Excellent meal, loved the ambience, and the cocktails were a bonus!!
The staff where welcoming and knowledgeable! The food was amazing! We tried the Redfish, bbq shrimp, and several appetizers! The drinks where great and it was awesome to try a flight of bourbon!!
Great food and great service. This place is always top notch
Had a Thanksgiving meal there. A traditional spread of roast turkey, oyster cornbread stuffing, mashed Yukon Gold potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, and cranberry sauce is hard enough to find. So many places have substituted sweet potatoes for white, or don't have the classic New Orleans oyster-cornbread dressing, a feast is getting harder to find. I started this meal with shrimp remoulade and capped it off with Tarte a la Boilie, a Cajun custard tart. Delicious!
Came here for a friendsgiving brunch, Excellent food and cocktails. We loved the alligator wings.
We had a late reservation on a Sunday night in November. Staff was very friendly and enjoyable to talk to. The atmosphere was relaxed. We ordered alligator wings, barbecue po boy, and seafood gumbo. The alligator wings were ok. They were flavorful but chewy. The barbecue po boy was not appetizing and did not taste like barbecue at all. It tasted like gumbo. The gumbo was flavorful. Personally I would not eat here again because the food is just ok and it didn’t sit right in our stomachs.
Good food but small
Portions and a bit over priced. Drinks were watered down which is rare for NO. They also charged a $7 cleaning surcharge due to covid.
We were very disappointed this time around. Service was extremely slow. Orders repeated to waiter multiple times that never came.
CHEF Hargett made an outstanding meal fitting for the culinary artist that he is!
Had dinner there Friday evening off of the Coolinary menu. Husband had the pork tenderloin roulade and I had the blackened gulf fish. We both started with the crispy bourbonyaki ribs, which were spectacular! Food and service were great.
Great food and service
we had reservations so we were seated quickly, those without were turned away.
Bianca was our server, she was quite good. She knew her bourbons and the selection was phenomenal.
The alligator hot wings were good, not too spicy. The Remoulade shrimp were excellent. The service was good, there was some slowness from the kitchen but Bianca always had our drinks full.
Knocked a star down b/c the ladies room was not clean and 2 stalls were completely out of toilet paper.
For COVID, the staff wore face coverings and used fresh gloves regularly.
We enjoyed Bourbon House. The food was great. Bourbon Street was noisy with the kids banging on their makeshift "drums" and a lot of people hanging around. We would have preferred a quieter area, but that is what Bourbon Street is-a party place.
The food was fantastic. Especially the crab fingers. And the bourbon milk punch is probably the best tasting drink I have ever had. It is not terribly expensive but it is probably a little more costly than other places, so just be cautious of that if you are taking a large party. It may add up quickly. But that does not mean that the food is not worth the price.
Reception person was horrible. And unexceptionable she should be terminated.
Bourbon Houss is always a favorite of mine because BOURBON! Had the Maker's Mark flight and the burger. Not usually a seafood fan, but I pinched a couple of fried shrimp off my wife's plate. Food is fresh, made on premise, and always good.
Very casual service. Corn and crab soup very good. Fried food was...well fried food like anywhere.
We enjoyed a loving dinner experience for my wife and I’s anniversary. The atmosphere was just what you would want and expect from a fine New Orleans restaurant. The mood was very romantic.
Best food on Bourbon St
Had a wonderful and quiet dinner on Halloween. Definitely recommend the Crab and Corn Chowder. Creamy, sweet and not light on the crab. The Redfish was moist and cooked to perfection. Will be keeping this spot in mind the next time we are in town.
Came for our fancy babymoon dinner and it was amazing. Everything was perfect and our waiter Noel was attentive and great.
Great food. Great service. Oysters were delicious!
Had a wonderful time. Food was excellent.
We went for a birthday celebration.
The food was delightful, the service enthusiastic, the ambiance a step up. Bourbon street adds its own unique flavor, but the restaurant did its best to create an upscale environment. My favorite part was when the bartender told my brother he was jealous of his drink choice...way to make us secure in our menu choices!
All together a delicious and delightful evening!!
Like every restaurant in NOLA seemed they were just starting back up. So some u understanding . Service was pleasant, but disappeared for large chunks of time. Ordered a 2nd glass of wine before dinner arrived, it came at the end of dinner. Maybe restaurant in opening up again was understaffed, but disappointing none the less. Food was good, portions were good.
Great oysters and cocktails. Great bourbon spot!
Love the oyster bar and seafood platter. Service is always great snd everyone is friendly.
I couldn't be happier about my experience at Bourbon House. The staff was friendly, efficient, and attentive. The food was excellent. The ambiance was perfect.
A great place to grab a bite in New Orleans. The ambiance is what I call modern brass and glass. Not a traditional elegance but elegant in a modern, simplistic way. The lighting is gorgeous. Food was amazing. I tried raw oysters for the first time, much to the server's delight. He was a bit stiff at first, technically on point but not highly engaged. Once we got him talking, especially about the great oyster experiment he lit right up. I was HIGHLY impressed when, being told we were splitting the entree, he had it plated on separate plates in the kitchen, rather than bringing empty plates out like normally done for an appetizer. Overall wonderful experience and great food.
We’ve eaten here many times over the years, but this experience was the worst. Perhaps it was COVID, but it’s not the restaurant that it once was. The shrimp po’ boy (a staple in every place in town) only had 9-10 shrimp on it and the fries were greasy and overcooked. The chicken panzanella looked good, but the chicken was overcooked and dry. It seems like the cook staff may not be the same as pre-COVID and lots of training is needed to elevate their food game. We won’t return here for a while. For those prices, the experience is NOT worth it right now.
Food terrible , waiter was excellent , seemed like owner had an attitude
Dinner was pretty much as expected. Nothing out of the ordinary... good food and drinks. It would have been much better without the formalities required by COVID19. Still miss seeing waitstaff expressions/smiles!
Bourbon and charbroiled oysters... what more can one ask for...
Food was great, server was very friendly (Josh) waited over an hour for food.
The crab claws and broiled otters were incredible. I had the shrimp broil- it was okay.
Always go when we are in NOLA
Had the Gull fish with Caribbean jelly. It was Delicious!
Not a great experience, disappointing first meal while here.
Service was not quite as good as last visit. Menu selection was more limited than previously, possibly due to covid19. Still had a good time though, love the place!
