Located on First and Main in the heart of downtown Napa and housed in an historic 1880’s building, the Bounty Hunter Wine Bar & Smokin’ BBQ has been voted “Best Wine Bar in Napa Valley” for years running. The old-West themed Wine Bar features an incredible wine list, over 40 wines by the glass with tasting flights, artisan beers, and a full lunch and dinner menu created by Chef Mark Johnston. Energetic bar scene, with a couple small hightop tables, and 1 large hightop for a group. I appreciated the small tables as it allowed us to talk and hear eachother over the din. I had a ceasar salad with pulled beer can chicken on it - but I should've ordered the BBQ which I hear is delicious. The decor here is wonderful, enough to pique interest, wish there was some kind of written history we could've read about it.

This is our favorite place to stop for dinner after winery visits. It’s not fancy - has a welcoming warm ambiance that we appreciate - and great smoked bbq! Their ribs are a treat and their Caesar salad is our favorite accompaniment. Their wine selection is of course extensive - great that I can also buy a bottle of a newly discovered label or variety to take home. Everyone we have met there has been friendly and helpful - all work together to make it a fun experience.

First time eating at the Bounty Hunter. The Reuben is the best I have ever eaten. Truly amazing. The Wedge Salad also excellent. Great wine list and an awesome Mule. Will be eating there more frequently.

The barbecued food all slow cooked and falls off the bone. When it's at full capacity the most level just from the chatter is pretty high. Don't expect to longer long.

Great potential, unfortunately they were very disorganized and food came out at all different times. Appeared as if the wait staff had no experience. They did give us a 20% discount but charged us a 20% gratuity, wish I could recommend this place😩

We went there years ago and loved it. This time not so much. Service was slow. Food was just okay. Nothing on the wine menu was available. The kitchen refrigerators were in the dining room next to the bathroom.

Food was good but the service was so-so. Ordered the Scotch flight from the menu and they substituted 2 of the listed Scotches without saying anything. Had to go to the bar to actually see what I was drinking. And I don't like being seated at an outdoor table without being asked if that's OK when it's chilly/breezy.

Server was great and the table had a propane fire built in, which was nice as the sun went down. The food was good, but we were a bit disappointed in the offerings. The menu is very limited compared to what is offered in Walnut Creek - it is a bbq joint, not a chop house. They were out of Beer Can Chicken and Cade Sauv Blanc. We will definitely go back to WC but probably not the one in Napa.

They were short staffed and instead of them being apologetic they used it as an excuse to leave us waiting for 45 for our drinks, we had to flag the waitress down to order our food, I think I filled the water from a pitcher I found on the hostess stand. Poor management was the problem! Ordered double tall got double short way too strong-undrinkable! You should have taken better care of the situation you created and not stood behind us complaining about it.

Casual spot for dining and drinks. The bar has lots of wine bottles for retail sale and cocktails. They are known for the Beer Can Chicken which is a MUST!!! So juicy and flavorful and the spice rub was so tasty! Good portion sizes on the salads and home made sauces to try with your BBQ.

We went as locals for a girls night out on Friday night. The wait was 45 mins, no problem! We grabbed a drink across the street & waited but never got a text or call when our table was ready. We checked OpenTable & saw plenty of reservations so we made one just in case. We headed back over to be told the Host had gone home at 6:30 on Friday… Once we were sat it took 53 mins to get our drinks. We mentioned this to a server & we’re told they lost our ticket. We watched our sparkling wine flight die in the window for 20mins & had to ask to repour them. Our food arrived before the rest of our tables cocktails came. The chicken sandwich had bones in it. A manager never came over to apologize or speak with us after we spoke up. Its too bad, we had planned our night there & would have ordered more wine & cocktails +dessert. Very disappointing

We were there once and have never returned. To be honest , we did not eat there but shared drinks with mutual friends. What turned us off to this place was the over-priced wine by the glass prices; they were truly over the top!
