We missed the cranberry juice on the mimosa bar and the sign for the different juices Bacon undercooked. Blueberry pancakes were good but have been better. Sourdough bread crust was brick hard. My friends and I are regulars but today was kind of disappointing
Good meal, as always. Service was off from typical experience. Our waitress, nor bartender knew how to make an Aperol Spritz and brought a wine glass filled simply with Aperol & club soda. Ordered glass of wine and after 10+ mins, waitress walked by,realized she hadn’t ordered it, went to terminal to place order, waited for it and brought it over. Seated where we could see the bar.
Poor service - almost like they forgot us. We had to ask a manager for desert menu - different person for wine - food was good though
The food was ok but way too expensive! For the chicken dish to be $24 was ridiculous and the side that came with it was cold. The service was great but the food is no way near worth the price.
They were out of the appetizer we ordered and the restaurant was less than half full. Disappointed in the taste of the salad. My half chicken was really 1/4 chicken. The snapper portion was small and pricy. The wine was good. Sat by the fireplace which was nice on a snowy evening.
The place looked trendy but the food was not great! I ordered the Pecan Smoked Duck. I expected a hint of smoke on the meat but the smoke over powered the dish and lost all of it flavor. My husband got the Lamb Shank an it was very fatty.
This was our first time visiting Boundary, for an evening out to celebrate a friend's birthday. Our party of four was seated by the fireplace, as requested. Especially agreeable on a snowy St. Louis evening!
We thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance, with it's cozy, yet cool vibe. Our server, Nadia, was very attentive and knowledgeable, with spot on recommendations. The food was timely, impressively presented, and absolutely delicious. (the Berkshire Pork Shank is a mouth-watering must-try!) We will certainly return, and highly recommend it to anyone in search of a special outing with exceptional service and atmosphere.
The food was very yummy and the ambiance was great. There were some quirks, such as the restaurant not having any milk alternatives (soy milk, almond milk, etc.) and not having any toast, even as an a la carte side.
The Chicken n’ Waffles was the best I’ve ever had!!
We enjoyed steak tartare, mussels and chicken lollipops for apps, and pork shank, filet and ribeyes for dinner! If I had to pick one thing to say negatively- the caesar sals dressing was not my favorite!
Will def be back!
Ozark Omelet was extremely good with unexpected and very tasty combination of fillings. Yummy pancakes. Good place for get together with friends, very friendly staff, easily accessible.
Boundary is a great atmosphere and we sat by the fire, great seating however, food was marginal. The pork shank was cold and the shrimp chowder was luke warm.
The chicken was good but not worth the money.
This was very expensive for cold food, we won’t be back! The server was attentive.
Always enjoyable although I feel like the lunch menu has been downsized. Didn’t see the Mac n cheese w short ribs and there was no actual Cesar salad on the menu. However they made one when I asked. Unfortunately they added the salmon to their wedge salad and it got a bit messy cutting it up. Also I don’t remember the Cesar dressing being quite so thick. More like a Roquefort and not as appetizing at least to me.
They let the fire when we requested it which we really appreciated the waitress was wonderful the food was amazing we will come back soon
Wonderful New Years Eve dinner for a party of 10. Everyone loved their meal and the ambiance was delightful!
Food was wonderful, service was great....our second time there and would recommend to everyone....will be going again soon
I enjoy Boundary every time I get to introduce one of my friends to this lovely restaurant!
Heard about restaurant from a couple of mutual friends. Saw the pictures and menu decided to give it a try. We had a birthday celebration that we entered on open table. We had to mention the birthday, no desert or cocktail offered.
Food average to below average. Chicken was very salty.
Fish was over cooked (rubbery)
We’re out of 2 wines, grapefruit juice for cocktail and salmon.
We dined the day after Christmas which could be reason for items not being available, but they weren’t overly busy.
Atomosphere was nice and clean.
Delicious special Christmas Eve menu. Staff was very friendly and the ambiance is sophisticated and modern.
Love the location and the ambiance. Would love a few more healthy sides options with the entrees. Service was fine but nothing special. Price is on point for the location and food.
This dinner was a great ending to a long day of meetings. All who were at the dinner, enjoyed the restaurant, the food, service and atmosphere! Thank you!
Loved the winder menu at Boundary! Service and ambience were also stellar.
Pretty great over but the lighting is weird so out of a 6 top, 2 people had over head spotlights directly in their eye
Food was overpriced - quality for the filet Oscar wasn’t good for the Price. The sauce was flavorless - don’t know what it was and it had two shrimp instead of sweet crab meat. Wouldn’t order it again or recommend it. Beet salad was good.
Service was ok. Friendly but slow because of a party.
Fun atmosphere. Will try again sometime.
Wonderful Brunch Spot, great food offerings with a a good twist, terrific Bloody Mary and Mimosa bar, fabulous service and beautiful ambience!!
Make it a trip if you haven’t already!
Our first visit to Boundary was for a birthday brunch. The food, cocktails, and coffee were delicious. Everything was well executed, and the portion sizes were plenty. The service and staff, on the other hand, were only mildly accommodating. Our server was helpful, and took care of our requests, but the experience was missing something. Overall, the place lacked hospitality. When we asked for help from servers who weren’t ours, we were met with a look, not a “how may I help you?” Not being familiar with their Mimosa and Bloody Mary bar, I asked a different server how it worked, and she almost seemed offended as she gave me I condescending tone that I needed to order with my server from the table first, then come up. It was small things like this and needing to ask for salt and pepper, or for a kids cup, that made me feel like I was inconveniencing the staff and not particularly welcome.
the food was OUTSTANDING. Service good. However, restaurant WAY TOO NOISY!!!! We were a party of six at a round table on the side (not in the middle of the restaurant). Was IMPOSSIBLE to have a conversation - really detracted from the restaurant experience.
We had a great time, the only issue was when the place got filled up with smoke from having the flutes from their wood fireplace messed up or something.
Thanksgiving dinner. They tried to squeeze 9 of us at a table for 7 all the way in the back in a little freezing alcove. I let them know that wouldn’t be acceptable. So we waited about 30 minutes more, sat down, and got a plate at the buffet. Next thing you know, they were about to take all the food away so we scrambled to get what we could get.
We are big fans of the Cheshire, but this place never seems to do well, no matter what they call it. I have come to the conclusion that it is definitely a management problem. Who knows what the next name of this place will be, but if they don’t get good management......
Food and atmosphere were very lovely, and a good alternate to our traditional Thanksgiving plans. However, we were extremely surprised to show up for 3 pm reservations amd not get seated until 3:45. Additionally, by the time we were ready for dessert, the dessert table was completely picked over and empty, which was a disappointment.
Although the last reservations were for 4 pm, we were seated 45 minutes late, so expected things to be kept going.
We thought it was in poor taste for the staff to come fill up to go boxes for themselves while people were still dining.
Understand that the staff should get to eat and take home anything, but seems inappropriate while people are still eating and going to the Buffett.
We went for a high priced Thanksgiving Dinner and were assured our late in the day reservations would be no problem. Well, they were out of turkey! We were rushed through our $58 per person meal . They began cleaning up and shutting down the buffet as we were filling our plates for the first time. Highly disappointed.
I think they overbooked. Reservations were made & running 30 minutes behind. It was really packed and no where to sit or stand while you waited for your table. Once seated there were way too many tables for the space. I had to move my chair many times to let people to and from there table. It was also pretty noisy. That being said the food was pretty good. The turkey was delicious as well as the sweet potato casserole. The shrimp and smoked salmon & trout were also great. The desserts were the best! The green beans, cornbread stuffing, and the ravioli not so good. The ravioli tasted like the kind from Kroger and not homemade. The lobster m/c was good just needed some lobster in it. My biggest complaint by far was the lack of room feeling squished like sardines and not relaxing. Thanksgiving dinner should be enjoyable and it was not this year. We stayed 1 hour and spent $305 for 4 people and left disappointed.
Best place for Thanksgiving!
Totally awesome selection of main dishes, sides, and desserts. Top buffet for Thanksgiving in St. Louis.
did not have my favorite drink available, when the web site shows it available. Don't understand running out of top shelf liquor (Red Breast Irish) . Bar manager should pay more attention to inventory for busy days
This was our second Thanksgiving day buffet in a row and it was outstanding! Wonderful variety and very tasty in all aspects - will probably be headed there again next Thanksgiving as well!
The food was OUTSTANDING!!!
We only had one minor problem.....we made a reservation 2 weeks ahead of time and were seated at a small table right in the door way of the dining room. We spoke to the server and we were promptly moved to another table of our choice. 3 additional staff members came to our table and apologized. Great customer service.
This was a great experience and we will be back!
Thanksgiving day! Our third year and keeps getting better every year!
Excellent food, drinks and service! All the staff are helpful and kind. It’s a wonderful atmosphere and a well run restaurant.
The buffett was absolutely wonderful. My family just couldn't say enough of how outstanding and how well the dinner was presented. From the drinks to the actual buffet we just loved it all. Our waitress Emily was so willing to help make our day special, very sweet, and constantly filled our drink glasses, cleaned the dirty plates, she did an excellent job. But I am so glad we made the reservations at the Boundary, The Cheshire Inn, in Clayton, MO. Oh we will be back next year. And best of all Mom (me) did not have to cook finally a beautiful day out for Mom. Will recommend the buffet to our friends. It was all so delicious.
