    The first impression is that of disarray. People running all over trying to figure out what to do. Hostesses were not concerned about seating you. The place is very loud and tables somewhat mixed in with a bar scene. The food was average at best, burnt orzo and very small portions. Too much hype for an average place.

    Food & service was great. The only downside was the noise level. It felt as if they couldn’t decide on a restaurant or club vibe. I mean some music is nice but not when it’s so loud during dinner that you can’t carry on a conversation with your table.

    The coq au vin, a French classic, was poor. Overwhelmed with salt, weird congealed gravy, dry, overcooked. Huge disappointment! No garlic taste. I make this dish and was surprised for your restaurant doing such an inferior job with it. It is not hard to do it well. The cocktails, Caesar salad and crab beignets were awesome. My husband liked his duck and my son his steak/ frites. We were on the patio which should have been quieter, but your speakers are too loud!!! Please provide a quieter spot for those who want that. You would get more $ for our table if you would find space to accommodate folks who don’t want to be blasted by poor music.,,,try some nice French singers.., Edith Piaf for one. Add some authenticity

    NOT the place for a quiet dinner. Ck to make sure no hockey game same night. Loved the place but last night was a mistake for us; ON the other hand server Riley was the best we have ever had anywhere.

    Great downtown vibe, but extremely Loud inside. Like most restaurants today, pricey per entree. Unfortunately my Snapper was undersized and over cooked. Everyone else loved what they ordered. I’d go back and try something else.

    Excellent menu and service. Beautiful decor. Worth dressing up for. The open dining area is a bit crowded so expect a lot of energy in the room. Not a place for an intimate/quiet date but rather for a fun night out with delicious cuisine.

    We had the Burger and Mussels and frites, mussels were average at best lacked salt and flavor, the burger although good was not at all what was expected, the sauce was a glorified big mac sauce. And there you go.

    Went to Boulon for a birthday dinner last night 11/27 my partner & I both ordered the hanger medium well it came out almost raw had to send it back when it was brought back only the middle was cooked the sides weren’t edible for us. Barely ended up touching our dinner , dessert was good but other than that nothing crazy to write home about . I wouldn’t go back

    Overall, it was an excellent experience. The only reason I did not give 5 stars for the food, was that my wife's filet mignon, was tough, and was not very tasty. Aside from that, it was a great night. The table was in a great spot, our waiter was professional and attentive, and my food was fantastic. We have dined at Boulon in the past and we look forward to another dinner there in the future.

    Quite outstanding service which made our dining experience exceptional ! Delicious French onion soup.. lobster bisque was hearty and very rich. Crab beignets were tasty. Shrimp dish was not as expected. Super delicious desserts…. Best bread pudding we ever tasted. Crème brûlée is a must. Am glad to have a French restaurant nearby in such a great area.

    We sat outside, and the ambience was quite nice. A little noisy from traffic, but otherwise fabulous. The staff is excellent and the food is amazing. You may think it’s a little pricey, but I guarantee it is worth every penny. You’re celebrating a special occasion this restaurant should be at the top of your shortlist!

    We went for dinner. Atmosphere and service was enjoyable accept the food. The food was not memorable, some of the food had too much salt and others lacked flavor. For the prices we expected more flavor and food we could rave about to friend and family. We have been to pricier restaurants where the food was amazing and we would return multiple times, but this definitely will not be one we return. Considering the location and surrounding restaurants the food was underwhelming. We would not come back or recommend the food.

    I want to love Boulon. I love French cooking and was so excited to see this place open up. But we’ve been two times and the food is so bland. There’s so much opportunity to improve - for example, the Moules Frites could have some kind of flavourful broth and be served with a baguette (refer to DC’s Bistro du Coin for broth ideas). The NOLA shrimp had an excellent brown butter roux but desperately needed some cayenne to bring it up to New Orleans French. The blue crab beignets were lemony and delicious but would love to see the fluffiness of a beignet. The bakery is on point - has amazing croissants and other baked goods. The service is great. The wine and cocktail list is great. The tables inside are a little tight, emulating a brasserie I’m assuming. We preferred eating outside with a little more room. Go and enjoy. I just hope they step up the flavor.

    The food and ambiance was excellent. Very young, hip vibe. It was extremely loud making it a bit difficult to have a conversation across the 6 top table as you could only talk to the person next to you. We were running late for an event and the food came out promptly to get us out of there. Overall, it was great. The French onion soup was delicious!

    It was. Busy night be wise of the tree lighting and winter activities on Water St, but that didn’t diminish the quality of the experience in service at Bulan. We usually come in Belen for brunch after church on Sundays but we decided to make a reservation for today so that we could be in the area for some of the activities happening. I finally got to try their famous burger and it was DELICIOUS. This burger is what a big Mac wishes it was. Afterwords we had desserts = butter cake with ice cream. Our server was incredible- like every other server at Boulon and the food was delectable. We can’t wait to be back.

    We had a great experience at Boulon. I would definitely go back. Since it was a special occasion, I appreciated the complimentary champagne and dessert.     Best meal and experience I’ve had in months. Definitely get the French onion soup, crab beignets and the banana bread pudding. Service was 10/10. Went there for brunch and they had live music. Ambiance was perfect. Highly recommend.

    It was a beautiful, ambience. Food was exceptional. Honestly, the best part was our server, hands-down the best server I have ever had he was so knowledgeable on every aspect of our meal.

    The food was delicious and ambience was nice with live acoustic music, but our meal left on a sour note with the service starting mediocre and ending with taking 30 minutes trying to split a check 3 different times. The first time just being one check- I wrote on the check how we wanted it to be split while also verbally explaining it. Still split it wrong. Then my husband had to walk with him the the register to point out what was split to get it right. His attitude of “you’re annoying me” was seeping off of him which didn’t make it any better.
