For a restaurant of this caliber their orange juice was not freshly squeezed and this was very disappointing... it also took a long time to get coffee.
Wagyu burger was a bloody mess. Slapped together and served with an already soggy bun.
Great experience! Excellent food, attentive and friendly staff.
Hostess from Paris is so nice and authentic, which is hard to stumble upon in the Manhattan dining scene. Bravo for a beautiful meal with great service. Merci beaucoup!🇫🇷
We had a truly exceptional dining experience at Boucherie Union Square! We arrived a bit earlier than our reservation and they were still able to accommodate getting us seated immediately and gave us a choice of where we felt most comfortable dining in the restaurant. We had the sommelier assist in us selecting a bottle of wine which paired lovely with our dinner selections. We started with the asparagus salad which was large enough for the 2 of us to share. It was very fresh and flavorful. We then had the scallops which were complete perfection. For our entrée we selected the Wagyu burger to share as recommended by our waiter, Slobodan. While it seemed a bit odd to order a burger at a fine dining establishment, he assured us we would not be disappointed and he was absolutely correct. The layers of flavor in the burger made it far and away the most incredible burger my husband and I have ever had. It’s easy to see why Boucherie has the ratings it does because our service, food, and experience was incredible.
La comida estaba rica, pero el precio nos pareció excesivo. Además, había mucho ruido.
We will return!
We went to Boucherie during Restaurant Week. The food was delicious and the service excellent. The restaurant was very loud, so much so that I had a hard time hearing my husband across our tiny table. But overall it was terrific and we'll definitely return.
My husband had booked our reservation but we showed up to the wrong location. They were completely understanding and called the other Boucherie to let them know we would be dining at their location. It was a busy evening and we were still instantly seated and attended to. The food was superb. Everything was excellently cooked and everything in the plate complimented each other perfectly. We were attended to every few minutes by Jolie (who has to be the most pleasant hostess we've ever met) to assure everything was to our liking. We will DEFINITELY be returning in the upcoming weeks.
A real crowd pleaser. Not a weak spot on the menu.
We visited Boucherie on Restaurant Week. The limited menu had a good selection and the food quality was very high. The wine list is overpriced.
I went with a friend for a Restaurant Week lunch. Nice, casual atmosphere and friendly and effective service. The grilled octopus appetizer was very good and a decent portion. But the beef bourguignon was terrible: very tough and overly salted. I probably should have sent it back. The house red wine, a cote du Rhone was excellent. And the macaroons were sweet. Overall, a disappointing experience.
Lovely spot. Attentive, without being too much, service. Great recommendations by wait staff (Sanya?) and their sommelier. Currently running 50%off bottles after 9pm. Hard to believe that will last long as their reputation grows. Every course was perfect. Highlights were mushroom raviolis and the salmon. Divine!! Will return!!
Good food, and quality service. A little loud, and warm inside but they have outside seating, so overall it was a nice experience.
we tried the restaurant as part of Restaurant Week; it was great, and would definitely return throughout the year. The host (Jolie) and wait staff were exceptionally attentive.
Food and service was outstanding!! We were a group of 8 there for restaurant week. I had the mussels for appetizer and mushroom stuffed ravioli for the main course. Chocolate mousse for desert. I will definitely go back again!
Great value for the Restaurant Week dinner menu. The food was delicious. Regular menu a bit overpriced, but would definitely come again during restaurant week.
Great lunch place. Very French!
This is our regular spot when we are in the city. Great restaurant with great French food and friendly attentive service. I love this place.
Thank you Boucherie
Great food and service.
Came here with my sister. Great food. If you go after 9pm, it’s also 50% off all bottles of wine which is nice. The food was delicious. The service was great.
I had a great experience again. Food is great, service is so attentive. Manager Benal was always checking on us. Our water glass was never empty, our server Slobadan made sure constantly that we were satisfied. They have new items in menu like stuffed quail which is a must try. We tried wagyu buger that melts in your mouth. And the temperature was just right like I have ordered. Thank you Boucherie team. We ll always be back.
The Restaurant Week menu was terrific. The portions were very generous and delicious, with top-quality ingredients, beautifully prepared. Excellent salad and mussels. Steaks cooked perfectly along with the crunchiest of frites.
Attentive servers. Thoroughly delightful evening.
Great deal for lunch during Restaurant Week
I’m not sure how this place gets above 4 stars. The food is decent but nothing to write home about. The service is horrible. Our server barely served water. She didn’t ask about dessert or coffee or drinks. It took two plus hours to get dinner completed. I won’t be back ever again.
The food was just okey, but expensive and it was really noisy !!
Went to the Boucherie for the Restaurant week. The menu was an excellent traditional French one. The food was prepared perfectly and was absolutely delicious. Service was attentive and good. I highly recommend the experience.
Had a quick lunch here and loved the ambience. The octopus is amazing.
Slobodan was the best and gave us the greatest service! We love him
Not ever found wanting on the level of service and the food was exceptional with a great value set menu. My only gripe was the price of alcohol, althpugh probably not over-the-top for nyc
The food was not the best but I had to give the restaurant a shot for restaurant week considering its reviews. Our server was lovely and recommended dishes to us. My medium rare steak arrived medium-medium well and it was incredibly chewy. The seasoning was alright but nothing mind blowing. I’ve been on the hunt for amazing steak and overall this place disappointed. I had a star for the service. The seating arrangement is truly horrible considering that the restaurant only looks good empty. If everyone was seated, servers can not walk from table to table without bumping the customers. Not the servers fault at all, management definitely needs to fix seating arrangement. Coming for dinner is not equivalent to being bumped into every time a server needs to refill water.
Food was average. Expected more based on trip advisor rating.
The food and service are fantastic however the front section of the restaurant is extremely noisy during happy hour. If you want to converse with the other quests during dinner I suggest you request a table in the rear section.
I found the noise level to be too loud for normal conversation. The Restaurant Week menu was a great value.
Had a great dinner at Boucherie on Union Square. The service was excellent as well as the food. I had Steak frites and my wife had the roasted chicken with mashed potatoes. It was like we were in Paris. Highly recommend 🍷
Lovely restaurant with impressive food ... but severely understaffed on the night we visited. Waited forever for a drink at the bar - and waited as well for a table in spite of our reservation.
We enjoyed the entire experience thoroughly!! The Restaurant Week menu was superb. My entire family loved their meals from start to finish and our server was a sweetheart! Excellent overall.
Excellent experience! We had the prix fixe menu and everything was very good especially the steak frites and chocolate mousse. Service was attentive and friendly. We look forward to going back again soon!
Our first time dining here and will definitely be back .we came here for restaurant week which by the way is a great deal but we also oder the 50oz on the bone ribeye recommended by our waiter julio) we started with the escargot, steak tartar as an appetizer and had the mushroom ravioli with the tomahawk as a main course (worth mentioning twice) the wine selection is great.had a delicious bottle of wine, orion swift machete red blend 2016 chocolate mouse to finish on a sweet note and couldn't as for a better experience. Thank you Julio will be back to nyc in September looking forward to dine at Boucherie again.
