Blood mary was good and well dressed. The slaw on the oyster poor boy was sweet and over powering. The fish poor boy was bland. BBQ shrimp poor boy’s sauce was sweet and distracting. The French fries were crisp and tasty.

We visited Bourbon House for my birthday and it did not disappoint! The service was excellent, from the host to the servers. The food was top notch and I even received a complimentary slice of king cake and their signature milk punch. I would definitely recommend to everyone!

Very good waiters but the food was a bit hit or miss. Got the raw bar shrimp and they were fine, but not super flavorful and the sauces were odd. The cocktail sauce was more like tomato sauce and the aiolis weren’t much better. The house salad was similarly just fine. But the desserts and cocktails were delicious. The bourbon milk punch was transcendent and the creme brûlée was surprisingly one of the best i’ve had!

The final night in New Orleans was our finest, food wise! Bourbon House was elegant, yet comfortable, with an excellent array of food choices! For the non-fish person, lovely filets, for the fishmonger's pet, a whole fried fish, perfectly cooked , and, of course the iconic oysters. Drinks, salads and desserts were also marvelous. Our service from Kyle and Caitlan was spot on! Reservations are highly recommended!

I only ate here to get the crab fingers and they were so-so. The waiter seemed annoyed and pre-occupied. I don’t recommend. Too pricey and not worth it.

Everyone friendly, courteous, and professional. Table for 7 set and ready when we got there. Wine list was exceptional and the spirit mixologist was also exceptional. Everyone raved about the appetizers and their meal. Mine was the sword fish and it was the best I ever had. People watching through the large picture windows was also exceptional. I will recommend to friends visiting NOLA and I will reserve another table when I return to NOLA. Thank you for providing such exceptional food, drink, and service in a friendly, home like environment.

Food was excellent. The wait staff not so so much. My waiter didn’t know what the crab imperial was when I asked him. Said it was puréed crab sauce. It was in fact a stuffed crab that was very good. I almost didn’t order my meal based on what he told me. The beverage waiter didn’t know anything about the bourbons when I asked. Said there are too many to know them. This is a bourbon house!!!

This place is average. Food is good and came out quick, but nothing spectacular. Very few gluten free options were available , even though online it said there were several options, and our server shut down the possibility of the chef making any modifications to accommodate, which was disappointing. Atmosphere was bland. Service wasn’t great either. We didn’t hate it, but we won’t be back a second time. There are many more places to eat that offer a better overall experience with great food and staff that is more friendly.

Delicious food and a fantastic atmosphere! We were seated close to large windows that looked out at the people walking down Bourbon Street. I love to people-watch, so that made it extra fun. Between my husband and I, we had a bourbon flight, corn and crab bisque, gumbo, fried oysters, a bourbon house salad, and the red fish with crab meat. Everything was perfectly prepared and well seasoned. To finish I had a fantastic bread pudding with bourbon soaked cherries (instead of raisins), and he had creme brulee. It was a great meal in a beautiful and entertaining setting.

My family came for the Sugar Bowl and we made reservations for New Years Eve. From the atmosphere to the food to our waiter, Captain Fkeming, it was by far our favorite!

VERY cold both on New Year's Eve dinner and the next morning for breakfast. They said hotel was responsible for heat/cold. But did NOT get warmer. It was frigid outside; but for this "quality" hotel and restaurant it should have been nice and comfortable. FOOD was EXCELLENT.

Unbelievable selection of bourbons made a little simpler by very knowledgeable bartender and special spirits waiter. Wife had the redfish that was perfectly prepared especially in light of new Year’s crowds. I had the surf and turf with a rib eye that was so tender and tasty. Ask for prices on bourbon selections. Got caught on a $24 2 oz glass of angel envy cask. Great but probably would have passed for a more reasonable one. if we knew the price.
Compliments to staff for making a very crowded night not making us feel rushed

 (Des Moines)·Dined on December 31, 2017

Poor service from the time we walked in the door. We were 15 minutes early for our reservation. We told the hostess we were there, and she said it would be near our reservation time. After our reservation time had passed and we noticed other parties that had arrived after us being seated, i checked our status with another hostess and learned the first one didn’t check us in. Had to wait another ten minutes for table. After we were seated, the guy taking care of our beverages came over and we ordered. I ordered a bourbon flight, and asked about it. He didn’t seem to know anything, and went to get a flight card that he must have forgotten. You would think that someone who worked in a restaurant that featured bourbon could explain something about the flight. I had chilled shrimp for an appetizer that had to be peeled by hand. I had to ask for warm towel to clean hands. It arrived ten minutes after i asked for it. So sat with dirty hands for that time. When the appetizers arrived, the waiter said he would bring bread. It never arrived. We had to ask the manager who brought the entrees to the table for the bread. He seemed put out, but brought the bread. However, never offered an apology . The beverage guy never asked if we wanted another drink. He took an empty water bottle from the table and didn’t return with another one. We had to ask for one. It took a while to get the check, and once we provided a credit card it took about 15 minutes to get it back. Not the experience we expected from a Brennen restaurant, especially one where we had eaten before.

The food was fine but the service was horrible. The waiter was rude, pushy and full of mistakes. One of us ordered fish stew that the waiter described in detail and highly recommended. What he brought was a completely different soup, turkey chile, and he said it was all they had! He just dropped it on the table and kept going. I ordered catfish, which he never brought, so I was one of seven at the table with no entree. Instead of apologizing, he became aggressive and defensive. We were shocked at his behavior. Too many other great options in this wonderful city..
