Boulevard Seafood Company is open every day of the year, except Christmas Day.
Great food but I think they've priced themselves out of the neightborhood. There just isnt enough finesse to justify paying $50 a person. It's a solid neighborhood spot but priced like a michelin star restaurant. I've been 4 times since it became Boulevard after being Henry's. Tonight it was dead, while, almost every other restaurant on Broadway was at least 3/4 full. Here, 2 crabcakes cost $36. I could have a bowl of some of the world's best pasta at Marea and a drink for the same price. Overall good, if you're not paying.
Outstanding service matched only by the fabulous food.
My new spot. Love the atmosphere and the happy hour is EXCEPTIONAL.
Great place for good food and conversation
A nice place- the former Henry’s. Service was a bit slow- lots of busboys but a shortage of waiters/waitresses. The ceviche appetizer- a special that night, was excellent. My snapper was a bit over cooked, as was were my companion’s scallops. Prices are a bit high for this neighborhood. A nice try, but needs to do better.
I realize the UWS is a culinary wasteland, and lots of ambitious restaurants fail. So they will have to deliver an excellent product to succeed here.
Food exceptional. Service deplorable. 3 entrees delivered. 4th delivered a half hour later. At least dessert drinks were comped.
The food and presentation are both very good, at reasonable prices. Our server lacked experience.
The quiet atmosphere for table/space layout kept from when the restaurant was Henry's is very welcome and conducive to both conversation and business lunch meetings. Thanks for preserving this.
Soft shell crab and fish and chips - both superb!
One of the few places where noise level is conducive to civilized dining and unforced conversation. The menu is varied, the service is good, prices are reasonable.
It’s really beautiful place food was terrfic and staff was super friendly, I am looking forward to returning.
Excellent staff from when you walk in to the severs and all of their associates.
Pleasantly surprised that we had not discovered this sooner. We had oysters, tuna poke, fish and chips and seafood tacos. All excellent.
After a shaky start, this place has found its legs. The menu is extensive, and they can deliver on it. Quite high quality food, though not exquisite, of course. The wine list is pretty good. The only problem is too many unprofessional servers.
Great food. Excellent service. Reasonable prices. But best of all, this upscale neighborhood bistro has taken care not to overstuff it's attractive space with too many tables. Unlike most other NYC restaurants, you can actually have a conversation without having to talk over everyone else. Perfect for a business meeting.
The food is fresh and delicious. We've never had a bad meal here. The mussels, the calamari, the fabulous seafood salad... It's all wonderful. It's a great place for an unforgettable meal.
mix-up with our reservation when the restaurant was NOT busy; the creme brulee was rather grainy. food was fine.
the servers are truly exceptional. they remember the allergies of my grandchildren. and they take such good care of us. I a truly grateful for them!
Following Henry's tradition, Boulevard Seafood did not disappoint; in fact, we have consistently been in love with this place. The almond-crusted halibut was perfect: moist and crunchy; soft-shell crab was also excellent and the cservice was friendly and prompt. We got to sit outside on a beautiful spring evening, with fabulous NY light as the sun set. In fact, it was so 'right' we all decided on dessert, just to keep it going a bit longer. Banana-chocolate bread pudding! Yum.
We used to go here all the time when it was Henry's until the food and service started to go downhill. Have been very happy so far with the reopening as Boulevard Seafood - but mostly for the oyster/clam happy hour at the bar! We went for brunch on Sunday and it was disappointing. Our waitress was very good but had too many tables to do on her own so it was slow. And the table was totally bare....we had to ask for salt and pepper- even had to ask for butter with the toast. Toast is no longer included with omelettes and even though I asked for my salad dressing on the side - the salad itself was soggy. And for those prices I am not sure we would do this again
While I'd recommend Boulevard Seafood for its food, the noise level made it difficult to have a conversation. Also, it was very busy on Saturday night, and a manager had to pitch in when our server disappeared.
An excellent offering in the neighborhood. Boulevard is every bit as satisfying as it's previous incarnation.
great food, a knowledgeable waiter. The wait was a bit longer for our main, but perhaps because of special request that was fully adhered to. The soft shell crabs were the best.
The coffee is consistently terrible, not drinkable. Awful stuff.
The waiter service is poor. They take your order and you will may see them again. Badly managed.
You need to special order bread for the table, or you will not get bread.
The food is very good. I go there for the atmosphere. The tables are far apart, which is desirable if you do not want to share your conversation with strangers.
Mussels weren't really fresh and the service was goofy. It's not inexpensive, either.
We all loved Henry's and were sad to see it close. But what has replaced it is even better! A little pricier but the food is wonderful, the service very attentive and the tables are spaced so far apart that I wondered why they didn't have dancing too. That much room. What a refreshing change from the crowded, noisy restaurants in the neighborhood. Great for a special occasion, dinner with someone you actually want to talk to, with a well balanced menu. Loved it!
We very much like Boulevard Seafood NY for it's creative menu, ambiance, friendly wait staff. We've
felt we enjoyed ourselves with every visit.
I dine regularly at Boulevard Seafood. My most recent meal there was delightful. The food was very good and the service equally satisfying. The restaurant's decor is also exceptionally handsome and adds to my enjoyment each time I visit.
I have liked this restaurant for some time, particularly when it was called Henry's. This visit was disappointing as my mussels were in a thin, watery curry-flavored broth that wasn't very good, and my husband's rack of lamb wasn't very good, either. Our friend enjoyed the lemon sole. The almond cake dessert didn't hit our spot, either. The service was very good and the ambience is always appealing and welcoming.
Another fair to midland uws restaurant. But glad to have a fish house in the neighborhood.
UGH! It.....was....uh-mazing. Thank you for making our wedding anniversary a memorable one.
Delicious seafood, great waitstaff, really nice room. Have been going to this restaurant for twenty years. They changed name and concept to seafood under the Boulevard banner and unlike this menu better than what was Henry’s. Highly recommend this restaurant, will be back again soon...
I've been to Boulevard Seafood NY many times. I dine there regularly with a close friend who lives in the neighborhood. We were both very pleased with our most recent meal. I've always enjoyed the food I've ordered, but on a few occasions my friend has been disappointed with her entree. This time she was delighted and we both thoroughly enjoyed our evening. We particularly appreciate the ambiance, both the handsome decor and the interesting crowd that dines at Boulevard.
We had such a great dual birthday dinner celebration. The food was delicious and the service, especially the hostess made the night extra special.... she topped it off with a lovely glass of bubbly for each of us on the house. It felt like home away from home. We can't wait for our next dinner at Boulevard Seafood Co. Thanks :-)
Charming restaurant with excellent service and atmosphere. The restaurant manager came by our table regularly to ask how the food was and if we needed anything. The food is very good and the wine by the bottle is reasonably priced. We’ll definitely go back.
Need to salt fish or put salt on table don’t be cheap with tartar sauce make wine glasses larger, don’t put extra dining tables on top of customers.
I thought the food was just ok. Not terrible, but I won't go back unless someone really wants to go there. In fairness, I felt the same way about Henry's. People loved it, but I never had a good meal there.
Pretty forgetful table server. Inexperienced, so forgiven.
Second visit to Boulevard is better than the first. So great to have a neighborhood (for me) spot that has every indication of lasting. The scallop appetizer was delicious - two perfectly cooked sea scallops enveloped in a very tasty melange of lentils, apple smoked bacon and a celeriac froth. Duck spring rolls are my go to forever.
Mains - swordfish and arctic char. I ordered medium and will adjust to medium rare next time. Mashed potatoes with arctic char were creamy and comforting.
Wine selection is excellent. no room for dessert, but maybe next time.
This is a great addition to Upper West Side dining options, perfect for a weekend brunch,
happy hour oysters and cocktails, lunch or dinner. Casual and excellent. A new neighborhood go-to.
This is a neighborhood gem, friendly, reasonably priced, sound level moderate because Upper West Siders like to talk to each other over the table, featuring delicious fresh seafood (though the menu says carnivores have some choices too). I liked its predecessor, Henry's, but I'm coming to cherish Boulevard Seafood.
