Simply amazing, i love this place.
We truly enjoyed another visit to this restaurant. This is another Brennan’s success story! I had a bowl of seafood gumbo and a appetizer. Both were spot on. My wife had the soup of the day and the Bourbon House burger. She enjoyed hers very much. We’ve enjoyed this restaurant numerous times.
We love bourbon house but had poor service this particular night. We’ve been many times and this was the first bad service we’ve had. Disappointed but the food was excellent!
The fried shrimp was very good as was the red fish on the half shell my wife had. The fried cat fish that was part of my combination plate was just ok.
The real thing wrong was the French fries that I had. They were old soggy cold and limp. I can get better fries at any fast food place. For this place to serve that was unacceptable.
George was awesome!!! He guided us through the menu and made good recommendations when needed. The oysters with crab meat were sooooo good, we came back our 2nd night in town. George remembered us!! It was overall a great night...well 2 nights :-)
Definitely try the bourbon flights my servers Azuca and Sampson were very helping with menu choice and and picking bourbon selections
Always great food, Alex was an awesome server
Once again, it was awesome! We always go to the Bourbon House when we visit New Orleans and have never been disappointed. Thanks for the great food!
Bourbon House is a very nice place to eat and we enjoyed our dinner there.
Very good food (bbq shrimp and surf ‘n’ turf). Excellent service.
Bourbon list not very up to date. Staff not knowledgeable of changes
Open Table booked our reservation for a time this restaurant was CLOSED! They were not serving breakfast this morning. I only hope they will be open later today for our dinner reservation.
El servicio es correcto y el lugar agradable pero la comida no es buena, nos ha decepcionado.
Gulf shrimp as an appetizer was outstanding. Only ordered six but should have ordered more. Had a pre dinner cocktail in the bar area. Both of our drinks were great. Fun people watching as well.
Food and service always great! Make sure you try the Crab claws!
Waitstaff was very nice. Food was mediocre. Pretty disappointed for the price point.
Okay restaurant. Reasonable food with reasonable pricing. Good service.
Matt and Alicia truly made my birthday experience a dream come true! From making sure I didn't wait for my milk punch to asking the chef if I could have a special request to all their smiles and friendliness throughout our dinner really left a mark - a great one! The food - oh my gosh the food! Of course it was out of this world delicious! We will be returning over and over to The Bourbon House to celebrate for many years to come!
Food was good but for breakfast, overpriced.
Very nice meals, good service. They make good drinks. Strawberry shortcake is superb. Easy to have conversations-not too noisy.
Food super disappointing
Redfish was really great, as were roasted oysters. Barrel-aged old fashioned was the best cocktail I’ve had this year!
Food was fair. I had a seafood combo. The fried oysters were good. The shrimp were frozen fried shrimp. The fried fish was fair. I do not expect to get frozen shrimp in New Orleans.
This restaurant is in the French Quarter and at Bourbon Street. It was ok. And we felt rushed through our meal and leave. The service was attentive but we felt hurried along.
Redfish on the Halfshell was awesome.
Loud loud loud!! Do not go here if you want to have any conversation over dinner. Food was good, but fairly standard for most New Orleans restaurants.
This is a favorite of ours and worth returning as certain things change on the menu so there are new things to try. My husband especially liked their specialty drink, bourbon milk punch. You can experience local flavors in a more upscale way than the fried seafood and dishes typical of more casual restaurants in the French Quarter, and even the bar area is pleasant to get in from Bourbon Street and have a more refined cocktail. Bourbon House has also come through for us on more than one occasion when we had difficulty getting reservations elsewhere.
Well since I had a reservation and as we arrived the front desk told us we didn’t have a reservation. Clearly he was lying especially when I got an open table email asking why I didn’t honor my reservation. We found a place to eat in the bar. We had two drink orders that never arrived and the took our food to the wrong people. I assume because I raised my displeasure that they didn’t honor our reservation they didn’t want to be around to serve us. The food is pretty good but it isn’t worth the hassle to be treated this poorly and lied to your face. Plenty of other places in this area to eat that value your business. I would pass on going here.
Great food, great service. Wonderful time!
Decent food, waitstaff was rushed, and though it was noisy I could still hold a conversation with my guest.
Just average food and a lack luster staff.
I usually take my out of town guest here for the oysters. They are still good. However, this time the entrees were so BAD! We ordered fish and had to send it back twice bc it was under cooked. And this kind of white fish, gulf fish, can not be eaten undercooked. No option for sushi grade if you know what I mean. It was rubbery and could not cut thru with a fork. Just awful. Not going back here again. Not at least for dinner.
Drink service was not good. Food service was okay. Food was great. Not kid friendly.
The food was very good and the service was even better! A must visit when in New Orleans.
The best charbroiled oysters I have had!
I was excited to dine here after reading some great reviews. I was definitely disappointed. The oysters we had for our first course were very fresh and tasty, unfortunately they did not come to the table at the same time. The entrees were very underseasoned. There was nothing special about them especially for the price. I would not go back.
Oysters with caviar were amazing!! Shrimp Po’boy was delicious and sauce on it was so good!
Service was great, very attentive and friendly. It was a little strange though to have two separate servers for food and drinks. This also seemed to be reflected in how long it took for us to receive and close our check. Overall though, we had a good experience and would recommend Bourbon House.
My family and I made a reservation for Easter Brunch based on what we saw on the menu on the Bourbon House website. When we arrived, there was nothing resembling a breakfast/brunch option anywhere on the menu, despite what is posted. When I asked the waitress, she noted that they stopped doing jazz brunch several months ago, and that other patrons had mentioned that the website is not up-to-date. She asked the manager, who told her that the special Easter menu, which has no brunch items on it, was the breakfast menu. At this point, it was too late for us to go somewhere else, so we stuck it out with burgers, pasta and chicken fingers. As we were leaving, I noted that the menu outside is the same as the one online, which has several breakfast options that evidently no longer exist. The food we got was good, and the waiter and waitress were very nice and apologetic, but I was surprised that the manager did not come over to discuss the situation. Is it really that hard to update a website? This was supposed to be a special day spent with my family, and while I refuse to let one disappointing meal ruin it, I found this experience entirely unsatisfactory.
Food was very good. Jasmine the waitress was inattentive and did not place order correctly and then charged extra for a substitution. Her helper Sampson made the experience so much better and without him it would have been a 2 Star.
