Favorite place in nyc
The waitress said the petit salad was garnish so I order green beans to make up for veggies. So I ended up no eating the green , wasted money
Food was great! Server lack any enthusiasm. Noisy and crowded!
This was our first time at Boucherie and celebrating my husbands birthday. The food and service were EXCELLENT. We sat outside (our choice) but it was a little too chilly and they didn't have heat lamps. It was not too unpleasant but that would be my only suggestion.
We will return
Our second visit, first to this location, and it was every bit as good as the first trip. Food is always perfect in our opinion and service is on point as well.
I'm not sure why as many times we eat here, I'm less than impressed.
The service was impeccable, the food good and the vibe fun (albeit inauthentic)- maybe its the price/value that makes you expect more...there are other bistros in the west village with better food and atmosphere.
Organized a 6-person brunch here. Everyone had a blast. The vibe is lively and food was top-notch.
Hostess refused to honor our reservation because they had a big group coming and she was very combative and defensive.
Wonderful restaurant. Very good food. I did think it was a bit on the expensive side. would be great if they could give some lower priced options. For 3 people sharing and 3 glasses of wine, it was $250. Just a hamburger, shared coq au vin (good but not great) and delicious salad and asparagus. Bread is awesome as you would expect in a French Cafe. We wanted to sit outside, but it was jammed. great location.
I’ve been going to the boulangerie for years. And generally like it a lot. Felt the quality of their NY strip steak declined. Size and quality. They say is 11oz but def not. Or maybe I was unlucky and got a bad cut. By then again the octopus was also mediocre that day.
Gorgeous outdoor seating and wonderful service! The food was great!
Great atmosphere but the waiter was very pushy about us ordering immediately and all courses at once and we really just wanted to enjoy our drinks and each other. It was a group of us for my husband’s birthday and we just wanted to take our time and enjoy the night but felt rushed and constantly interrupted. It was frustrating for the group.
Nice fixture in the Village, but $50 for a very ordinary steak frites is pushing things.
My favorite French restaurant this side of the Atlantic for the food, ambiance, and the overall experience. Tonight we had the French onion soup, escargots, octopus, the strip steak, rib eye, and beef bourguignon - all cooked to perfection. The profiteroles and chocolate mouse were divine. Service was attentive as always.
Not worth it, save your money and go somewhere better for steak or somewhere with genuine french food. Not a single staff member here was actually French. Felt like a tourist trap. Totally over priced, mediocre food. Loud, bad service, had to chase waiter down for everything/
Amazing dinner! I recommend the raviolis aux champignons and drinks were great! Best creme brulee I’ve ever had!
Definitely will be returning!
Food was utterly meh. We had the mussels, but they were mushy and overcooked and had virtually no broth in the bowl; we didn’t even eat half of them. We also had the burger, and it was good, but nothing about which to write home. Fries were great tho!
The ambiance and the service was great! We wanted to love the food but it was just ok. Still it was nice to be able to eat indoor like somewhat normal!
Service was very rushed. Had not even finished appetizers before the food came out
Beautifully decorated restaurant, however we were seated too close to other guests to be comfortable, even though a table was placed between us and the table next to us.
Staff wasn’t genuinely friendly at the door. Wait staff made us feel rushed and kept asking if they could bring “anything else”. Escargot was “ok”- especially for $28. A very hurried experience for what was supposed to be a lunch date. I think they can do better at Boucherie.
The food was incredible! My boyfriend and I shared two different steaks and the filet mignon with truffle butter was melt-in-your-mouth amazing. Our waitress Zina (I hope that’s the spelling) was so fun and helpful too! We love Boucherie and will definitely be back!
Service was amazing. The drink selection was great. Food tasted great, but when I order a 21 ounce steak for $78 I don’t expect to be given such a little portion. I’ve been here before and ordered other things and have been very impressed by every other dish I’ve had, and a friend has ordered this dish before, but wow they did not serve me the correct amount at all. And they tried to hide it by putting an insane amount of greens on the plate it looked like I ordered a salad. I would recommend this restaurant, just not this dish.
Love the ambiance
The food and atmosphere were fantastic. Did feel a bit rushed at the beginning, though.
great place, food and service
they let you take your time, dont rush you
Over priced, noisy, not friendly hostess stand, food was just ok.
Boucherie is the kind of restaurant where the owners start by figuring out the price points they need to charge to make it worth running, and then work backwards into the menu, service and ambience required to make it seem like it is worth paying the price.
Unfortunately, the food is not special, the service is untrained and not closely managed, and the room is undistinguished.
Boucherie is simply not worth the very high prices, especially considering the truly excellent competitors in New York who have invested in superior food and professionally trained staff.
Notwithstanding Covid regulations, the West Village Boucherie was packed both indoors and outdoors. Service was prompt and efficient, and our three dinners (lamb, coq au vin, and moules frites) were all fine.
It was boys night. We got the jamon and duck salami. My boy was absolutely lucid. We got steak too - ok we be coming in again
Excellent food and overall very nice dining experience. Loved Boucherie !
Server Eric was great and outdoor seating wonderful!!!!
I went to brunch on Sunday with my daughter. She had the omelette which was outstanding it had goat cheese, spinach, and mushrooms in it and it was delicious. I had the Croque Madame And it was disappointing. I had asked to include the egg, but it was woefully under cooked. I don’t mind Sunny side up eggs but there was a lot of uncooked white; an objectional amount. The sandwich hadn’t been cooked long enough ;the ham and cheese in the middle were not warm at all, although they were not cold.
Waiter seemed irritated with us until we ran up the bill, then his attitude changed. Service was not attentive for the first half of our meal and dinner was served at separate times.
Great! Really enjoyed the food thought it was very good.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us, we look forward to serving you again!
Excellent food, service and wine in lovely atmosphere. Steaks were delicious. Celery root gratin exceptional as was the pate appetizer that we shared. Server gets A+.
Food was delicious and the service was great! Definitely recommend!
We are delighted you enjoyed your visit and look forward to welcoming you again!
They took two hours to bring out out main course. The waiters were not very clear.
Food was great, and so were the cocktails!
Love this place it’s our go to special night out great food great service. Been going for years beautiful interior get dressed up go treat yourself
