It’s a Mediterranean Cuisine with a French portion. The food is amazing but the portions are really small.

Boulud Sud was hands down fantastic. The service combined with the quality of food made for an extremely enjoyable dining experience. That couple with the ambience and atmosphere combined to make this restaurant top notch! I would highly recommend!

We returned after not being there since it was DB Bistro... the wine is still very good since they have a great variety, the Middleastern tapas we got did not taste authentic. The lamb chops were excellent, but my filet was microscopic, the desserts were good. The Genera Manager Leah was very attentive and cordial and led us thru the wine tasting. I kinda missed the DB Bistro....we may give a second chance!

We are here because we were staying at the hotel. The food was good and the service was relatively attentive, but it felt like the table next to us received much more attention. The hummus was yummy!

I doubt Daniel Boulud would want to eat at his eponymous restaurant. Four people, eight dishes of which 2 were acceptable and 6 were mediocre to poor. We regularly eat at Cafe Boulud in New York, and occasionally at Daniel's -- this has nothing to do with either in cuisine, ambiance, service BUT, the wine list is good. Unfortunately, other than the wine, there is nothing to recommend this place.

The service was great, the food was light small portions for lunch for not a big eater for me it was perfect. Healthy menu took the time to explain menu to my clients due that they only have English menus would help especially location of Restaurant and clients we would bring down to have a Spanish menu.

Place looked crowded and noisy, but service was great from the door in. Rafael helped us out with great suggestions and the best service ever. Wine selection was perfect, food was superb, snd the dessert was from another planet. All great. Rafael is the best. His knowledge and passion for explaining the background behind each and every wine option and food was simply outstanding.

Our first time at this restaurant was a memorable one. We arrived early and sat down in the bar area to enjoy a glass of wine. The server was friendly and helpful in helping us pick out a wine which was similar to Pinot Grigio as that is our favorite type of wine and was not on the menu. It was delicious and and we felt relaxed as we waited for our table to be ready.

When we sat down for dinner we first ordered appetizers in corn soup and classic Greek salad. The ingredients were so fresh and were a great opener to the meal.

Our entrees were chosen from the "Simply Grilled" and "Pick a Sauce" section of the menu and were Lamb Chop with Tzatziki and Filet Mignon with Romesco Sauce. The lamb chop and filet mignon were both cooked to perfection and seasoned well.

We also ordered a side of Broccoli Rabe which was our least favorite part of the meal. Broccoli Rabe is already bitter and since it was charred it made it taste more bitter. That is our only complaint out of the entire experience; a small one!

We ended our meal with a cup of cappuccino which was freshly brewed and perfect for dessert.

Our server Derek was knowledgeable and friendly as he gave us some tips about things to do in Miami. He came around at the appropriate times to check on us and ask if we needed anything.

We will definitely be returning on one of our next trips to Miami.

Clearly naming a restaurant with the surname of a great chef raises the expectations quite high..maybe that is why they are not really met. Nothing too new under the sun.. good food of course. But.. The atmosphere? Contemporary “riskfree”

Really poor service, non attentive and no understanding of the wine list. Food was really average at best. Shrimp where miniature and over cooked, chicken cous cous was really poor. Over cooked dry chicken served with flavorless cous cous. Tuna, lacked seasoning and served with bland polenta cubes. Chocolate fondant was good as was the coffee. Overall a poor experience for the price and the high ratings on this platform don’t reflect the restaurant actually. Maybe for Miami it’s good but intentionally it’s poor value and badly executed cooking served by friendly but unprofessional staff. I’ve eaten in numerous restaurants by Daniel Boulud, NY, palm beach, and London and this place doesn’t deliver to the same standards. Pity

Does not compare to NYC. Menu is disjointed as it has no theme. Food totally mediocre ( Grouper was over cooked, flatbread not hot, deserts nothing to remember). Service personnel were very nice and competent.

Considering you have to put up with downtown traffic and a terrible front door at JW, think this is a “ one and done.”

We had a wonderful meal with excellent service when we ate here two months ago. This meal was disappointing. We ordered a side of fries and expressly requested that the fries be hot. They came out cold. They did take them back, but by the time the next batch arrived our meal was half over. Our other side of cauliflower was delicious but no serving spoon was provided. It took a while for that to come out. The gluten free bread was not beautifully grilled as it had been on our last visit and the warm complimentary madeleines were only served after I asked about them. Overall, it was not the experience I would expect from a Boulud restaurant. Won’t be rushing to go back.

I had high hopes coming in. Service, ambience as well as the food presentation was phenomenal and surpassed expectations. Unfortunately the taste of the food was subpar. Food notes were very simple, pretty bland and not at all what I would expect from a Boulud owned restaurant. This includes everything from appetizers to entrees to side dishes. The corn soup was the only thing I found to be exceptional.

Informed, yet not intrusive professional service. There was not an item on the menu that didn't sound great which made it hard to choose! Serving sizes reasonable for the price. The grouper and branzzino were really good. Dessert prices seemed a touch high but the coffee and chocolate cube with baklava ice cream was worth sharing. Really nice dining experience. Will absolutly go back!

As a db Moderne fan since it’s Miami inception, I admit I am less enthusiastic with the re-model of the space into Boulud Sud than I had hoped to be. It has the air of the better restaurant in a chain hotel in a provincial city. With that complaint out of the way, the service team at Boulud Sud remains top notch. Their greeting of us as loyal, return patrons is quite special. And the fresh, vibrant Mediterranean menu is delicious. Though I miss the charming Persimmon Room and the crisp white table linens of db Moderne, Boulud Sud is still a fine choice for dining in downtown Miami.

Food and drinks were excellent, but the service lacked a bit which is very unusual for Boulud. This was our first Easter brunch at this restaurant since they changed from DB Bistro. The service in the past years has always been on point so perhaps this was a fluke. We have been to Boulud for dinner a couple of times and have had an excellent dining experience. That said, we really enjoyed our food and feel like maybe the staff was a tad overwhelmed for this event. We’ll be back for Mother’s Day, and look forward to the excellent food and fantastic service of Boulud Sud.

Despite being disappointed when we entered the dining room due to its lackluster decor, unsettling lighting and flooring which appeared grimy (never good to have uncleanliness where food is being served), the food was very good and our waiter was terrific.
