The atmosphere is great. If you are looking for a night life atmosphere. Due to bar locations and staff not directing people to sit at stools tables were crowded by guests waiting or looking to enjoy just drinks.
Food was fine but all came out at different times.
Overall fine but for the price there are a lot of other places to enjoy in Charleston. It feels like a place you a paying for the vibe versus an actual good meal.
Fun fun fun!!
It was wonderful!! I loved the expresso Martinis and large selection of bourbon! Our waitress was lovely!!
Sam is the most congenial bartender I’ve ever met. Lots of great suggestions and good convo!
Amazing servers, ambiance and food! Enjoyed the champagne flight and the lighting as well! Will definitely recommend to others !
Very impressed. Small, intimate place with a smaller menu, but everything was outstanding. Wife is a vegetarian and they had lots of options. I had shrimp & grits and it was killer. Obviously a good drink & wine selection.
Thanksgiving dinner was sub-par. Would never go back.
It rates itself as an upscale dining experience, but the set up is more fancy cocktail lounge with small cocktail sized tables. Not good for anything dining other than drinks and appetizers. It’s awkward and disappointing to be charged $75 a person for a prix fixed holiday diner only to be seated in a noisy bar with a slamming door at two mini tables. Too tight of a space. Spend your money elsewhere for dinner — Stop here for a cocktail you’ll get the experience without the “experience” if you catch my drift.
Too crowded, indifferent service, mediocre food. It must be a stop on some food tour, people just kept pouring in. Not a pleasant experience, and expensive!
It was Thanksgiving night. Appetizer took 45 minutes to arrive. Entree took another 45 minutes. You can guess how long dessert took. I get that it was busy and probably understaffed due to holiday, but c'mon. Couple at table next to us gave up after their entree and left. Server turned up 20 minutes after they'd gone with their dessert. Our server didn't look frazzled. Just didn't seem to really care. I've been a server. You apologize. You comp some drinks. You send your manager over to apologize. You do something other than disappear for 30 minutes at a time without checking on your table. It was a $75 set menu. Food was just OK. Medallion of beef was actually beef tips. Vegetarian option was some cold quinoa with 4 slices of squash and 4 tomatoes. Hardly worth $75. Overall a really uninspiring evening.
It is hard to review since we went on Thanksgiving. The server was on top of it. The food seems to be priced too high but it was thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving special menu. Should have had table already set, had to ask for place settings when we were served our food! Water was served in a plastic cup. Our server was very nice.
Booked a reservation here a few weeks before Thanksgiving for a price fixe meal not knowing what to expect. We’ve been to Charleston’s top restaurants and this was not one of them. Food was just meh, nothing special hal at all…for $75 po for a 3-course, it filled us up but that was about it. Woodford Reserve old fashioned (x2) were $20 bucks a piece…nothing special. Pumpkin pie tasted like it was out of a box. Our server Emily, was gracious but she could do little to ease the pain of the mediocre e Perrin e with mediocre food.
At almost $300 for 2 people, I felt completely taken advantage of. Come for a craft cocktail. Not the food.
Sat at bar and had a fantastic bartender named David.
Really great drinks and cool vibe - charcuterie board was massive
Awesome place! Drinks were amazing, no surprise based on the name. The food blew us away! Our new favorite dining destination.
The hostess was pleasant when seating us and was the highlight of our experience. A film crew was there to interview the owners/managers/uncertain as to who or why, and was very obtrusive. And while I realize this is not a review of the film crew, I do believe it to be a reflection on the lack of attention and low service standards of the staff of B&B. We'd barely put in our drink order before the crew set up at elbow's distance from our table. Due to the layout of the restaurant we were essentially cut off from being able to leave our table, or have any service. Ironic you may see increasingly disgruntled diners in the background of the puff piece while sipping nothing but water, holding menus, and looking at their watch. Well more than 15 minutes went by when the bartender eventually stretched around the crew to hand us our drinks over the heads of other patrons. No apology, smile, or acknowledgement of the discomfort from the bartender or owner being interviewed. The rest of our time was essentially the same although eventually they did move away from our table. When the crew was breaking down their lighting they asked other patrons to move so they could set up ladders to take down lighting hanging above them and their food/drinks.
We had a great time, celebrating our friend’s birthday! The staff/service was great.
Good ambiance. Crab dip was great.
I took a friend for dinner to celebrate her birthday. The restaurant had been recommended by friends. The menu was extremely limited.
The food was very good but this is more of a bar scene. I wouldn’t recommend for a nice quiet dinner which at this point in my life is what I look for.
The place is fun for drinks and a pick. It’s a younger crowd.
Shrimp and grits was delicious
Beautiful restaurant with friendly staff and great ambiance. Appetizers/ shared plates - olives , hummus , tempura shrimp- all delicious and of generous size. A few missteps: The harvest salad either came out minus the vinaigrette or it was too subtle to be noticed and one of the entrees ordered was not finished as requested. Nevertheless, a great experience in the upper King Street neighborhood.
First visit to this nice little spot on Upper King. Very cozy midcentury luxe vibe, lovely and welcoming staff, great food (3 out of 4 of us had the shrimp and grits, which was terrific).
A couple of the cocktails were far too sweet (we asked in advance) but the waiter was very accommodating if addressing that for our party. It's not an extensive menu, but there's a good diversity of choice - will definitely go back!
The food was excellent, the service was superior, it was a little dark but the ambience was excellent. We will be going back
Loved the decor and theme of this place! It was our first time coming to this restaurant. Would definitely come again next time we are in Charleston.
Amazing venue very worth the price
Service wasn't great and staff wasn't friendly.
We were only in Charleston for one day and it was a cold rainy Friday! Glad we chose Bourbon and Bubbles for dinner. It was a cool vibe and the food and drinks were outstanding!
The place was amazing. Great staff and compliments to the chef. The food was fantastic. I would recommend to anyone asking for a favorite place to dine in downtown Charleston.
It was a cute place to grab drinks, food was average, but I would still recommend for the ambiance.
Very nice evening. Food was good but a bit heavy. Our waitress Kaitlin was fantastic- informative, fun and very helpful. A fun night for our first night in Charleston.
Great service and vibe. Food very good. Wine was even better!
Truly poor food quality. Drinks were very expensive and small pours. Food was cooked a day in advance and lost its flavor. Salad was almost wilted. Steak was low quality and tough.
Wonderful spot when visiting, the cocktails are outstanding!!
Food not great, drinks mediocre. Will not be back but wanted to try.
Made a reservation and still had to wait 30 mins and then the staff couldn’t find my reservation. The waitress was very busy but took forever to order.
Attentive server and great food in a fun atmosphere. Great selection of bourbons to enjoy. The only negative was the "4% CC Fee" that was added to the bottom of our check. Server told us that this is a fee for credit card usage and would be removed if we paid cash. Two points here: if you are going to add a 4% fee then build it into the cost and offer a 4% discount by paying cash; if you are really paying a 4% merchant service fee then you are overpaying. I understand the cost of doing business, but be upfront with your customers and don't surprise them at the end.
The broken table in 4 chunks and disgusting dirty menus kind of killed it for us.
