   A fabulous evening with great food and service, however my mum had bought us a bottle of champagne as an anniversary surprise which unfortunately was not provided

   Beautiful restaurant, food amazing. Staff very attentive, it was a lovely night and we were given the option to sit in the outside dining area. Lovely atmosphere. We would highly recommend a visit.

   Always a very pleasurable experience dining at Bouchon! We are regulars and enjoy the Gin Martinis, delicious steak and frites, cheeseboard with a new one this week-absolutely delicious!

   We booked lunch and unbelievably the weather was beautiful and we were lucky enough to secure a table on the terrace. Once again the food was superb. We will definitely return!

   Bouchon never disappoints. The food is always exceptional, perfectly cooked and presented, delicious and incredible value. We had the three course lunch for £26 each, and every course was a joy. The belly pork and celeriac salad was served with a rich sauce, so tasty we were glad of the crusty bread bun to soak up the last drops. The pork was perfectly cooked to render all the fat and concentrate the flavour. Chicken followed in a rich tomato sauce with rice, and again the flavour was exceptional. We chose different desserts; a fresh and light raspberry roulade, and a rich chocolate tart. Coffee came with a welcome jug of hot water, and little chocolates on the side. The wine and beer were, of course, very good, and the service faultless. We will, of course, be back. Thank you to all at Bouchon.

    The food was as always excellent and outstanding value for its fixed price lunch menu. Service was not quite as good as we have come to expect- appeared a little distant and less slick. Perhaps a new member of staff? Nevertheless, it remains one of our favourites in the NE and we will return soon.
