dinner special.
We had an amazing dining experience!
We have eaten at several other Bourbon Steaks. The Scottsdale does not meet the test.
Luke warm steaks with little flavor paired with poor service. Was slow to take drink order and forgot to bring the Bourbon menu and our drinks.
We went here so we could see the lights at the Princess. The experience seeing the lights was much better than the dinner itself. The food was very mediocre for the 4 of us. I had the Seabass and it was pretty bland. My daughter's wedge salad didn't have much dressing. My fiance had the chicken (a primary entree) and it was quite bland as well.
On the plus side the fries were the best I’ve had, the beet salad was great and my husband’s fillet was wonderful. The disappointing part was that the server had to be reminded twice to bring our sparkling water and again for another beer. The broccolini was cold and basically inedible. The Brussels sprouts were greasy. Our server saw that we ate very little of the side dishes yet failed to ask if there was something wrong with them; He seemed very disconnected, distant and distracted.
The topping on the cake was the $90.00 charge for valet service. With all of the fine dining choices in the valley we definitely would not recommend Bourbon Steak.
Celebrated our 40th Wedding Anniversary there - nice meal and great service
Being an upscale steakhouse at the Princess, we had high expectations especially for how much the food costs $$$$. The complimentary fries were delicious along with the sauces. Service was excellent and attentive. My husband ordered the Delmonico ribeye and my daughter and I ordered the American Wagyu ribeye. Each steak is cooked in salt and garlic butter, however, our steaks came out flavorless and dry. Mac and Cheese was room temperature and lacking flavor. Only thing fancy about the Mac n cheese were the shells. We did enjoy the fried rice which is more like Korean fried rice with kimchi in it. Overall, the taste and quality of the food didn’t match the price. We left disappointed
Was excellent Christmas dinner, and we had very good time! Servers are very well trained and knowledge about the food and wine. We had great time!
Our steaks were like eating a bowl of salt.
Food was cold. Was a hotel guest so thought the restaurant would be good. Worst steak house I’ve ever been. So unfortunate.
Eclectic Steakhouse with Great Ambiance. Bar Area with a Good Vibe. Very Friendly Staff & Bartenders. Unfortunately we had a Very Unattentive Waiter who ruined Our True Experience of The Restaurant. Luckily We were able to Flag down Staff to get us what we needed.
The sommelier was extremely rude and scoffed at us. I had about a tablespoon of sediment in my wine glass. It was gross. We’ve purchased many bottles of far more expensive wine and have never experienced that. Some sediment, yes, however nothing like that. When we asked the sommelier about it, she was incredibly rude. She acted as if we should have expected it. Well if that was the case, then why did she pour it all in my glass? She walked off an laughed trying to mock my husband. Perhaps she thought she wasn’t in earshot. This was our Christmas dinner and we were trying to end the holidays with a lovely family experience. When you spend nearly $900 on a dinner you expect something nice. This fell far below our expectations. The menu was limited - we did not know that upon booking. There was very limited vegetarian fare. The food was okay. Not worth the price tag whatsoever. Our waitress did a decent job.
This was the best steak my husband has ever had. The atmosphere was nice- would ask for a window seat next time. We sat in the bar area. Portions were reasonable. We plan to make this a new Christmas tradition.
Everything was great except the cost. It was more expensive than I thought.
My steak was great but not relative to the price. Everything else was terrific.
On Christmas Day, my pork tenderloin was outstanding. My wife’s prime rib was good, and our friend’s salmon was good. I cannot complain, but I expected just a little more from Michael Mina.
Wait staff was excellent.
Food was good but very $$$$. Service was terrible. We were left to sit there most of the time without being checked on.
The Lobster was undersize.
I was disappointed in the crab appetizer. For $60, you get the most undesirable part of a king crab and a tiny quantity at that. I buy 10lb of king crab from Costco and steam them at home. The pieces they served, I don’t even eat at home. The amount of salt used to plate the crab is just outright a waste. The steak was amazzzzzing.
There’s nothing quite like Christmas at the princess. So festive and magical for all ages. Dinner was superb served leisurely outside with heaters to keep you warm and distanced.
I enjoyed the food, the waiters were great. But, when leaving, the hostess didn’t look up and say goodbye or happy holidays, nothing. I even stood there for a bit to see if she would look up and say well wishes, to no avail.
Service was top notch. Ambiance was great. Food was just not very impressive, especially considering paying top notch. I ordered the delmonico ribeye and it was very plain and wasn’t cooked the best. Expected a higher quality cut of meat as well. The peppercorn sauce was good, bernaise sauce not my fave. Skipped dessert since entree not great. Disappointed considering the price.
