We actually had reservations at a different restaurant but with the rain we decided on something closer. We were treated extremely well and the food was excellent. Besides appetizers we split the 2 filets. They were to perfection. Our compliments to the chef.

We very much enjoyed our first trip to Bourbon House. The atmosphere is energetic and friendly. The staff was very accommodating and attentive. Service was very good. The menu offers a wide array of New Orleans specialties as well as many other choices. If you are a friend of Bourbon you will be hard pressed to find a wider selection. Super place for a fun night in the French Quarter.

Great place to sample hard to get bourbons. Food okay. Typical tourist fair for the Quarter. Very noisy, but to be expected in a Friday night on Bourbon st.

What great options and variety for a family Thanksgiving meal! All dinning members were satisfied including the one who opted for the traditional seasonal dinner. Having never been to this establishment, the Yelp reviews allowed us to select the Bourbon House with confidence and were accurate.

They were not very busy but did not fill our water glasses after the first fill. The table having a birthday party in the corner were OBNOXIOUS. Food was really delicious.

Visiting from Dallas and staying at the Astor, made reservations downstairs at The Bourbon House and was not disappointed. Great cocktails, delicious food and the wait staff is amazing!

Our apprehension was realized. In large restaurants it is easy for the customer to become lost in the hustle and bustle. Two examples of this were as follows. 1. At our on time check in we were told that our table would be ready in five minutes. Fifteen minutes later one of the maitre d’s saw us standing in the front area looking bewildered and asked if we had been waited on. We told him that we were waiting for our table, he asked our name, checked the computer, and immediately sat us. 2. We had two servers one for drinks and the other for food. Our drink order was not to our liking and was missing something that was to accompany food. Near the end of the meal it was corrected without charge. There were other examples of this during the course of the evening. Granted, they were all minor in nature but their abundance chipped away at the overall enjoyment of an otherwise good (not great) meal.

The Bourbon House is an elegant oasis from the bustle of Bourbon street. The seafood selections are balanced by a myriad of signature cocktails. The bourbon milkshake and red velvet cheesecake are must try after dinner items. The staff is also attentive and knowledgeable.

Great decor, attentive, patient and knowledgeable staff. We went here for a birthday dinner. This is a great location right in the mix of street music and bars. We had the red fish which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The outstanding standout sadist would have to be the broiled oysters. Could have eaten 24.

This restaurant was a gem. Glad we left it for our last night in NOLA. The appetizer menu was terrific, and the recommendations of the server were spot on. Drinks were made with Bourbon, of course as were many of the entrees. Cost is typical of better eateries, if a little high. Try the crab claw appetizer. WOW! and the Red Fish is not to be missed.

Great food here! It's a plus if you like seafood, because shrimp and oyster dominates the menu! They have a great whiskey selection, as well as good beer and wine menus. Be sure to have the bread pudding or creme brulee for dessert.

I am a huge bourbon fan, they had rare bourbons. I seen more expensive drinks at other places. That's not my complaint. The restaurant was extremely dirty, our waiter was annoyed that my wife asked questions about the menu (she has a gluten sensitivity). They never brought me my entree... Overall, this was a not so great experience.

My husband and I visited New Orleans for a wedding. I was told that making dinner reservations at the Bourbon House was absolutely necessary, and after eating there I 100% agree! Using OpenTable, I made reservations a little over one month before our trip. I think this is pretty necessary as this is a very popular restaurant and spaces fill quickly. This is not a place you want to visit without a reservation (especially during dinner hours) because the wait would be at least an hour.
Our dinner was absolutely delicious! Both of us agree that it was our favorite spot in New Orleans all weekend! Order the BBQ grilled shrimp and the corn chowder and you will not be disappointed!

Very active at 6:30, had a reservation and were seated right away. Waiter and drink coordinator very prompt, great service, bottle of wine came right away, refills of water were prompt. The Baked Oysters app arrived quickly and was great. The Caesar Salad was as expected. My Entree was the Surf n Turf. The 12 oz. ribeye was a disappointment, way too chewy and rare instead of medium rare. The barbecue shrimp were ok not great (only 3), and surprisingly small for the $42 entree price. The Old Fashioned nightcap was excellent and eased the disappointment that was the entree.
