Wonderful dining experience. First time at Bourbon Prime. My wife's filet mignon was one of the best steaks I ever tasted. Our waiter - I believe his name was Tucker - was exceptional and gave the right level of attention without being intrusive.
Very good filet mignon and crafted cocktails. Side items were not of the same quality. Mashed potatoes were puréed like baby food and lacked flavor and texture. Service was ok. They were very busy on a Saturday night at 8pm. Ambiance is not romantic with bright lighting and seating on par with less expensive chain restaurants. Minor tweaks could elevate this restaurant to sometime much nicer.
Beautiful hotel and bar area with fire feature and upscale decor in lobby which is not carried over to this more expensive restaurant.
I loved the filet mignon! It was so tender and juicy 🤗 The only thing I was not too fond of were the confit wings. The sauce was delicious, but the wing itself was overcooked. Great Saturday night dinner location.
This was our first time eating here so we weren't quite sure what to expect but everything exceeded we could have expected. The cornbread muffins were sweet with just enough pepper flakes cooked in, both of our steaks were very flavorful, and the whipped potatoes were a nice side. The apple cobbler presentation inside the Mason jar was a little difficult to eat but the taste was worth it. Our server was excellent and very attentive, and best of all they validate parking! I would definitely return and tell others to try it. The price makes it more of a special occasion type of dinner, but it will definitely enhance whatever occasion is being celebrated.
The service was lacking here. Our new waitress forgot things and didn’t seem to have any knowledge of the menu. She also was short and brash when she came to the table. The food was ok but the descriptions were far more inventive than the food itself.
For being in a Marriott it was quiet, service was outstanding, and we had a great time with the waitress. Great recommendations
We were there in a Thursday night and it was slow and really quiet. Maybe som background music or music at the bar area would be nice.
Had the featured dish-gumbo and found it lacking the seafood previously featured on Facebook post. Other dish was pork chop, which was very good.
We would recommend it to a friend. We’ve been there several times and I think this time they were just having an off night. It was a holiday weekend and I’m sure everyone was just tired. Our food was hot and our server was very nice.
It was a little louder than usual, but I believe that WVU was playing so the bar area was crowded.
That was one of the best burgers we have ever tasted. The desert was phenomenal!

Visited Morgantown over the weekend and wanted to try a new place before seeing a show. My pal and I had outdoor seating, and Tucker was our waiter -- and he couldn't have been more helpful and congenial, coupled with a good sense of when we needed something. Great meal (steak frites, charcuterie board) and drinks (the "Almost Heaven"). Upscale with upscale prices, but upscale service and food. Thanks!
Steaks were undercooked, but still good. Rather under than over cooked I guess. The wait for our food was quite long and the outside seating I would only suggest before sunset. Our waiter was great and knew the everyone on n off the menu! I would give this place another try and def ask for the same waiter.
Food is OK.. not great.. pepperoni rolls were burned. A little noisy.. wait staff were helpful but seemed almost too busy.. Nice place for Morgantown but would not survive in truly competitive market.

We stayed two nights at the Marriott hotel where the restaurant is located and we had dinner and breakfast both days. Overall, we thought the food and service were good. Our server on Sunday evening, Tucker, was especially attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable and made great suggestions. The bartender/mixologist is great; he makes an excellent martini and a tasty negroni. If the weather is nice, the patio overlooking the river is a nice place for cocktails or meals.
Food was not of great quality and was overpriced for the little amount of food you receive.
Our server, Owen, was friendly and efficient. The food was excellent.

I’ve been to Bourbon Prime a few times and liked the burgers, pizzas, and pepperoni rolls I got with my husband. Last Friday, I convinced my girlfriends to go there on our girls night out. Unfortunately, I left feeling embarrassed that I had recommended going there. We ordered the gnocchi, pork chops, and two pieces of the chocolate cake, and we were very disappointed in the small portions, especially the gnocchi and chocolate cake. I estimate that there were about 15 gnocchi in the dish, if that, and the chocolate cake was about the size of a cupcake. It was very disappointing, and we left hungry. Although the quality of the food was good, I don’t think we will be returning or recommending Bourbon Prime to friends due to the extremely small portions of some dishes.

The food was excellent, the restaurant is set nicely and quietly. The food is priced reasonably for a high end establishment but the drinks are very expensive. Have a bourbon and switch to water unless you want a monster bill.

The prime NY Strip was ordered MR and came MW and was not as tender as I expect a prime aged cut to be. The sauce was delicious.
The server was professional and helpful, so the lack of prompt service may have been caused or influenced by other factors.
The place was pretty much empty and there were plenty of servers. We waited almost 20 minutes to be acknowledged at our table. Once someone decided to be our waiter he did a decent job. The best part of the evening was the Country Roads Bourbon. The food was bland at best. We paid way too much for the quality of food presented to us. Far below what we have come to expect at a Marriott property. Save your money on the food and go there only for a night cap.

It is a nicely decorated place with a nice ambiance. The service was excellent and they had a decent wine list. They also had some really cool bourbon drinks if you like bourbon. My husband had one of the specials which was very tasty and nicely presented. I had the scallops and andouille sausage. They allowed me to substitute sides for something I liked better. I chose the scalloped cauliflower which was delicious. The sausage and scallops had a wonderful flavor but the scallops were very overcooked and chewy. When i mentioned this to the server, she comped us a dessert to compensate us. We had banana pudding and it was wonderful as well. I would definitely return to this place.
Service was fast and the food was good. Just wish they had steaks available for lunch.
We ate here about 6 months ago. The food was delicious. I order shrimp and grits. This time everything was different. My shrimp and grits were not even the same looking meal. My mother's pepperoni rolls were burnt on the bottom. They did re make them. The Mac and cheese was ice cold as soon they were brought to the table. It's going to be a while before we are back. I'm not sure what changed but it was disappointing. I hope that maybe we're just there on a off night or something.
We are not from the area but ate at Bourbon Prime prior to attending Mountain Stage at the University of West Virginia. We both had fish as the main course and both dishes were very tasty and well presented. We ate quite early so the restaurant was uncrowded and very quiet at that time. The service was very good and the staff very friendly and helpful in answering all our questions and in giving us helpful directions when we left.
Burnt pizza was served. Highly touted soup was mediocre. Service was inattentive.
We went for Easter Brunch as we have enjoyed dinners at Bourbon Prime and expected similar quality. The Leg of Lamb was excellent. Other than that the food was very disappointing given the price and prior dining experiences. More what I would expect at a cafeteria style restaurant.
Our major complaint was the automatic gratuity of 22%! First of all there were only 2 of us in our group. Secondly, it was a buffet and the waitress essentially kept our tea glasses filled and took away dirty dishes...not worth 22% tip on an already expensive buffet.
Very disappointed in Easter brunch. Several food items were empty, and what was there was cold. Setting was in a loud banquet hall. Music was very nice. Will not go back anytime soon for a buffet.
Morgantown is not known for great fine dining so Bourbon Prime is a welcome addition. It is a good spot to take a business contact. The service was superb. The salmon was very tasty though the sides that came as part of the entree were paltry so make sure you order some extras.

For the price we expected a nicer setting. It was very small and completely open to the hotel area. Two of our four steaks were not cooked correctly. When paying $34 for a steak it should be cooked correctly.
