Excellent French bistro food. Servers did not know whom at our table of four had which dishes, but otherwise friendly and helpful.
Good food and service.
Service - 3!
Food was very good. Service was average and not very attentive ( even acknowledging staffing shortages). It was okay but probably not worth a return visit with other better French bistros in the city
Amazing French brasserie with well chosen mix of wines by the glass. Escargot are perfect, duck confit outstanding and steak frites just right. Plus excellent desserts and wonderful service that helped guide our selections. We’ll be back many times.
The food was delicious and the service was very good. Great staff
Great food, service, and ambience.
We were there for a special occasion; lovely.
Great food, nice service, good outdoor seating, a bit pricey but it is NYC
A lovely traditional French bistro. Great for lunch near Union Square.
Excellent as always
I always like Boucherie for its ambience and the food. I'm a happy repeating customer. This time, the experience is as pleasant as always, but the outstanding service from checking in at the host stand to the bartender truly made a great impression! Thanks for making my random Monday night out so wonderful!
expensive price for average food. Service was not the best.
Service was awful. Menus were in the table and it was 10 min before the waitress stopped by. I was looking forward to have a drink to then review the menu and select my meal. Well not possible. The drink and meal order were taken st the same time. Very disappointed
Great food...caesar salad, mussels and a hefty glass of wine with good tip will run $84.
Great experience overall!!! The food was outstanding!
Excellent restaurant. Classic French city restaurant ambiance and high quality food.
The best lamb chops I’ve ever had! Also, amazing drinks!
Huge increase on prices. Too much expensive now with regards to the quality of the food and service
Overpriced terrible service
It was a great place to celebrate our anniversary
We loved the atmosphere here and service was amazing. We celebrated our anniversary. Entrecôte was amazing and I highly recommend Pistachio Glaze. You will feel like you are in Paris.
Pricy but we had a wonderful meal! There wine selection was great. We ordered grilled octopus and escargot for appetizers. It was delicious and it was our son’s first time trying escargot. He really like it. We ordered salmon, cod steak for entrees they all were delicious. My favorite was the grand marnier crape.
Never disappointed with the Union Square Boucherie. We had the flap steak with bone marrow, which was delicious and very tender. We also had the cod, amazing! We’ll always come back for more.
The atmosphere is so beautiful in the Art Deco space with cathedral ceilings. It does feel like a trip to Paris.
Lovely Parisian feel with excellent service and delicious food. Great for groups.
They lie on their site that they have menus with QR code’s. They lie about outdoor seating.
Every entree we’ve tried turned out excellently!
Cocktails were delicious and wait staff was attentive
This place has wonderful food, amazing drinks, and great service Michele took great care of us and we will definitely be back.
Wagyu burger was overcooked and not seasoned or seared, I really didn’t enjoy it at all, our server noticed I hadn’t eaten most of it and asked about why, and when I told him, he took it off the bill which was very nice of him, and I really appreciated it.
Lovely room. Our table location wasn’t great though.
As always very good. Our server though I think was the only one working so she was busy. The reality of finding good staff I know is trying. She was great though.
I found the food to be overpriced, yet mediocre.
Not a restaurant week dinner, but decided to stay.
Despite a high bill, the restaurant probably lost out on at least $60 in alcohol because I would have had TWO cocktails if the first I had ordered could have come before my friend arrived, and we would have had white wine with the octopus (which was EXCELLENT, by the way) and then possibly I would have had two glasses of red with the 'steak'. We were able to ORDER the wine only AFTER we began our main courses, so I only had one.
After deliberation, ordered the Entrecote instead of the hangar steak - $10 more.
I couldn't even offer my companion a piece because it was not a steak I was proud to have ordered. Work to eat it; still picking it out of my teeth when I got home. Properly cooked - even a bit rare in some places (I ordered M.Rare) which I don't mind - but tough: it was work to cut and chew.
I wanted to go somewhere else for dessert, but I saw Tarte Tatin on their excellent dessert list. What arrived was 'a modern take on Tarte Tatin' perhaps, but NOT Tarte Tatin. Closer to an Alsatian tarte with butter and sugar. It was beautiful though, and tasty, so I don't mean to complain about it.
These are possibly small complaints, but this is a high end French Bistro, with HIGH end prices and the Entrecote was not comparable to the ongelet or hangar steak or Sirloin or Entrecote in SEVERAL middle range French Bistros and the price was closer to a steakhouse. I expect a good list of French wines by the glass (I don't mind higher prices to match $$$, but a GOOD list!) excellent meat and good predictable desserts in a bistro.
I also expect to drink too much!
Delicious food, lively & festive atmosphere, prompt service, great bistro!
WONDERFUL AMBIENCE AND EXCELLENT FOOD. SERVICE GOOD.
Amazing food & experience. We loved the unexpected gift of the recipe book at the end of the meal for our anniversary. That was a nice touch!
We had a great family meal here to celebrate a birthday. Service was excellent and we'd return for sure.
Excellent authentic French cuisine, well prepared entrecote.
Reunion. Staff was kind and let us sit as long as we wanted. Very enjoyable.
Service was absolutely terrible. It wasn't even busy but they just ignored us the first 15 minutes we were sitting at the table.
