Boucherie was a pure disappointment! We spent close to $300 for 2 people which included:
- 1 appetizers, 2 entrees and a bottle of $70 Bordeaux. The cost is way too high for the quality you’re getting
- Ordered fries and they replaced it with some burned potatoes without even asking if I wanted something else.
- Asked my meat medium rare, got it medium-well done.
Just not worth time, money and effort to go there! Avoid this place.
This restaurant was one of my favorites unfortunately the hostess staff is extremely rude and really put off the experience
Unfriendly reception. Table service was good. I can do better Steak at home. Was expecting better - seems they cook steak on a ridged griddle- which means most of the steak doesn’t get caramelised.
We had great food and an amazing waiter from Turkey. He explained everything. They were so busy but he didn’t make me feel like a burden. I’m making this restaurant a staple.
Great atmosphere and the desserts are top notch. I'd definitely go there again!
Overall just fair. I ordered the cod with crab and hollindasie sauce and it was under the heat lamp so long that all the sauce was cooked. I asked the waiter if this came with the sauce and he said yes it was on it. A sauce is supposedly wet so it was there is more accurate. The service was ok, I wouldn’t go back but it’s ok.
First time to the Boucherie Union Square. It was a family celebration for our adult daughter who works nearby. She checked and this restaurant as an option and was excited they had her favorite peppercorn steak and chocolate mousse. All our our dinners were delicious, tender meat and well flavored. The service was outstanding and we drank and ate and enjoyed our meal and the lovely decorations/ambience. We were all very pleased with the Boucherie and next time we are in town , we will absolutely come back.
We had the best lunch at Boucherie the weekend after Thanksgiving. The restaurant is decorated beautifully, the service was fantastic, and the food was delicious. We can't wait to go back.
Outstanding food, service and ambience. We enjoyed a fabulous brunch here but would be happy to come back for lunch or dinner as well.
Very comfortable, not cramped, and food was great.
We had a wonderful dining experience. Everything was excellent and our server, Ashif, was the BEST!
Excellent food, service and ambiance!
Wonderful all around! We were at Union Square! Enjoyed very much, a little loud but way staff is very attentive.
Family thanksgiving dinner with young kids - great service and accommodating to children but still felt adult semi casual fun eve
I love this restaurant and will return but on this particular visit the food, and later, the coffee, was served lukewarm. Not the best experience for this meal. Maybe they were too busy to deliver the orders to our table when they were hot.
Food was somewhat disappointing. Not the best French bistro food we’ve had. Onion soup was watery :(
Desserts were delicious though!
Had an 8:30 pm reservation, wasn’t seated until 9:00 pm
Food was pricy but great. Staff was super nice and service perfect. Will come back.
Way to nosy to relax and enjoy conversation. People around us were literally shouting to hear each other, exacerbating a bad situation. Appetizers were served promptly, but our entrees—boeuf bourginon and a filet—did not come out till nearly an hour after we’d finished the appetizers. The manager came to see us, took both entrees off our bill, ands said the delay was “absolutely unacceptable.” That was good of him but hardly compensated us for a very bad evening. The food was okay, but not commensurate with the establishments ratings. Would not return or recommend.
Amazing experience! Waiter was so accommodating and sweet. Can’t wait to come back for that crem brûlée
7-person brunch… space was great for the group, but drinks took a while to come out, and my eggs were cold when they showed up. It fit the bill for “let’s brunch near Union square,” but I wouldn’t go out of my way to dine there again!
Amazing food amazing service!
Champagne without bubbles, they serve another glass for my wife. Crepe Suzette with ice cream? Was very creamy.
We ordered two Steak Frites, medium rare. Both were overcooked, flavorless (no sear at all), and came with soft and undercooked fries. A different diner at our table got beef bourguignon, which was unbearably salty. The consensus at our table was the only thing worth getting was the burger. Big disappointment, especially with nosebleed prices, like a $19 cup of onion soup.
I’ve been to Boucherie before, but it seems to have really gone downhill. Our server checked on us maybe once for the entire hour. Went 30 minutes without refills. It was a running joke at the table. Shame.
Packed and buzzing, but staff were very accommodating to my group’s last minute additions…classic French fare, I had a dry martini to start then steak frites with a glass of Gamay…fall in NYC with old friends: great evening!
Great food! Lovely ambiance. Felt very europe in there
Our food was good and the wine delicious but service was really slow. Took at least 45 min to even get bread. But I do really like their outdoor seating.
I never write reviews, especially negative ones, but I had the worst experience dining at Boucherie last night and I couldn’t stay silent.
The service was terrible!
First, the waiter messed up our order (they brought us 8oz filet mignon when we ordered a 24oz $165 one with sides to share) and we had to wait for 10 minutes for the waiter to come back to even check on us before he took the wrong entree away and placed the proper order.
We hoped for desserts to make up for the rough beginning of our dinner, but no, after waiting for 35 minutes for 2 scoops of sorbet and profiteroles, we were just ready to leave without dessert, and we did just that. No apologies, no complimentary drinks, no attention from management.
If it wasn’t for lovely accommodating hostess Ashley, we would’ve walked out right after the entrees.
Our evening was ruined. Terrible service. Inattentive. Absolutely unacceptable. Not coming back again.
Amazing! The food and service were wonderful.
