What an amazingly great experience. Michael Mina is a great chef who has restaurants throughout the world. This Bourbon Steak (Mina has several) offers the highest quality, perfectly cooked food of every kind. And the service is uniformly great, from the maitre d’s and receptionists to the captains, waiters and busboys. Definitely worth going to.

Excellent service, coupled with tasty food with a reasonable variety (they don’t try to do too much in fear of getting away from what way do best). Great special occasion spot (tip: ask for upfront booths if you want more intimacy)

Wagyu A5 was good but not great. There was a large amount of fat only portions. In addition there were limited selections of vegetables.

The food was incredible - and service outstanding. Everything you would expect in fine dining and more. We both felt like our steaks ranked among the best we’ve ever had but we were a little shell shocked at the prices! This will be a “special occasion” place for sure.

Service was superb. I’ve had better steak. Lobster Mac n cheese is not good, looks like a kids dish with the small ‘Kraft like’ macaroni.

It was good but not as good as our past experiences. $45 corkage fee is just insane. If I would’ve known I would’ve passed on bring my $100 bottle of wine. Not impressed with any salad offering. The Kale Caesar Salad is terrible and changing out the kale for iceberg is not the same. Tried the blt wedge and very dry and bland. The shrimp cocktail is very good but they are stingy with the cocktail sauce. A tiny bit is put on individual giant shrimp. Extra should be on the ice presentation.
My Mary’s Chicken was good (formally jadore) but not as good as last time. Steaks ordered at our table very good, and the potatoes purée was ridiculously good. The truffle Mac was too truffley.
Loved my b4 dinner lemon drop martini. Dessert was disappointing as they didn’t have the chocolate strawberry parfait and the Benets were dry & crime brûlée’s with it cold. Coffee good.
3pp one cocktail each, our own bottle of wine, 2 salads, 3 entrees, 2 sides to share, 2 desserts to share & 3 coffees $650 including tip. About $200 too much for this experience.

As always the evening at Bourbon Steak was a delight. The product from the bar through dessert was great. The sommelier was a big help tasting a couple bottles of wine I brought. She made sure there were no mistakes when my guests were served.

The food is always well prepared and beautifully presented. We were celebrating the birth of my first grandchild and we wouldn’t change a thing. That’s high praise.

After we were seated, we waited 25 minutes for a server to approach our table. The food (we all ha steak of one sort or another) was generally good, including the sides. The tuna tartare was disappointingly tasteless. The prices were outrageously excessive. (Coming from NY, I am used to high prices for good food, but this seemed to be an attempt to win "most outrageously overpriced meal in America".)

I should have asked to sit closer to the windows/balcony. The server was awesome, the steak was 9/10... the fries - 11/10, the roll 11/10... excellent service in every way.

Everything was great except for the steak. Only ate half, cooked incorrectly twice and gave up. The branzino was delicious. Staff was superb and ambiance was unmatched. Just left a bit frustrated with the way the steak was cooked and tasted. Rubbery, no seasoning etc. it was the black angus filet mignon.

Beautiful place with excellent steaks and seafood. Large portion of sides - enough for 2/3 each. We shared Snapper between 2 people and could have been for 3/4.

Definitely worth checking out, just be prepared on pricing. Dinner for two without wine was over $500.

Another impeccable service by the whole staff. We were greeted with champagne and broiled blackberry in celebration of our anniversary. We always request for Thomas as our main server, but everybody helped and kept checking at our table if we needed anything. Food is excellent as always! Our favorite is the Broiled Seafood in sizzling plate, bread with truffle butter and sea bass. Compliments to the chef and his sous chefs!

The food was sublime; the service equal to the food. Little pleasant surprises, like the duck fat fries, with three dipping sauces pre-meal, the rolls with truffle butter baked in...the sommelier’s courtesy and patience with my uninformed questions...the unusual wagyu Snake River farms zabuton cut...buttery, flavorful, tender...the only other time we’ve had this cut was in Tokyo, and this one was equally excellent.

Made reservations for my wife's birthday and it was our first time at this restaurant. The service was impeccable and the staff was super friendly and attentive. The food was superb and we enjoyed every minute of it. The view of the grounds with the ocean in the background was amazing as well. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed the experience very much. The people waiting on us were very good - not intrusive, yet there when we needed anything. The food was amazing! I relish the quiet to moderate noise level. It's rare to go to a restaurant today where you can carry on a conversation at a normal voice level...and hear everyone!!! I really REALLY dislike noisy restaurants. Thank you for this wonderful environment. And, of course, the views are spectacular.

Service was slow took forever to get our bottle of wine and my wife’s steak had weird flavors to it. It was not very tasty. The chilled card was great and steak tartare was great .

Having grown up in the meat business, I’m very particular about steaks. My wife and I both had the Wagyu Mishima 6oz filet, and it was the finest steak (and preparation) I’ve ever eaten. We also had the hot seafood appetizer, which was truly extraordinary—raw is great—but this hot preparation elevated the experience to the heavens. The simple roll served with appetizers/salad was like a little surprise golden nugget (you wish you had a half dozen to bring home!), as were the complimentary duck fat fries—with a shout out to the truffle aioli, ‘OMG, I love you man!’ The “Garden Salad,” which we split, seemed to harken back to the days of nouvelle cuisine (rather small to split), but the flavors and textures made it an outstanding choice—one magnificently perfect bite after another. The truffle mac and cheese is a must, yet the Brussels Sprouts were just a mediocre dish. The coconut layer cake was only very good, but the white chocolate ginger ice cream with charred pineapple that accompanied the cake was sublime and memorable. Our server Jaci, who is quite an impressive sommelier in her own right, was attentive, descriptive, and made outstanding recommendations of both food and wines. We found her to be charming, authentic, and lovely—Michael Mina should be proud to have her representing his brand. Bourbon Steak is a gift to south Orange County, and should be on everyone’s special occasion list. We can’t wait to come back and try the epic Lobster Pot Pie!

We celebrated our anniversary here. We got glasses of champagne to start which were amazing. Food was incredible. We got free caramel popcorn and truffles as well. The French fries were to die for. I highly recommend having date night here.

Sent steak back twice and never saw server again. The manager was lovely but the whole experience was a let down and expensive for what we had.

Great service and food. Just a little loud. Very hard to speak to each other. I had couple of senior citizens with me as well which made it tough.
Very attentive staff and always checking back with us which was great. Food was excellent.
Would highly recommend.

IT WAS AWESOME! The Sommelier picked an EXCELLENT wine and the special chef’s tomahawk steak was the hit of dinner. Perfect place to entertain clients! And, the one “no meat eater” LOVED the ahi tuna and salmon!

We went to Bourbon Steak to celebrate a combo birthday/engagement. The staff was incredible and made the experience so memorable. They were extremely attentive and made extra effort to ensure we had a special night. They even helped a friend arrange the delivery of a bottle of Champagne to help us celebrate. Can't wait to go back for another special occasion!
