We went to BourbonBar hoping to get some breakfast. Yes, there is bar and bourbon in the name, but given that the restaurant is in the Intercontinental, we were hoping for something decent. We were disappointed. The dated décor and odd furnishing gave way to a lackluster menu. There were very few options, some of which included eggs and bacon for $16. The staff was pleasant enough but I was certainly hoping for better.

The service started really strong with great attention and regular touch points. But then it quickly deteriorated. The waiter was not knowledgeable about any of the bourbons, which is fine, but non of the drinks came as ordered. My old fashion up, came as bourbon neat, then when I asked them to fix it, they brought an old fashion on the rocks, and my husband ordered a whiskey sour, but got something completely and obviously different. Yet the waiter couldn’t tell the difference. Luckily the manager saw it and knew right away that the drinks were wrong. But it took over 30 minutes to get it right. The food was ok, but when I asked for fries with my steak instead of the veggies, they gave me roasted potatoes instead. It was very expensive for what we got.

We definitely should have checked out the menu after covid. The restaurant was empty, the menu was minuscule, and the service was not great. The poor lady had only been there two days and she was wearing a mask and you couldn't hear her nor understand her accent. I do feel bad for restaurants now with all the challenges that they have with supply chains, price increases, and labor issues. This was to celebrate our 22-year anniversary and it was so bad that we literally left and my husband called Ruth's Chris steakhouse to see if they had an opening an amazingly they did probably because it was early at 6:00 so they fit our party of four right in. So I hope this restaurant gets back to the way it was. It's a very pretty restaurant with the art in the ceiling and the gorgeous lamps. And the fried chicken was awesome when we had it before and it's not even on the menu now and that's what they're known for. So I do feel bad for the restaurant but I'm surprised with it being in the intercontinental hotel that they wouldn't be able to have a larger menu selection.

Fine dining. We weren't guests at this beautiful hotel this visit. It's a quiet spot for brunch which is a premium in Atlanta these days. We will certainly be back.

We love this place, and are so happy to see it has reopened! Every time we have gone the food has been exceptional! My boyfriend says the skirt steak ranks #2 on his list of favorite steaks. So id say that’s pretty impressive. If you haven’t tried it, we highly recommend!

My first experience using my Passport book. Went for Sunday brunch. We were the first people there. Only 5 tables the whole time. It took 40 min to get our food. I had to get up once to get my own water from the server station. Ordered the black truffle frittata. It was ok but the egg was overcooked. Gf ordered the chicken and waffles with white pepper gravy. They didn’t put the gravy on. Had to ask for it. They brought out some kind of broth sauce with parsley and other things in it and what appeared to be hot dogs or sausage. When I presented the passport book, the server had no clue what it was. After he spoke with the manager he kept the book. I had to ask for it back. Had I not had the book, 2 entrees and 2 coffees would have been $52 before tip. Absurd. If there is a positive, I liked the decor.

The fried green tomatoes were very cold when they were brought to us, and our waitress was barely around to check on us. The restaurant was completely empty for Sunday brunch so I'm not sure why our waitress took forever with every single thing. Even our coffee was cold. I will highlight the chicken and waffles for being delicious, though.

The restaurant was a short walk from many hotels and MARTA. The bourbon bar was separate from the restaurant, but a great spot to have a finely crafted cocktail before the meal. Plan to go there before your reservation and yes, on weekend a reservation is a must. From starters to dessert, every bite was delicious. We shared the main dish and had two extraordinary salads and the avocado toast with crawfish. What!? We finished off with the red velvet cake. I will definitely go back!

My husband and I had reservations for Valentine’s Day. The menu was ok, but the ambiance seemed off because the tables were too close and it felt that we had to whisper to talk. The service was great with our server, Marcus. It was a nice evening in the lobby enjoying the live band and our suite afterwards though.

I knew about and had no concerns with the fixed menu and $75 pp cost. However, they clearly overbooked and jammed us into a back room despite our very advance reservation. We are on a room service table from the hotel and the server barely spoke at all, I think in English. He rarely came by, knew nothing about their drinks and I had to go to the bartender, and he basically threw our food on the table. Walking though the main restaurant on the way out, it was almost humiliating seeing the nicer seats everyone else had. Food was “ok” and while I knew about the set price, not the 18% gratuity automatically added for a table of 2. HORRIBLE!

The food was excellent. The service was excellent. The decor was amazing. The check in process was easy and efficient. The bar service pre meal was awesome. Only 1 issue and reason it’s a 4. No where on your website or the two times your staff confirmed my reservation did anyone say it was a prefix menu. I chose the restaurant for the menu but was not able to choose some of their most popular dishes.

Excellent food...I dined alone and restaurant was not busy, yet I was seated next to the registers where the waiters kept coming to put in their orders. I thought perhaps they had other reservations, but place was actually less busy when I left. No reason anyone needed to be seated at that table, if restaurant was not packed. Other than that, delicious.

This place was amazing! I was in town for business and needed to find a good place to eat with several of my friends. Southern Art and Bourbon did not disappoint. The set ice was exceptional. I really wish that I could remember our servers name because he went above and beyond to make this a great experience. Everyone’s food was absolutely delicious. A couple of us had the fried chicken meal, a couple others had the shrimp and grits and the others had salmon. It was one of those meals where you know you are full but you can’t stop eating. The setting was really cool, with art on the ceilings and these really amazing blown glass chandeliers. I highly recommend!!

I made a reservation for this location for Saturday, to celebrate a special someone’s birthday, and they did NOT disappoint. I put in the comments that it was his birthday and I could tell that they took the extra time and effort to make sure that we were both satisfied. Upon our arrival, we were seated in the only 2 chairs that looked like a throne fit for a King & Queen. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu, from the food to the drink selections, and everything we ordered was delicious. They even brought out a complimentary creme brûlée that came with a “Happy Birthday” message and a candle. The hostess even went well out of her way to be included on a surprise I planned for my guest, immediately following our dinner. Our whole experience was superior and we will DEFINITELY be back.

I loved our waiter he was the best! The food was mediocre and very expensive - there are so many other places to get excellent food for 70% less - you are definitely paying for the ambiance - the restaurant is very pretty and classy. Need to work on the menu and the food quality. Staff were excellent and very attentive.

The GM and waitstaff treated us very well. We couldn’t have asked for better service and the food was delish. We had the shrimp and grits, fried green tomatoes and frittata. The shrimp and grits were the best of 3. The red velvet cake was also a special treat. We’ll be back!
