We had a fabulous meal in this charming restaurant. It was a rainy Sunday night so it wasn’t super crowded but the hostess seated us on a banquet right next to a woman who had no concept of how loud her voice was or that perhaps others weren’t super interested in w dry detail of her upcoming wedding. We probably should have asked to move but as they had paid the check I was hopeful they’d leave quickly (they did not) That was the only downside to what was a truly lovely restaurant. Our food was delicious and the service was good. I would go back but ask for a round table in the center of the room.
Very bad service!
My best friend and I just finished having a terrific dinner at Boucherie Union Square. We each ordered Steak Frites au Poivre and it was cooked to absolute perfection. The restaurant was definitely busy, but the service we received was very attentive. Our waitress, Sanja, was so sweet and really helped us navigate the menu since it was our first time eating here. We ended the evening with the Pistachio Bombe Glacee (absolutely delicious) and were even greeted by the restaurant’s lovely GM, Jolie. Awesome ambience, service, and food from start to finish!
We had a wonderful dinner and would highly recommend. Would definitely return! Service was excellent!.
Great good! Very cozy place. Pricey but expected for this kind of establishment. I would like to come back and try this establishment again
Bartender was fabulous, best ever. Initially gave me a chipped glass and I asked if he could kindly remake the drink bc I was nervous there was some glass in the drink. Not only did he remake it, he was so apologetic and comped it. So kind! Amazing service, this is a lost art in Manhattan.
A perfect evening, a perfect service, perfect food for our 15th anniversary!
Great food, service and cocktails. We had the salmon and the lamb chops and they were both cooked to perfection.
Nice ambience and a delicious cocktail to start, but the food was average and the prices hard to justify.
The highlight of the meal was the dry aged steak - it was the best steak we have ever eaten. Tender, well prepared. Delicious.
The staff was polished, but not too stiff. Friendly, we chatted with the manager and the staff member. They were engaging yet knew when to leave us to enjoy the meal.
This was our anniversary dinner and the staff noted and went an extra mile. We got an extra dessert with "happy anniversary" written in chocolate on the plate.
Well done all around. We will be back! ;)
The food was amazing just as i expected it; our steak was cooked to perfection (juicy and tender) . I only wish our waitress was a little friendlier
Filet mug on was over cooked but steak frites were great!
Amazing food, amazing service, amazing wine
My cassoulet was hearty and authentic and went very well with a nice glass cotes du rhone (by the glass list). I was with colleagues from work and our party of 7 was able to talk and yet there was a nice lively ambiance. The wait staff was attentive and kept us well serviced but without hovering over us.
Restaurant had no croissants for brunch. It was only 11:30 am and they had no croissants ??? Unacceptable!
Lovely civilized. Clean. Attentive. ...well prepared generous portions of food
Delicious but more of a splurge
This our first visit and we will definitely be coming back again. The food was superb and the ambiance reminds of Paris. Our server Julio was also outstanding and made our experience even better!
The hostess was very welcoming and attentive.
Excellent overall. A little noisy, I guess because of its popularity (which is a good thing).
Had the confit, not up to standards.
Went to this restaurant after reading the great reviews. The restaurant is beautiful . service was very good .. food was very average. French onion needs more onions. Escargot was pretty good. French Fries were from Burger King. Beef Bourguignon was average. Meat was good but sauce and veggies were average. They also put bacon in the dish not necessary at all. For the price not worth all. Good luck won’t be back
We wanted to go to a nice place but that wasn’t pretentious. This was just what we were looking for! The food was great and the service was wonderful.
The place is loud and cramped, The service was uniformly bad. Food runners practically threw dinner on the tiny table. Waiters disappeared after taking our order. The sommelier visited us only after we were almost done eating, and then interrupted us with maddening frequency. AND the steak was dry and flavorless.
was perfect to meet and have a business meeting with my colleagues that we also wanted to enjoy French food in the city
My guest and I had high expectations upon arrival to this exciting space, and we were happy to wait a bit longer for a table outside. The service at the bar was quite good, and we had a chance to review the menu and whet our appetites. Sadly, our particular server for diner was more interested in having an extended conversation with another table. We and the two tables next to us had to repeatedly remind our server that we had not received our drink or appetizers for over 20 minutes. When the two steaks we ordered finally arrived, both requested at medium, one was raw and the other well done. The manager corrected this error with replacements, but in the end it was a very long wait to get it right. Perhaps with a more attentive server and in the kitchen, one could have an excellent dinner here.
Mediocre food at best...service horrible and slow on a relatively quiet week night...definitely not a repeat for us
We had a beautiful meal. The duck confit was superb as were the olives. This is a gorgeous and airy restaurant, very elegant and lovely. Perfect for a date or dinner with friends.
We had a wonderful birthday dinner for my husband. The lighting was perfect, noise level just right, and the service was impeccable. Our waiter was especially personable and even signed a book about the restaurant as a birthday gift. The food was good, not great. Thought the salmon was missing some flavor. I would still go back and order something different.
Always perfect for late night dinner! The food was delicious the servers as always nice and kind.We ate steak frites for the first time definitely coming back for a second.Thank you Boucherie for the lovely dinner!
This restaurant has the best ambiance in addition to their great selection of steaks. Everything we ate was delicious. It is great location for special days like bday. Would definitely come again.
Another amazing night with great food and service. Entrecôte was fantastic. I would highly recommend it. Also the Crepes are the best desert on the menu.
We loved The porterhouse. It’s to die for. Nice atmosphere and warm friendly service if you want good quality for your money, This is the place. Highly recommended.
We had a great time, food was delicious, service was impeccable. Our manager Benny made sure we were having a great time. Try the escargots , foie gras and Faux filet bercy(dried aged strip on the bone) Also best creme brulee I have ever had. Our somm Octai recommended an amazing bottle of wine ( Lespault Martiac, Pessac Leognan ) which paired very well with our steaks. Definetly, will bring my guests here. Thanks Boucherie team!
Best french restaurant in New York. By far!
This was a surprisingly good meal in Manhattan. We were able to get a last minute reservation on a Friday evening. The food was very good. We had the ravioli with truffle mushrooms and the Steak Frites. The dessert was also delicious - Profiteroles and Crepe Suzannah. Our waiter was excellent. The downside is that it’s very expensive and cost $250 for two. We didn’t even have a bottle of wine - rather two glasses and a cocktail. The other downside was the noise level. Very, very loud. That being said we had a lovely evening and it is a firm recommend.
Lunch can be a very good experience... it does get NOISY. One must request (if possible) to get a table that is Not on top of everyone. Service was friendly - but slow getting coffee and desert...very slow. This is a lovely place.....
We went twice during the same week. The first rime was excellent. The second one it was good. The octopus was salty and the quail a little bit dry and strong flavor. The service was also better the first day. The restaurant is noisy.
