I was disappointed with the service. It took way too long for he waiter to get our drink order after we sat down. My wife got the filet and hers was good. I got the bone in NY strip and the cut wasn’t good. Positives were the appetizers, The onion soups was delicious and the escargot was good. Wouldn’t recommend because of the poor service.

Super cute, charming. Perfect for a cold night in a fuzzy sweater with a great glass of red, dark wine. Very accommodating- we were with kids. Lovely windows. I don’t like the 7th ave view but in the dark still pleasant. Would recommend, definitely, but not a foodie spot. Food was fine, but not amazing

Two of us enjoyed a boozy brunch with authentic french preparations. Our bottle of bubbles was excellent and the food was great (I gave food a 4 out of 5 only because it was excellently prepared but the usual - 5/5 would be warranted for exceptionally fresh ingredients or unique preparations or twists on the usual). All other aspects of my review (service, ambiance, etc) warranted 5/5. Important note: The waiter gave us the space and time we needed to enjoy our lazy Sunday afternoon. In fact, we appreciated that she would check in on us but NEVER made us feel like we had to wrap up because she needed the table. We really appreciated that. I never got her name, but she was from Macedonia and deserves credit for her excellent work!

The servers were very attentive. Every dish we had tasted like a five star restaurant. The ambiance reminded me exactly of Paris. All in all just a great experience!

Wife and I had a late valentines day dinner here on Saturday. It was a very nice venue. Food was great but I thought the service was a little slow, that could have been because it was a packed house. My only other complaint was that every bit of space was used. Even though your tables are separated from others, the closeness makes you fell as though you are all eating together.

They mixed the cooking value of our meals. My meat was well done and my wife’s meal was rare. They did not worry about it.

I was there for brunch. The food was very tasty, but overpriced. $27 for poached eggs with lox, an English muffin, and potatoes on the side. Our waiter was ok, but not great in terms of attentiveness. The atmosphere was nice, moderately loud but nothing out of the ordinary for NYC. Go for the food and just make sure you budget enough for the outing.

The food for brunch was absolutely delicious. However, I do think it is a little overpriced. Additionally, I wish the lunch menu was offered at brunch as well.

The waitress was really not warm nor friendly, and ordering the avocado toast substituting the egg for smoked salmon was a real struggle. I ended being charged $14 for a side of salmon...

We waited 30 minutes for a table, even with a reservation. Service was very poor, we could never find our waiter and everything took a very long time. Food was good however.

It was very tight and we were sat in a not so comfortable table, very close to the neighbors and around the path of waiter/waitress traffic. It was not ideal and not that comfortable hearing all the words of the neighbors and essentially knocking elbows with them. I realize it's NYC and space is at a premium, but at a nice french restaurant I'd prefer a little intimacy.

My wife and I stopped in for dinner on a Friday evening. We were seated without delay, and the wait staff was attentive without making us feel hurried. We ordered a bottle of Chateauneuf du Pape, which was delicious and not crazily priced. Our salmon and duck confit entrees were delicious, and well proportioned. Profiteroles made for an outstanding finish to the meal. We'll happily come back again!

Rarely have I spent $600 with four people and felt so unwanted. We were seated upstairs in an empty room later joined by a couple and five people. Downstairs is where the restaurant's design shines and the restaurant had tables open. The waitress was not very attentive, so getting through three bottles of wine with her was a constant signaling situation. We all ordered medium rare. The other couple's steak was significantly under, my husband’s lamb was under, my sole was good. It's specialty is steak, and they got one sent back and one I ate, but the texture made it disappointing. Nobody asked us whether we enjoyed our meal. I guess they already knew.

This restaurant came as a recommendation from a colleague and it did not disappoint. The food was so delicious, i had to force myself to slow down in order to savor every bite. the Beef bourguigon was the best i have ever had the pleasure to enjoy. We had two outstanding servers but Alexis (sp?) was so fun, friendly and attentive. i look forward to returning to NYC just to come back for dinner!

The first thing you experience is the extremely heavy door. Perhaps only a bank vault would have a door that would take more effort to swing open. But given the freezing air outside, one has to admire the forethought of the designers to keep out the cold! There were many walk-ins waiting for tables (it was a Saturday at 8pm after all), and the restaurant's main floor and balconies were all abuzz with animated conversation in a relaxed atmosphere. Guests, many dressed in jeans and jackets, were clearly having a good time. After reporting to the maitre d' with my reservation, I was seated immediately at a spacious table. The meat-heavy menu seemed a bit pricier than I had recalled the nearby Petite Boucherie being, but well within reason for Greenwich Village. On my waitress's advice I ordered the steak frites and a glass of Californian red, which was well-paired. I don't normally go in for battered fries, but they were pleasantly crunchy and worked well with the bites I was sawing off my New York strip. The medium-rare steak was truly "a point"-- I couldn't have grilled it better myself. Although I thought I didn't have much appetite, I made short work of my main course, and my waitress convinced me to go with the tarte tatin for dessert--- the second-best tarte tatin I've had, after a nonpareil specimen in Le Marais a year ago. I was very pleased with the food, but especially with the attentive service. I'm sure I'll be going back sometime soon.

Our first time to Boucherie, prompted by Restaurant Week. We arrived on time and were seated promptly once we managed to announce our arrival. The regular menu appeared to have a number of interesting options; however, we stuck to our special 3-course dinner menu for Restaurant Week. We had a lovely bottle of Sancerre for our drinks, which was crisp, and a nice mineral mouth feel, tho' also a bit pricey at $70+. Starters were the seafood soup in a spiced tomato broth and mussels in white wine and cream sauce, both were excellent, tho' some mussels were not fully cooked. Entrees were salmon over a leek puree with a lovely seared crust and a nicely cooked steak frites, tho' I opted out of the fries and had a frisee salad instead. To finish, we both had the chocolate pots de creme that was rich and nicely paired with sliced strawberries.

We felt the food and ambiance were spot on, tho' the background music was a bit too rhythmic and energetic for my tastes, tho' perhaps were spot on for the rest of the younger crowd. A nice level of noise, tho' I was glad to be at the edge of the main room. The waiter perhaps was not quite as attentive as the assistant, who kept our glasses full of water and efficiently and carefully cleared our table of finished plates. I am used to having a chiller provided for white wine---here one was not provided or offered. Having said this, the wine did not suffer from being a bit warmer than initially served.

Went for NYC restaurant week and it was amazing! Food and service were fantastic - I enjoy trying new spots during restaurant week, and have found that some restaurants will sacrifice quality when ordering off this menu. Boucherie maintained an wonderful level of service and all of the food, across the board, was incredible! I would 100% go back and pay full price :)

Filet mignon and steak frites are the best in the house. Barolo wine is not great and is overpriced but the Pinot noir is subtle and nice with your steak

I have been to this restaurant for a drink at the bar but had never eaten there. I was curious and decided to try it during restaurant week. The service was wonderful. They had a very nice restaurant week menu with several options in each category. Our waiter, Alexander, was very courteous and professional. The food was delicious. My friend and I both chose the walnut salad and the salmon. The salad was perfectly dressed. The salmon was perfectly cooked. The potatoes halves were crisply roasted and the leak fondue was delicious. We had a leisurely lunch and enjoyed the ambiance.

I really wanted to like this place. They sat us, and it took 20 minutes for the server to get to us. Yes, he apologized, but at a restaurant like this, you'd expect better service. There wasn't even bread while we were waiting. Great wine selection but way overpriced. The soup du jour was probably the only thing I liked during Restaurant Week (cauliflower cream soup). I was excited for their steak frites, but the steak was incredibly bland with nothing superb about the fries. The peppercorn sauce on the side could have saved it, if the steak was a tad bit more flavorful. And then came dessert...which there's always room for, right? Wrong. The chocolate mousse was much too heavy for a dessert. The taste was alright, but to be completely honest I probably just liked the ice cream. Hopefully they made that in-house. The ambience is elegant and charming, but overall there's not much else to this restaurant.
