Service was slow and unattentive. Hostess was not welcoming and rude. Very impersonal.
Champagne was not as cold as it should be. Were never offered dessert
In spite of several empty tables, they sat another couple inches from our table.
Don’t think we will be back given the many alternatives there are to choose from.
Great food and service.
Got our food before our drinks and we only ordered rose to drink. Table next to us received three glasses per person before we got our first after several reminders. Server didn’t even come back to bring the check but our drink on although we pretty much received them with the check from the bus boy who was extremely nice.
No complaints on food. Good escargot and burgers.
Wonderful in every way. Highly recommend + must have La Vie en rose 🌹
My two tip was very cramped with the glass dividers. There was barely room for my arms to stick out, and it was hard to get in and out of the banquet seat. Please allow for more between tables upstairs
Our waiter Akin was fantastic. Very friendly, professional, funny and took great care of us. The ambiance of the restaurant is wonderful for dinner, the place feels roomy with tall ceilings, skylight, the option to sit indoors or outdoors. The music wasn’t too loud and you can hear your friends as you converse.
Our food was delicious, the pate, Mediterranean Sea bass, the rib-eye, the wagyu burger. The sorbets (raspberry and blood orange) were very tasty and 3 scoops each. Will definitely be back.
very nice service but long a wait time between appetizer and dinner - even for a French restaurant. (at least 45 min !)
The steak fritte was hanger or strip that was very tough - disappointing.
All wine by the glass ridiculously expensive. ($25!) That's absurd pricing.
But ambience is lovely. I'd still recommend for ambience alone.
More expensive than expected, food was good but not worthy for the price paid.
Food was okay. The outdoor seating was cramped and almost uncomfortable. We love french cuisine, but this was not the best. For the price, it was just okay.
Enjoyed the escargot!
I have been to other French restaurant before. This one was fun for a friend's birthday BUT the food portion was small and the prices was a bit too high for what we got. Pass!!
Beautiful ambiance, impeccable food, delightful service - the freshest most delicious meal I've enjoyed this summer. Would absolutely recommend and will return,
Tables are a bit tight so uncomfortable to get in and out of. But overall this was a great experience! Food and service excellent.
Es la segunda ves que voy, y si vuelvo a Nueva York, volvere
Me gusta mucho el lugar y la comida tambien.
Los mejillones y la carne tartara, espectaculares
We came to Boucherie West Village to celebrate my wife’s birthday with a group of friends. The service was amazing especially considering we were a large group of 8 people. The restaurant was very accommodating and made sure that we enjoyed the birthday celebration (they even brought out dessert with a candle in it and our server sang along). The food was cooked perfectly and great portion sizes as well. This wasn’t our first time at Boucherie and it certainly won’t be the last.
Food was good but unfortunately no one serves us bread. Value isn’t great, as it’s fairly expensive.
Fantastic food and very professional service. It was a joy to be there.
Great meal as always, felt very rushed by the waitstaff. Bit disappointed in the service
Was there for brunch. I ordered a croissant. The waitress shot back they don’t have croissants, as if I had ordered something that wasn’t on the menu. After 30 seconds of my looking puzzled, she added that they didn’t know when the truck would arrive.
I also ordered a cup of tea and it arrived half-filled with a side of milk that appeared watered down with things floating in it. A friend was treating me to brunch so I didn’t want to appear disgusted — but by that point I was disgusted.
What a large and completely charmless restaurant. Total garbage.
Fantastic spot for burgers, salads, cheese plates and wine.
We sat in the outdoor area, but it was adjacent to and integrated into the indoors, and did not really feel safe. The noise level was overwhelming, and loud enough to preclude our returning, even if we had thought that the food was very good, which we didn't. We ordered a Cornas from the wine list, and the waiter brought us a wine from the same producer, but from a lesser vineyard, and a different year. We had to change our wine order. The food was very expensive and only OK. The octopus appetizer was poor, the octopus had a spongy consistency, probably from freezing. The pate de campagna lacked oomph. The rack of lamb was good but not special, and the chicken was tasty but way overcooked. Our server was very good, helpful and well organized, but he had too many tables so the end result was slow service. There are many better choices for brasserie food in NYC.
Our first time dining here. Food was delicious. We ordered Escargot, grilled octopus, sea bass, and mushroom ravioli. Service was top-notch. Akin, our server, was attentive and friendly. Place has a great vibe. Definitely a spot we will come back to.
Our good friend’s birthda
Had a great experience here. The open airy feel of the place made my pal’s covid concerns ease quite a bit and they checked for vaccine card and Id. Food was delish. Service was good, though a tad spotty. Not really a complaint, just an observation . The manager came over to check on us a d she was lovely. Would go back in a heartbeat.
Experience was amazing ,great selection of wine friendly but professional stuff
We will back
Outstanding, delicious, impressive!
Excellent sunday afternoon @ Boucherie - Staff was uber attentive and the food was delicious. My table had the Steak Frites, Lamb, and Pork chops. All were super delicious
Delicious food, wonderful service. My water glass never got less than half full and everything was perfect!
Service at the bar was fantastic but waiter at the table was inattentive. Food was really good. Very loud environment.
Service was great food and drinks were amazing
Meh. Just meh. Niçoise salad completely lacked flavor. - very bland. (Tuna looked like it had been boiled, not seared.) Wine is overpriced. With so many options in the neighborhood, I wish we had gone somewhere else.
Wine list is overpriced as are the menu selections.
Maybe a good place to hang out with friends but not a good place for celebrate anniversary or impress your date. Ambience is too casual. Food is average, no better than local diner. Service was good though.
My new favorite place for dinner - amazing a million times over
The mushroom ravioli was insane (but everything was so good)
Tried very hard to like this place, and believe one can enjoy it with a few tips in advance. Walked past some great seating/ambience downstairs and were seated in a very dingy/stodgy upstairs booth (make sure you ask for table below).
Cocktails were very good - the Printemps was delicious (restaurant is known for absinthe).
Escargot appetizer had too much lemon that took away from the other flavors (isn't it just an excuse to have garlic butter!!). Ordered rare ribeye/strip steaks only to be warned by waiter that they needed more temperature to melt the fat. Insisted we say medium rare. Steaks came medium - far more cooked than we wanted.
Dessert of creme brulee almost rescued the evening - very tasty and perfect consistency.
If you go, hope you have a better experience. Enjoy!
Absolutely phenomenal from drinks to all the food. The butter placed on top of the filet was golden touch and the French onion soup to die for worth every penny!! My friends were satisfied with their entree and drinks as well. It was a very hot day so we switched over to indoor dining. I’ll definitely be back for some more!! Thank you to all the servers are very attentive
The only problem we had was the hostess. Very bad attitude.
Nice dining experience, great service times for a lunch break, and fun Restaurant Week specials to try - will be back. I do wish the song “Girl from Ipanema” hadn’t played three times during my 40-minute lunch, but other than that a nice meal and experience
