First time back at this beloved spot after "pandy", and it was just as amazing as I remember. I threw them a curve ball when a last minute guest made us a party of 5, but the bar team and hostess really worked some magic. Every bite of food was fantastic (bone marrow, steak frite, scallops and duck confit gnocchi!!) And the wine list is still one of the best in Dallas. Can't wait to come back again and again and again...
Wonderful Anniversary spot.
Delicious food and great service. Will definitely be back.
I’m sorry to say my scallops weren’t fresh and the saffron risotto wasn’t edible. My friends had a wonderful fish.
Every single thing we ordered from the cocktails to the food was delicious. Especially loved the bone marrow and coq au vin.
Service was great. Thanks for the Chablis suggestion. It was wonderful.
From the food, to the service, to the ambience, to the personability of the servers, I would return to Boulevardier over and over again
Ate there for the first time recently after hearing such amazing things. Aesthetically the place is very nice. Great ambiance. Nice outdoor seating area. The food, however, was a bit disappointing. The crawfish beignets and beef tartare fell flat on flavor. The bone marrow was great especially the fresh garlic and aioli topping. The duck gnocchi was a huge disappointment. The gnocchi were over cooked and too dense and the duck was overwhelmed by the sauce such that you couldn’t tell there was duck or any protein in the dish. My two guests had steak and both were extremely over cooked and they were ordered rare and medium rare. A true French restaurant would have basically walked the rare ordered steak past the grill and called it done. All in all I would not go back again which is a shame because there are so few French restaurants in town. Maybe stick to basic French dishes like duck confit and focus more on execution rather than trying to be overly creative with how many items go into one dish.
Love this place. I broughts guests from out of town and they loved it too. My only complaint was I ordered the truffle eggs however they did not have any truffle flavor to them. The egg portion was small and a tad overcooked (for soft eggs). Everyone else was 100% satisfied! Will be going back!
I had the legs and eggs. Duck was far too salty. Corn cakes that came with it were room temperature.
Service was very poor. We’d get ignored with empty glasses for 15 minutes.
Place was about ten degrees too cold.
First time I’d been in five years. It used to be good. I won’t be back.
Everything about Boulevardier lived up to its reputation. All of our food was tasty in the French ways - yummy surprises all around the plate. A fabulous experience. It can, however, be difficult to find if you do not know the area. It is addressed at 408 N. Bishop Avenue, but is not on N. Bishop Avenue at all, but around the corner on 8th street. It is strange that the address is so incorrect and could lead one to fail to ever find it without local guidance.
Another great experience. It is always consistent, always delicious, and just an overall great experience. The service is excellent. It’s not pretentious. Boulevardier is easily my favorite restaurant in Dallas.
Amazing food and excellent service!! We were group of 18 odd people and they didnt complain at all. They made sure we have a good time!
Steak was too salty
Always great service and food. Recommendations from wine expert and server were top notch.
Fresh seafood, great steak, great service, great ambiance. Can’t complain.
Good food. Pork chop is A+. Located in Bishop Arts District which is so vibrant.
The food is pricey but good. Excellent service. Goos experience!
Fantastic as usual!
Birthday, wait person was FABULOUS (Christine), food excellent, great restaurant.
It was a busy Mother's Day evening, so that may have been a factor. We have eaten here before and had a better experience. Waitress was very friendly and accommodating but service overall was very slow. Comments on the food would include:
Charcuterie "Big Board" was good, but not Big.
Grilled Octopus included a very small portion of octopus and was overcooked.
Mussels were tiny and overcooked.
Coq Au Vin Blanc was dry and overcooked.
Hamburger was excellent.
Overall, food seemed overpriced and not a good value. Big disappointment.
We love this place. Missed it last year (COVID), so glad they re-opened. Went for Mother's Day brunch. Reasonably priced wine list (we had a bottle of champagne). Attentive service. We had: brioche french toast, hash, croque madam, french onion soup. All were very very good. The only ding was the eggs on the hash were very watery when broken, so it made for a very soupy hash. HOWEVER, when pointed out to the server he was quite concerned (we did not expect any compensation/freebie we don't roll that way) he took it totally off the bill. That was unexpected and a reason we will always recommend Boulevardier and will return frequently. Their food is locally sourced when possible; fresh; and they are quality-focused. Parking lot right next door, sometimes they do valet, which is nice given the popularity of the area, very tight driving and parking.
The food and wine were terrific, our waiter was great. Looking forward to returning.
We came to Boulivardier for date night - sat at one of the pub tables in the bar area and had outstanding service and great food. The reason we come is for the fantastic craft cocktails that have and the great food. We had a dozed oysters and the tartar a salad and split the duck confit gnocchi - the dinner was fantastic. I’m partial to the way they make the vodka gimlet - my bride had the French seventy five and a love gun - one of their blackboard specialty craft concoctions. We try to get there every 6 weeks or so - it’s a great place!
Excellent place! Absolutely LOVED the food! I can’t wait to go back sometime
I have been hearing about this restaurant for years and have been looking forward to the experience. We chose a brunch since there were four of us. I understand that we are still dealing with Covid protocols and it makes things not as comfortable for everyone but all the more reason to try and up your game. The food was horrible to average at best. I do not like writing reviews like this, in most cases I will just not say anything at all, but this was truly disappointing. The server clearly would have rather us not been there at all and other than rushing us to place our order, our food was served not fully prepared and we were rushed through. The entire experience was poor.
There for Sunday brunch, it was the highlight of our three day dining excursion. Don't let the smallish menu fool you, everything is spot on and perfectly executed. The staff are engaging but efficient, so glad we decided on this place. Can't wait to come back for dinner!
Fantastic food, wine, and service. Glad to have some concerts booked down the street at the Kessler. We love driving from Fort Worth for dinner and a show!
We had a lovely date night by the front windows on the high top tables. Service was great .
Food was absolutely incredible! Personable service. Fantastic food. I highly recommend spending brunch here, and the dinner menu will blow you away! Wine list French oriented; with lots fo wonderful domestic options 🍇🍷😄.
It was a lovely place for brunch. Service was excellent!
Food was phenomenal! Small space, but perfect for more intimate nights and conversations
Great place. One of " go to" eating establishments and locally owned.
Everything was absolutely delicious! Loved the selections of wine and cocktails.
We had a nice evening for my birthday. Friendly service, delicious food and not rushed.
Service was excellent and the food was perfect. We will be back.
Seated and ordered immediately . Service was fair but we waited 45 min for our order.
My experience at Boulevardier was nothing short of excellent. The food was phenomenal, from the starters to dessert. The service was second to none. Kristen was our server. She made sure we had fresh wine glasses after each bottle, which is seen less and less in restaurants that serve wine. The presentation was not just pretty, but in the typical French tradition; it was also about evoking the desire to eat it. Make no mistake; Boulevardier is high-end. I would also like to see more Old World wines on the wine list. But if dining is as much about the experience as the act of sating appetites, then Boulevardier has definitely developed the right formula.
Jay? the manager started us out with a complimentary glass of bubbly as we moved from a larger booth as people were moved outside from the rain....not necessary but appreciated! We therefore got off to a very good start, and our table was ready as promised at 8:00. The steak Tartare' was the BEST I have ever had. Scallops were good, and my Chicken was wonderful....desserts were both wonderful, being a chocolate mousse of sorts, and a delightful, traditional creme brûlée . Kristen sp? provided Excellent service throughout dinner...My Cab by the glass was quite good also! We look forward to coming back!
