Since its opening in 1993, Boulevard restaurant has been hailed as one of the best restaurants in San Francisco. Created in partnership with designer Pat Kuleto, the elegant, yet warm and welcoming interior of Boulevard is the essence of the Belle Époque style. It is a glorious setting for Chef Nancy Oakes hearty, flavorful, beautiful cuisine. American regional flavors, French influenced style, enthralling design, form the entire experience at Boulevard. Located in the heart of the San Francisco's revived waterfront area, the historic Audiffred Building is the ideal home for Boulevard. Among many wards received, Boulevard was proud to announce being granted the James Beard Award for Outstanding Restaurant 2012.

We were placed in a terrible location near the door! Food wasn't that great for the dollar value. Not coming back again.

We went to Boulevard for my son's birthday and it was a great evening. I really like the food here. The quail was nice and juicy with a lot of flavor. The lamb was also done exactly right, medium well without being dry like most places. Our table had a nice view of the Embarcadero so that adds to the dining experience. Just an excellent place to dine and unwind. I also love the Parisian touch on the interior decor.

Food and ambience both very good; comfortable, lively, great kitchen flavors, and a bit pricy (although wine prices were very reasonable). Very nice bartender. We had two glasses of champagne and he opened a fresh bottle because the other had been opened for some time; noted and appreciated. The wait staff was good and she did a very good job pacing our dinner and wine selections. Big surprise occurred when both our plates arrived near cold which we quickly told our waitress. The problem was corrected with fresh - not rewarmed - dinner choices in a very reasonable amount of time. In my judgement this would be a major "mistake" particular for a Michelin Restaurant but one we were able to overlook considering how quickly and properly it was corrected. Problems happen, it's what they do about them that matter. Issue reasonably settled.
The food quality and tastes definitely stood up to the prices so no disappointment there. Would highly recommend for a special occasion and an excellent San Francisco dining experience.

One of our favorite San Francisco restaurants! Great food and service and love the layout of the restaurant where the tables are not side by side along the wall.

Good food and service but not up to expectations, especially as regards to value. Four diners, 4 appetizers, three entrees, two beers. That’s it. $310, including tip. I’m a New Yorker, so it’s not as if I’m not used to top notch, pricey places. I simply wouldn’t return to Boulevard.

Boulevard is one of those old SF restaurants you can count on for: great food, impeccable service, nice ambiance and wonderful location. Menu may not be the most creative I've seen, but always find several choices I want to eat and it is always done perfectly. Never disappoints!

Although we were one of the first guests to arrive, we were seated at table #6 which faced the interior of the restaurant. We felt we were "on view" without a view.
The service and food were excellent, but the noise level was extremely high. It may have been because of where we were seated. It was a Special Occasion but didn't turn out special at all because of the clanking of dishes as they were removed.

After a few memorable decades, Boulevard still has that magic for special occasions, even at lunch. Service was terrific and the food memorable.
