We expect quite a lot more from a restaurant in New Orleans. Nothing about our meal especially the alligator appetizer was enjoyable. Certainly not up to the standards one would expect from the greatest food cardity in the United States.
The service was pleasant but very slow. Usually when you order a drink in New Orleans it's in your hand in a couple of minutes. They weren't busy, they were just slow.

The hostess at the front was extremely rude to my wife and I. We specifically told her we were a party of two yet she repeatedly attempted to place us for a table for four immediately in front of the kitchen door. I insisted she give us a table for two! When we returned to the reception area she rudely stated “Stand Here!” while she went in search of a table...in less than one minute she amazingly had a table for two available after all! It got worse...I then watched her circulate around the restaurant telling our servers like she was a kindergartener tattling on us! I didn’t catch her name...perhaps she was upset that her glasses were all fogged up from wearing the mask. If she worked for me she would have been fired on the spot!

It was ok. Nothing to rave about. Prob won’t be at the top of the New Orleans todo list.

Great dinner and server was very attentive throughout the meal. We celebrated a birthday and everything went according to plan. Server was kind enough to bring a small birthday treat that was enjoyed.

Food and drinks were awesome. Never had a disappointing experience at a Brennan family restaurant!

We went to a wild turkey bourbon dinner special event. Dinner and bourbon/rye pours were well matched. Great experience.

This place is a tourist trap. Avoid it at all cost. The staff are clueless and slow. The manager also has no idea how to run a restaurant.

Wanted to give it 5 stars but things were just a bit off the night we went. Service was slow. We were seated in the bar area with our younger kids so it wasn’t quite what we hoped for. Food was good, not quite fabulous.

Wonderful food. Service was fantastic. The red fish was amazing. BBQ grits were one of the best in NOLA. Will definitely be back!

Chargrilled oysters are BOMB

Amazing meal from start to finish..enjoyed the hh oysters they were fresh and amazing! Chargrilled oysters were on point!

The experience we had with the hostesses was a little disappointing, however our waitress made up for it. One of the hostesses had a weird “air” about her (Miriam). She gave off the vibe as if she were a “gatekeeper” and “you aren’t getting past me” VS being someone that greets and welcomes the guests. The second hostess walked us to our table and the table she intended was already being sat at.

Our waitress (don’t remember her name) set everything right. As she was pleasant, attentive, and knowledgeable of the menu.

Try the chargrilled oysters!

We had a lovely time the food was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The cocktails we really enjoyable and the view of Bourbon was fun. Inside was extremely cold I know the temperature was near freezing outdoors but there was no warmth.

We had such a great time. Our waiter was wonderful. I urge locals and visitors to experience the Bourbon House and support the restaurant and the staff!

We were seated almost 15 minutes before our waiter even acknowledge that we were sitting at his table. When we brought this to the hostesses attention she looked very flustered and didn’t know what to do, so she did nothing.

It was amazing on every level, service good atmosphere. Will definitely return . Something for everyone!

Great service by Noel and fantastic food. I appreciated the adherence to masks and social distancing. The bread pudding in tandem with the frozen milk bourbon dessert was amazing!

Amazing service and great food! The grilled oysters are a MUST TRY! My husband and I make a point to try the grilled oysters at every restaurant that offers them and these were the best we have had so far!

This was a great experience! We had never heard of this restaurant and decided to try it out. All aspects were great; including the service, the quality of food and the ambiance.

Josh, and the entire staff took great care of us. His attention to our dining needs was exceptional.

We ordered the alligator wings as our appetizer- unfortunately we were not a fan. I’m sure these are a hit with others, but it was too chewy for us. The chicken was delicious, and I gobbled up the carrots and potatoes that came with it. My fiancé ordered blackened red-fish, which was also divine. Because of COVID the service and dining was slow, I expect the waiters are more “on top of their game” when it’s busier. Overall, not bad, definitely worth trying if you want dinner on bourbon street.

The crab knuckles and red fish are wonderful! They have the best Gumbo in New Orleans!

This was my second visit to Bourbon House. The chargrilled oysters don’t disappoint. However the corn and crab soup and gumbo were absolutely disappointing. So bland!! The shrimp and grits was mediocre, the surf and turf special came out cold twice. The only entree that was decent was the redfish. Not sure I’ll return.

The food was 3/5. We had a very nice and accommodating waiter (Kwame) but the kitchen was very slow with god service and the entrees ranged from cold to lukewarm.

As a new resident to New Orleans my family and I wanted to try this restaurant. We were extremely pleased from the time we walked in until we left. The service and food was amazing. Definitely recommend the Bourbon shrimp and grits and the Paper Plane cocktail.

To be honest, the service was poor. Extremely slow, was brought bread basket half way into meal. Ordered some hot tea, one server brought the tea bag, another the hot water - supposedly due to COVID would not leave the hot water container at table - HOT WATER!..... Extremely expensive for poor, poor service. Food was so-so. Go across the street for great food and service.

The food was ok; it isn't something I would rave to my friends about who visit New Orleans. The restaurant is beautiful and the service was nice.

Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly specially Trodell, the manager. We got there later than our reservation and he accommodated us the best way that he could. The food was good and a great experience. I definitely recommend this place.

The service was really good but the food was average. It was pretty expensive for the overall quality of food. Limited options to choose from.

The "redfish on the halfshell" was incredible. Highly recommend it !
