Private parties in L'Avenue evoke the same award-winning dining experience as Boulevard itself. The private dining room menus change continually with the seasons in order to bring you the freshest and most interesting food possible. The rooms exhibit all of the Belle Époque charm of Boulevard.View Private Dining Details
Good food and service but not up to expectations, especially as regards to value. Four diners, 4 appetizers, three entrees, two beers. That’s it. $310, including tip. I’m a New Yorker, so it’s not as if I’m not used to top notch, pricey places. I simply wouldn’t return to Boulevard.
Boulevard is one of those old SF restaurants you can count on for: great food, impeccable service, nice ambiance and wonderful location. Menu may not be the most creative I've seen, but always find several choices I want to eat and it is always done perfectly. Never disappoints!
I love this restaurant for business and dining pleasure
Although we were one of the first guests to arrive, we were seated at table #6 which faced the interior of the restaurant. We felt we were "on view" without a view.
The service and food were excellent, but the noise level was extremely high. It may have been because of where we were seated. It was a Special Occasion but didn't turn out special at all because of the clanking of dishes as they were removed.
After a few memorable decades, Boulevard still has that magic for special occasions, even at lunch. Service was terrific and the food memorable.
Great Birthday celebration venue
Excellent attention & explanation of specials
Drinks & water within minutes
Food perfect, as always
Wow! Great food and service. Extremely well run, able to maintain very high quality despite being large. Recommend it highly.
Have been to this restaurant on numerous occasions, I usually try and eat here when I’m in town. However, this time I was disappointed for the first time. The server was very slow, I ran out of water but was asked if I wanted more wine! The food was excellent but the service was mediocre. I had fun watching the pastry woman sneak bites as she packed the deserts.
Boulevard never disappoints. We have followed Nancy Oaks from L'Avenue to it's now infamous current location. Each dish is carefully designed to hi-light and enhance it's central taste. Beautifully prepared and accompanied, the diner can sit back and enjoy the ambiance, feeling a part of something lovely. We feel welcomed and included in the experience. Servers are gracious, informed and offer just enough assistance in choices - as you wish.
Thank you for asking.
We are big fans, and our birthday dinner at the counter was just right.
Excellent time and food. Our table was perfect, located near the window with a perfect
view of the walkway and Bay Bridge. This is a wonderful place to enjoy your time.
Family celebration was wonderful at Boulevard.
Daughter in Law Birthday. Totally enjoyable. Our new favorite in SF.
Fabulous food, great service. I will definitely come back to Boulevard.
The food and service was amazing!
Staff is extraordinary. Very welcoming, helpful, and attentive .
Was here for a business meeting. Perfect atmosphere, always delicious food, perfect portions for lunch.
Shouldn’t have to wait for 1 hour and 15 minutes to be served.
No apologies for the long wait.
The sole was over cooked
Boulevard will definitely be on our revisit list the next time we are in SF. Food was delish and we had wonderful service. A very enjoyable dining experience.
We have been to Boulevard many times. The food is classic and good, not trendy. The ambiance is old boys' club or very fancy saloon with lots of wood and mirrors. The service was quite good, even allowing us time to chat with our old friend we hadn't seen in a while. My biggest complaint is that more care needs to be taken in the mixed green salad. There is no excuse for a restaurant of this caliber to have slimy pond scum mixed in with the mixed greens. My other complaint is the bathroom location but that isn't really the restaurant's fault.
