Boulevardier is always a go to restaurant in the Bishop Arts District. The food is amazing - the legs and eggs was the perfect choice for my Sunday Brunch and my sons Croque Madame with decadent fries did not disappoint. Oh and those oysters! Cannot wait to return
Second time around, not as exciting as first visit. Service was great.
Octopus app was droned in onions and vinegar. Oyster app was super.
Lamb was perfect, Bolognesa was heavy with cheese
Manhattan's were fair. Wine selection by the glass is limited.
We had a great time visiting with Jay.
Highly recommend this place
Authentic French Bistro food and excellent oysters and mussels. Please bring back your great escargot! Also, get your own valet.
Great food .. Yesterday service was a little slow over 35 minutes to get our food but it was good
The chicken paillard was very dry.
She was so sweet, can’t remember her name, but she made good food recommendations. Oysters are fantastic! And brought a cute candle for my friend.
Great cocktails, nice fresh oyster selection, superb wine list, always great food and fantastic service.
WE LIVE IN PLANO AND IT TAKES US AN HOUR SOMETIMES LONGER WITH TRAFFIC. THE FOOD AND SERVICE ARE WORTH THE TRAVEL. THE RACK OF LAMB IS EXCEPTIONAL!
Our waitress was outstanding. The pork chop was delicious and my husband thoroughly enjoyed the burger. Fantastic experience!
Great bistro ambience with excellent craft cocktails, wonderful oyster bar, excellent wine selections and food and service as good as any in Dallas. Brunch menu is exceptional.
Boulevardier is my favorite restaurant in Dallas. The oysters are always changing but always good; so good that it's hard to order anything else, but every time I do, I'm happy with the result. I've never been disappointed in anything that I order here. Also, although I don't go to Boulevardier nearly as often as I'd like to, they usually remember me, which is really nice. We recently celebrated the 80th birthday of a family member at Boulevardier, and we all agreed we couldn't have chosen a better place for the birthday celebration.
My husband and I have been here many times. We typically love it here but today our server did not do a good job. He was nice and did check on us a total of 3 times while other tables he was very engaged. We didn't even do desert because he took so long. The food was good but it's just service wasn't. The girl in the front is nice as stated from previous reviewer however very unprofessional. I agree her nose ring and her blouse was a bit much, she might as well just had only a bra on with a small skirt. I saw a lot of men walk in and women they are with looking uncomfortable.
Good food and excellent service. The place to go in Dallas for raw bar.
Very charming place! I'm so glad I found it. Incredible great brunch menu, fantastic cocktails, and great desserts! What's not to love about Boulevardier?!
We were very much anticipating our evening at Boulevardier, as we were celebrating our 23rd year anniversary with some close friends who were celebrating theirs as well. We arrived early for our dinner reservations, and were promptly seated. The Maitre’d was very friendly and personable; he quickly escorted us to our table. For starters, we had some of their classic cocktails which were well executed. For appetizers, we had the Foie Gras, and the crawfish beignets. The Crawfish Beignets were delicious; good amount of fresh tasting crawfish, flavor was well balanced, and the beignets had just the right amount of crispness, and not doughy at all. The Foie Gras, was not my favorite; it was seared (I feel that maybe a bit too much) so it shrunk to a teeny sized portion, and tasted a little too liquid for my preference; it was not the silky mousse-y, melt in your mouth moment you typically experience with foie gras. French onion soup was good, nice and hearty cheese portion nicely broiled. All the main entrees were excellent; we had the special which was prime rib, we had the rack of lamb, and the scallops. All were well executed, with side dishes that complemented the main course perfectly. Meat was cooked to an on-point medium rare. Vast wine list, where we had a delicious Rhone wine that paired excellent with our dishes. Bread Pudding and Creme Brûlée were delicious as well. As far as ambience, it was great, good energy, with what seems like lots of patrons enjoying good food and good wine. My disappointment though was in the fact that, although the service was great, they did not acknowledge our anniversary, which we specified in our reservation. Just a simple Happy Anniversary written with raspberry coulis on the dessert would of sealed the evening as a special, memorable moment, so I was sad about that. So if you are celebrating a special occasion they might need to be reminded; don’t just rely on mentioning it on your reservation.
The service was impeccable. We took forever to decide what we wanted to eat and the server let us take our time and make a decision. After we ordered and we had our first course, a four top sat next to us and they were cologned up! We couldn't handle the smell, because it interacted with our wine and food. My husband asked the sommelier if we could move tables and the staff was absolutely accommodating and we were at a different table instantly. The food was amazing, every wine on their list will make you happy, no matter what price point. If you want to spoil yourself, go to Boulevardier!
Service was lacking and price point for food was too high. Won’t be back.
Great location. Outstanding Bar. Excellent food. Affordable wine. Professional service. Perfect
Great food & service! Had French onion soup, crawfish beignets, scallops, gnocchi with duck and creme brulee for dessert. All excellent. Great service too! Must go!
Tiffany is the best bartender. Great food. Great drinks. Great times.
Excellent food every time. Excellent wine selection and the best dinner cocktails in town.
Excellent Texas Wagyu Beef Tartare, Heritage Berkshire Pork Chop (the best chop in Dallas), Wild Board Ragout Pappardelle followed by Dallas BEST Bread pudding with cappuccinos. Dine early if you prefer quiet (we do), it was 85dB at 8:22 PM and I could not hear my wife across the table. America, we have a problem with volume level in restaurants.
The scallops were really good - seared very nicely. Service was very good. The restaurant was very accommodating on a guest with food allergies.
Waitress was outstanding. Knowledgeable and helpful. Food was delicious and excellent presentation. Good selection of French wines as well. Really a very very nice evening!
Ate here for Sunday brunch, would have been 5 stars except they were out of the shrimp & grits (even though it seemed like a quiet weekend due to spring break)... everything else was amazing as always!
I was disappointed with this restaurant. When I booked a French bistro, I was expecting a certain type of ambiance and decorum that is not at all what was seen. When I first walked in, I was met by a young woman, though very polite and cordial, was dressed in very casual jeans and a rather prominent nose ring that, in my opinion, was very inappropriate. The restaurant itself seemed nice, but the other employees were dressed-down to below even casual attire. The bartender, leading a very well-stocked bar, was dressed in a dirty black t-shirt and wearing a backwards ball cap. The other servers had ripped jeans, un-tucked shirts, and soiled white aprons. The (apparent) manager walked around with an obviously stained blue dress shirt. The physical location was very attractive, but the staff's appearance made it seem more like a grungy Seattle coffee house full of broke college students. That alone, put me off.
The food was decent, however my Shrimp and Grits was drowned in sauce, and clumpy.
In all honestly, I truly doubt I will go back or recommend it to anyone. Severely disappointed.
We’re regulars. Usually very prompt but tonight we were late seating. Management made up for delay with Beniets. Fantastic and worth the wait.
Boulevardier is our go to in Dallas for a consistently delicious and enjoyable dinner. Waitstaff is great. Atmosphere is low key, inviting, and intimate. Oysters and charcuterie are our favorites every time. We will definitely keep Boulevardier at the top of our favorites list.
This was a slow night for the restaurant and it was great. Wild Boar papardella was amazing. Also had crawfish beignets....nice but needed a bit more sauce that was less bitter. Disappointed that bouillabaisse was taken off menu, but the wild boar made up for it. Will be back
Wonderful French food at a fair price.
My second trip here, i had friends visiting and thought this was a perfect combination of "cool" area and great food. We got great service and great food. I'm very bummed that they have taken the bouillabaisse off the menu :-(
Overall great place and definitely worth a try.
I was unimpressed that we had to wait for a table after booking a reservation. The brunch menu was not very large and did not offer a lot of variety. The food was really slow to arrive. The mimosa's were flat and tasted like they were made with wine and not champagne. I sent my mimosa back and was still charged for it. We paid the charge because we were in a hurry to leave (after dining for over an hour and half) and did not want to wait any longer for our server to correct the mistake. I would not return, the food was also really overpriced.
The brunch choices are spectacular. Great portions, great value.
Love the food and the service. It’s a little noisy and pricy but we know that before going so, overall it’s a fantastic spot!
We went to Boulevardier for my wife's birthday celebration with some friends. It is pricey, but that is to be expected based on the food and level of service that they provide. We've been there twice now and these are some of the items that top the list:
Grilled Oysters and Raw Oysters (different selection depending on the night you go)
Seared Scallops and Brussel Sprouts dish
Wild Boar Ragu Pappardelle
Boulevardier is the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion.
food was fantastic and the service was great!! a great spot for date night
We celebrated our 20th anniversary there this week. The staff was SO friendly and had multiple people congratulate us on our big day. The Wagyu steak was AWESOME as was my husband's rib-eye. Bonus...we went on a Tuesday night which is apparently half-price steak night! No worries, though, we made up the $$ difference in wine. :) The bread pudding dessert was fantastic. We'll definitely be back!
A reliable and innovative restaurant. Great dining experiences for Dinner and Brunch occasions.
Our dinner was made especially memorable by the outstanding wine selections. We chose the Emeritus Pinot Noir and it did not disappoint. Two bottles!
The Papardelle, Bouillabaisse, Gnocchi and Pork Chop dishes were nothing short of spectacular.
If one is really fortunate, you will be well served by Kristen. She was a gracious delight.
Duck confit gnocchi was overly seasoned
Pasta dish for daughter very undercooked
Yes, I really did enjoy Boulevardier. We arrived at 8 on Friday night and the restaurant was fairly busy (a good thing). We should have arrived by 6:30, as bottles of wine were half off. Started the meal with the grilled baby octopus, which was great. Really enjoyed it. For entrees, we had the Wagyu Steak and the Chicken. Both were very good, but would try something else on our next visit. Finished the meal with the creme brulee, which was amazing. Wines were fantastic. Great overall experience.
