The food was delicious, as always, for this popular, classic French restaurant. The service was friendly although slow. Unfortunately we were at one of many tables placed in the bar/walk through area - we needed to sit at one side of the table while staff and bar patrons squeezed by the table all night. People at the bar backed up to our table. Took away from the entire experience.

My husband and I dined at Boucherie in December while we were visiting for Christmas week. It was very busy but EVERYTHING was wonderful. Our service, our table, the food, and I even ordered something to take out as I was traveling back home the next day, and wanted something for the train ride. My what six months will do. Once we were seated and water poured, it was 20 minutes before someone came to ask if we wanted a drink. Then another 10 before we got the drinks. (the place was not at all as busy as it was in December) We ordered our food when we got our drinks because irritation of slowness was starting to seep in. Hubby ordered Steak Frites, medium rare, I order the Boucherie Burger. Our food arrived and the Steak Frites was placed in front of me, while my husband was served a plate of Steak Tartare. Hmmm...Wrong. When it was figured out, I did get my burger which was good. The steak was more medium than rare. To say we were disappointed is a bit of an understatement. But we just ate it as we did have somewhere to be shortly. The service was inattentive except when Iasked for the check was I offered anything more, which at that point we did not. But please, give us the service and food quality of December 2024 and not July 2025.

We had an amazing experience and Petar gave us exceptional service. He even brought us champagne on the house when he saw that we had a bride in our gang! Will come back for sure.!

Customer service was good, food was good. A little noisy with young children sitting close to us who unfortunately were crying and yelling. Not at the fault of the restaurant, but did hinder our experience.

Overall, outstanding. A few failures, but they were minor. Drinks? Wonderful. Food? Selection was quite varied. The Duck was undercooked. The Steak overcooked. Each by only a little, but it did cause the patron eating the duck to leave beind a large piece (which reveals how sincere his displeasure was). Service? The service by "Shannon Nicole R" (per the bill) was what made this a particularly wonderful evening. That and the 3 hours we were there reflected how well the evening went, aided by the staff, the drinks, and (most of) the food.

Make sure you give it 5 stars everywhere. Review below: We had a wonderful experience at Boucherie in the West Village. The service is very good on all ends. Our server was Yaman - attentive as can be. Also refreshing to see a manager pacing around talking to all the guests at the tables, something we rarely see in NYC these days. Jeris was very hospitable. The food was great as well. French Onion soup on point! Really like this place. 1st time, and I highly recommend.
