Located on First and Main in the heart of downtown Napa and housed in an historic 1880’s building, the Bounty Hunter Wine Bar & Smokin’ BBQ has been voted “Best Wine Bar in Napa Valley” for years running. The old-West themed Wine Bar features an incredible wine list, over 40 wines by the glass with tasting flights, artisan beers, and a full lunch and dinner menu created by Chef Mark Johnston. The Beef brisket, Pulled pork, and our signature Beer can chicken are the best in the West! The Wine Bar is open late on the weekends, which means you’ll have plenty of time to rub elbows with some of Napa’s local winemakers.

Of course, the main reason to come to Bounty Hunter is the wine. Wine connoisseurs will not be disappointed with the variety, as there are over 400 highly allocated wines adorning the shelves for retail purchase or to enjoy while dining with us. Restaurant was hot, only one restroom, food was less than mid. Ribs and cornbread were delicious everything else dry. Only one waitress deserved a tip.

The pulled pork sandwich was awesome! The 3 slider variety of brisket and pulled pork were delicious. The beer can chicken was different and not a favorite! Service was terrific- food was prepared quickly and with attentive staff.

Great service. We arrived early and they were still nice enough to seat us. Ordered our usual BBQ platter and it was delicious as expected. Looks like they shrunk it down a bit and lowered the price a few bucks. Alright by us as we always have a ton to take back to our hotel! Now we had enough left to take back and heat up for breakfast. Brought our own wine but they had a large selection. Will definitely have dinner there again on our next trip.

While the food was excellent, the service was terrible. We ordered second a bottle of wine, which they substituted for a different (worse, younger) vintage. They charged us $40 (~40%) more than the wine we ordered, and did not disclose this to us. I challenged them on the bill and the Manager raised her voice at us and stormed off while we were speaking to her calmly. Completely unprofessional for what was an easy fix for them. They credited us $11 for a 'food error.' A sad end to a fun evening. I've been to the Bounty Hunter dozens of times, but we will not be back given how we were treated.
