Boulder View Tavern is an American restaurant and pub that features a lakeside patio with a beautiful view. The atmosphere inside is friendly and good for a relaxed time with family and friends. The restaurant offers several craft beers, house cocktails and specialty martinis along with weekly specials. Local musicians play live music at the Boulder View Tavern every weekend.
Tavern wings and French steamed mussels are popular appetizers to start with, while the grilled ahi tuna is the restaurant’s specialty salad. For your main course, choose a burger like the 8-ounce certified Black Angus beef burger, bison burger or black bean burger. All burgers at Boulder View Tavern are served with a choice of one side, including sidewinder fries, melon wedge and coleslaw. Dinner entrées include dishes like twin crab cakes, filet mignon and lemon chicken breast, all served with a medley of roasted fingerlings.
The restaurant did not have my open table reservation but the people there honored it
First restaurant that had deviled eggs as appetizer. Huge fan
Service was poor, food, music and view outstanding
View of the lake is beautiful and food was very good. I thought kids choices were expensive and much more than advertised online.
Nice view, Nice noisey view, nice noisey view with mediocre food and service.
This was a disappointing departure from other times that we have dined here. The food quality was very poor. The restaurant was dirty and there were flies in the inside dining area. The place and lakeside view have the potential to be so incredible, again, we hope they get their mojo back.
Worst meal we’ve ever had out. Eat anywhere in this area BUT here.
We enjoyed our meals! It was crowded and a bit noisy, but food and service and live music were all good!
They acted like they had no idea I had made reservations. I had made my reservations 3 days in advance and even received an emailed from the restaurant directly stating that had received my request for 4 sitting outside at 7pm.
When we arrived they had no table saved for us and told us that there was no seating outside due to the weather forecast earlier that day. When we did get seated there were families seated shortly after us out on the balcony. I am very disappointed because I had made reservations in advance for my husband and sons birthday dinner so that we could have outdoor seating. I have lost confidence in this open table app and I’m not sure I will trust using it moving forward.
Outdoor music was too loud to think. Food was ok. People were awesome and view was amazing!
I am not sure how this restaurant received a 4.3 star rating. I can see how it would be a great place for drinks, but definitely not a good dining option.
Family night out on vacation! Great food and great outdoor dining.
Food was delicious, drinks were good but pricey. This was the first time there, should have been advised that reservations are only for upstairs dining. Waited about 30 minutes for outside seating due to staff shortage. Overall it was a good experience.
The service was extremely poor, was seated immediately but then no server for 15 minutes. One dish was the wrong order. Had to go up to bar to get a 2nd drink and request containers. Server deducted 10% of bill and offered free dessert, although we did not complain so she was aware of her poor service. Food was delish! Would go back.
Not food, good prices.beatiful setting. Great veiw.
We had reservations for two... They sat us in a super mini table for two “no room” at all...Food was overpriced for portions and not flavorful at all, we both had entrees and no salad or bread included?.. We had to wait for our drinks for about 15 minutes and the mojitos were terrible, seltzer water, mint leaves just thrown on top, no squeezed lime, no simple syrup?..Waitress apologized twice for the long drink wait and then the drinks were not worth the wait. We were here before and were dissatisfied, we will not be back. It’s a shame, nice place.
The service was what stood out here. We sat outside below the deck and enjoyed the view of the "Boulder".
Loved the place. Celebrated our anniversary and it was easy to find and quiet. Parking was a small problem.
The service was excellent. The food presentation was very uninspiring. It was no better than what gets done at our home. The food itself was fine. It was not special, The fact that there was a band playing outside, and everytime the door opened, and it opened constantly, the music came blairing in. This was quite annoying.
Very nice but noisy on Pocono 400 weekend, it was closed on Sunday, Why?
Good food and drinks with a great view! Enjoyed the live music as well. Definitely recommended.
We dine here often in the summer, and we really like the Sunday brunch. On Mothers Day we had a wonderful time and the waitress was superb. The girls at the reservation desk were also very kind.We were there the day before, and the waiter was very professional and efficient. My salmon was excellent and my family enjoyed their fish and chips, especially the fries. On Mothers Day we all ordered different entrees and the waitress did a terrific job whereas there were ten of us.As an ex waitress I know a professional and both days we had pros. And I enjoyed wearing the CROWN they brought over. First time I was ever a QUEEN in a restaurant.
The place was airy and the view great. The service was great. Food came out quickly. Problem was so so. Ok at best. It was tasteless. Prices was reasonable but I can get the same quality of food from any fast food place.
The food was great as was the service. We will definitely be back!
It was our anniversary and we choice this place e online after seeing a menu and photos and reviews. We traveled about half an hour from our hotel. It was worth the drive. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and the price was fair. We loved the atmosphere. They were decorated for cinco derby mayo, so colorful and pretty. We had a lakeside view. Great night.
Tasty food. Friendly staff. Live band. Would definitely go back
Never disappointed at BVT. Angie, keep the Martini's coming! Always great music Friday and Saturday making the experience all the better. And those sunsets looking over Big Boulder Lake!!
The best part of this restaurant is the view. The food is okay, not amazing, but probably one of the better places for this area. The service is okay - we didn't get some of our appetizer order and the server didn't really apologize that things were forgotten. She just brought the missing appetizers out with the entrees. Just an average meal. Fish and chips and the caesar salad are good options.
We celebrated my birthday with my family. The hostess/bartender was not very friendly but perhaps she was having a bad day. The bison burger was wonderful and my husband enjoyed the braised short ribs. We had the birthday martini for dessert....yum!
Staff was nice but food seemed industrial. Not sure if this is a post ski diner or a place to go for a nice quiet meal. When I was there, it tried to be both. Unsuccessfully.
What a wonderful place for meals, music, and cocktails!
Very nice place by the Lake. Prices are cheap and very reasonable. Food is excellent from burgers to steak. Great service and wonderful waitress.
Been to Boulder View many times and we always have a fantastic meal.
Everyone is outgoing and energetic
Great service. Food good
Have been to BVT numerous times over the last few years and even more frequently since we moved to the Poconos permanently. We have never been disappointed. GREAT Sunday brunch buffet!
The food was alright but we reserved a table for 7 pm but they for some did not have a table ready, it took them 20 minuets before we got a table
We went after skiing. Had a reservation and took us immediately. Good selection of Bar drinks.
The wait staff was very busy and the kitchen slow to get food out. Food was great, but soup was cold when served. We did not have the heart to send it back.
We very much enjoyed the place and will give it another visit next ski trip.
Half our party got sick. Food was not great anf overpriced for quality. Will not go back
The service was great. The food not so..
Crabcake app was cool and soggy. No lemon.
The salmon dinner tasted like a dessert glaze was too sweet.
Again no lemon.
Should have gone with my gut and played
It safe with a burger.
It was a very nice evening. Out table was waiting for us when we arrived at 6:45. Happy Hour would end at 7:00pm and the noise level would start to subside. It was good to see Marcel since it was the first time we would dine at BVT since last ski season. It was also nice to see Pam and Danielle, our tag team servers. They both hustled that evening and our service was awesome. We definitely will be returning many time before the snow melts away. There are a few new additions to the menu that we will need to try. Keep up the good job and we will continue to point our friends in the direction of BVT !
