With its contemporary and chic atmosphere, reminiscent of a modern European café, Boulevard Bistro serves continental fare with a home-style twist. Open for breakfast, some of its most popular offerings include the orange mascarpone-stuffed French toast, the veggie-loaded egg white frittata and the breakfast burrito made with cage-free eggs. Comforting, yet elevated, dinner entrees are what Boulevard Bistro is all about. Items like the beet gnocchi with wild mushrooms, summer squash and goat cheese, the Kobe beef stroganoff with homemade noodles and the grilled mahi mahi fish tacos are all lovingly crafted with local produce.
Boulevard Bistro also serves an array of unique pizzas that leave guests raving. The barbecue chicken pizza, topped with pulled chicken and smoked gouda and the hangover pizza, topped with crispy pancetta and an oven roasted egg in the center, are all favorites of patrons.
Service was great, food was outstanding. Great upscale food and atmosphere at a reasonable price. The menu is well-rounded. Exceptional salads, soups and appetizers
I had average expectations for Boulevard Bistro, but was pleasantly surprised! The appetizer, entree and soup we ordered were fantastic and pretty unique I thought (the Mediterranean bread/dip appetizer = extremely tasty!). The food was brought out on lovely platters and in a timely manner. Service was great; our waitress was very helpful in providing recommendations and descriptions without being too pushy or rushed. The ambiance wasn't what I expected; it's very modern and a little more open than I thought it would be. Overall a great place, seemed a fair price for the quality and quantity of food.
Great food and atmosphere. Friendly and attentive staff. Reasonable prices.
This is one of my favorite restaurants and my friends and I usually really enjoy everything we order and are always impressed with the variety. Unfortunately, on this visit my friend ordered the chicken marsala and it wasn't up to speed. The chicken was dry, tasteless, way too many noodles and while the vegetables on the side invites the diner to use them as needed they tend to be quite cold upon arriving at the table. Our server, as usual, did everything she could to apologize for our disappointment. Not her fault. Every kitchen has a bad night now and then, it certainly won't deter us from coming as often as possible, but may change our menu choices.
WE have been to the Boulevard maybe 10 times and each and every time the food and service was great!
Great Neighborhood spot for Lunch or Dinner. My husband and I love the beet salad with grilled chicken . The Cuban sandwiches and burgers are always a good choice. The service is always quick and friendly.
I originally found this restaurant on accident just trying to find a place open past 7 when I first moved to Salt Lake. The food was phenomenal! I had the red trout which I can't rave about enough. The ambiance is interesting but comfortable. I would personally feel a little uncomfortable going in less than a polo and nice khakis although plenty of folks do. The service is outstanding, I have yet to have one complaint about it. For dessert go ahead and try the affogato, outstanding. I think this is a restaurant that anyone looking for finer food in Salt Lake should check out.
Didn't see a need for reservation. We were one group of only a few people inside, but it was a weekday. Food was OK. It needed to something to punch it up. I wouldn't call it bland. It just wasn't flavorful.
Enjoyed our meal. The trout and stroganoff was great.
This place is wonderful. It has great food, service is consistant and friendly, and prices are right. Highly recommend trying the Boulavard Bistro.
Food was very mediocre all the way around. Restaurant was slow and seemed like it is an after thought. Magazine review was too nice and will not be back.
My wife and I were so pleased with our visit to the Boulevard Bistro. It is close to our home and a great find. On this, our 2nd visit, we dined on the patio. The service was excellant (waiter's name, I think, was JC or CJ. Not sure, but it was initials). I had the schnitzel which was very tasty and not greasy or bland. My wife had the evening special of veggie lasagna, which was also favorful and delicious. Portions were ample. The menu has something good for everyone. And the wine/beer list has excellant offerings. Service was prompt and the waiter checked back at just the right frequency. When we left after our meal, the hostess held the door for us with a genuinely friendly smile. This place has struck a perfect balance. Not too casual and not too staunchy. Good food and good ambiance. We found it to be just right and will return again.
Nice ambience altho empty on a Saturday evening around 9. Lemon drop martini watered down with little flavor. All the dishes had one flavor that overwhelmed the others. Brussels sprouts: sour vinegar. Pasta aglio oglio with pancetta added on request: hot pepper and excessive amount of pancetta. Pasta with clams: hot pepper. Server had issues running credit cards and left us waiting without an explanation. Overall disappointing.
Went here with a group of 6 after graduation. wanted a nice spot that was a little more upscale in food and ambiance than a regular pub. This place was perfect. The food was awesome and it all came out at the same time and was the temperature it should be. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Would go back in a heart beat.
The food was very good. All 9 of us in our party thought we would return. The stroganoff was especially good. Lots of variety on the menu both as far as tastes and prices. I was rather surprised when we went to leave around 7:30 on a Friday night and the restaurant was still pretty empty. We had made a reservation but obviously didn't need one. The only drawback to the whole experience was the server. She was adequate but had a bit of an attitude. When she asked if we'd like a drink I asked her about her martinis. She asked if I was from Utah. I am, but travel extensively so I know the difference between our mini martinis and a real one. I joked with her that I didn't mind the small amount as long as the price was small as well so I could order more. I don't think she thought I was funny, just cheap. she copped an attitude from then on. I guess I'll have to be careful who I joke with. All in all, I would return as everyone else was very accommodating and friendly. I'd just make sure she wasn't my server. Oh, by the way, she still got more than a 20% tip.
Have been twice for lunch and Mothers Day brunch. Have enjoyed all 3 experiences both food and service. They did more help at the front desk on Mothers Day.
The staff went the extra mile when it came to making us comfortable on the patio so we could enjoy the hot then cold but pretty weather. The food was well priced for the flavors and oddly something as simple as the breakfast burrito really surprised me. The provided salsas really set it off! And the price on that item was so reasonable I ordered a side of there "small" pancakes. (I was starving...) The pancakes were larger than expected and the flavor was again above the price! The cappuccino was a great ratio of milk to coffee.
Always had a good meal here. Nice quick service.
Steak cook perfectly, nice menu...peaceful.
Love this place -- something for everyone. Our party had the trout, a super barbequed chicken pizza, the Kobe beef stroganof, and a salad/soup combo, followed with killer good gelato.
Great service, awesome food, and reasonable price.
We ordered pizza and pasta and Boulevard Bistro. The restaurant has really good ambience Our waitress was very nice and patient as well. Overall, the food and service we got was definitely amazing for the price we paid.
Excellent variety of menu selections -- from small to moderate appetite -- to hearty and comfort food. Excellent presentation -- alway hot if it should be hot/always cold if the food should be served cold.
Good wine and cocktail selection.
The best part of this restaurant is the service. Easy to hear, easy to work with, good suggestions and genuinely are glad you are there. Present food and ideas in an upbeat and "you won't be sorry" attitude.
Eating outside is wonderful on a warm summer night or for a Sunday brunch. Give it a try, I think you will really enjoy this dining experience.
I'm not sure why Boulevard Bistro is not more popular. Each time I have gone the restaurant has been far under it's capacity, yet the ambiance is beautiful, the food is very good and the service has always been warm, friendly and efficient. The patio is a nice during the summer and the indoor dining is modern and the sound does not bounce off the walls like it does at so many places these days. I think Boulevard Bistro is underrated and well worth a visit.
Elegant and impressive at a good price
We make this our go-to place once a week -- creative menu, tasty specials, and friendly and highly competent staff. Don't miss choosing a couple of gelatos for dessert -- or just stop by for one. Salted Pretzel Caramel, Cinnamon, Almond Joy, no matter what you choose you will enjoy it!
A friend and I had a wonderful lunch at Boulevard Bistro. The service and food were both excellent. We both had salads, and everything was incredibly fresh. If you like coffee, theirs is fantastic. I would highly recommend to anyone.
Our second time here. This time, a "chef's tasting menu" for two on Valentine's Day. All five courses were excellent. Atmosphere was quiet enough for normal conversation. Server was attentive without hovering over us; subsequent courses came immediately after we finished each. Water glasses remained full all evening.
This will now be our go-to place for taking guests out for a bite.
Don't miss a wonderful taste sensation, with not only haxzlenuts but capers on the trout!
Fish Tacos were really good! Great Gelato as well!
The salmon special, with asparagus and fingerling potatoes, topped with hollandaise, was FABULOUS! And save room for the gelato -- almond joy was especially nice.
food was tasty, pretty wide menu. service was excellent - prices good. would visit again.
Food excellent, service excellent but menu of entrees a little limited that being said what is there is worth eating many times over. The "Red Trout"was phenomenal. My wife loved the salmon.
Service was outstanding. The food was good, maybe not spectacular but it was good. I'm not sure why this place isn't more busy. It was great to get in with a large group. Calamari was kind of boring and tasted like it was just warmed up in a microwave, but the butternut squash soup was good, fish tacos were good. Bruchetta was really good. Overall very enjoyable evening with friends.
This was a great place to go for a work lunch! The ambience was nice and we were able to enjoy our conversations without having to "talk over" noise. The food was excellent with a good selection to choose from, many in our group stated that they wanted to come back.
The evening dining I experienced the other night with two great friends was outstanding. The ambiance of the restaurant is so fun and relaxing. The food is excellent. The service is perfect. The gelato choices are terrific and they taste fantastic.
I've eaten here for lunch many times and I've never been disappointed. Their menu changes once in a while, and so does their portions but the menu has a great variety and everything is good!
Ordered appetizers and wine, for the Wednesday evening deal. 2 choices of wine does not a flight make in my opinion. We had to send the bread back because it was so salty we couldn't eat it. Service was outstanding. Adriana was most attentive to our needs. The food was tasty and bread was quickly replaced.
Early on a Saturday evening we went to Boulevard to celebrate our 40th Anniversary at one of our favorite places for great food in a very comfortable setting. Wine list is long enough to provide good choices and short enough to be able to make a decision in a single evening. Split a Rocket Arugula Salad. Got Kobe Beef Stroganoff and Linguini & Meatballs. All were wonderful and we were too full for dessert. Service was very pleasant. Not our 1st time, won't be our last.
Fiesta with imaginative Nuevo Mexican fare paired with Utah Vida tequila cocktails and local Epic beers. Well-planned from start to finish, and at a reasonable price. A sudden thundershower moved us all indoors, but this had been planned for and the transition was seamless.
This restaurant came highly recommended by the couple we were taking out. It wasn't busy yet but our server seemed stressed and overwhelmed. When we asked for bread, her response? "We don't offer bread service in this restaurant". Wow. Didn't see much of her for two hours. Beef stroganoff was very tasty, but kobe was overcooked and gristly. Dessert (gelato)served in a sample cup-like container, two plastic tasting spoons stuck on top. It's a dine in restaurant, it's okay to charge more and not act like a gelato stand. Time and money are too important to spend on an establishment that doesn't quite get it.
Great space with promise. Food was mixed. Calamari was fantastic. Clam Linguini was overly salty. Willing to give it another go.
