Wonderful service ambiance and food. Repeat customer and always happy. Thank you
Thank you for the continued support, we look forward to seeing you again!
Fancy bistro with overpriced food
We had a reservation for two on a Friday night. Despite the fact that we unfortunately were 15 minutes late the loveliest hosts gave us a table inside! Our server Aleksandar was very professional and polite! We ordered two cocktails, boucherie burger, and mushroom ravioli to share, and cream brûlée for dessert. Everything tasted incredible! The atmosphere was great and we enjoyed our night a lot! It was my first time in Boucherie and I am definitely coming back.
Thank you for sharing your experience, we are very happy to read you enjoyed your first visit and look forward to hosting you again!
We love this restaurant and visit at least once each week at this location or the one around the corner. The food and ambiance is wonderful. Feels like I’m back in France. On this visit we had the Lyonnaise salad, beef bourguignon and a side of the amazing Celery Root Gratin. We are still talking about how perfect all these dishes were and especially loved the unique celery root gratin. Great for keto / low carb diets. The beef was just delicious. Can’t wait to come back this week.
Great service! Cold due to Covid. Our salad was very delicious. Would go back!
Great service and hospitality.
My teenage daughter and her friend went there on Valentine's Day afternoon. For 2 girls who have not been to a restaurant in months, they did not disappoint. They said the food was delicious and they were given a gorgeous book as a thank you for patronizing the restaurant during the pandemic. They felt very warm sitting outside. Thank you!
Truthfully, we had higher expectations. Valentines day is also my birthday, my boyfriend and I had read great things about boucherie, looked at the menu and photos and were very excited to go! We made the reservations at least a month in advance with no issues. When we arrived, we were seated in the area that is outside with covering which we were fine with, however the issue was the table size itself. It was smaller than the width of our bodies. There were other larger tables and so we asked if we could be moved to one of those but they said that's all they had available (even though we saw those tables open with no one sitting there. On the website when booking we were not given an option of different table size so I am not sure how they make the determination who gets those. The table was so tight that when the waiter brought our drinks, the bread and the appetizer, there simply was not enough room and he ended up spilling some of the drink on the bread when trying to place it down. Whatever, we were still looking forward to the food itself. The appetizer we got (steak tartar) was delicious, we thoroughly enjoyed. The main course however, also disappointing. We each got the steak and pom frites (steak and fries) and the meat itself was not what one would expect at a higher quality restaurant. My cut was 50% fat, the meat was undercooked from what I had requested (medium well but it was entirely rare on the inside) and the taste of the meat itself was just not good. It could have been an off day but I doubt we will return to Boucherie :(
Absolutely disappointed. I come there waiter rushes me to order the whole order before my partner even arrives, she did not even give me the time to call her and ask her what she wanted. Starters and mains kept coming all together without space, i was not even half done with my plate and waiter had the balls to come and ask me if she should bring the desert. Bare in mind, the food is OK, nothing great, alot of work needs to be done out here because this was very bad experience.
Overpriced. Cramped outdoor seating. Food not the best. Wouldn’t go a second time
Early Valentine’s Day brunch. Was such a wonderful experience. Great food, service, ambiance. Highly recommend.
We absolutely loved our dinner at Le Boucherie! First, I cannot say enough about the level of care taken to comply with Covid restrictions and still make it a lovely evening. Additionally, the staff were truly A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. If permissible I would have hugged everyone there who made us feel like a valuable part of the experience, rather than just serving us. Which they did, with professional levels of a 5-star Parisian restaurant. I had the sea bass - oh the infusion of fresh fennel, winter squash and cherry tomato was refreshing. My husband had the strip steak with pomp frites - the meat was extremely high quality and cut like butter. The even got the temperature of the meat perfect, per request. Tarte Tartin was dessert - a beautifully presented individual serving with the best vanilla ice cream. My only request would have been to have this a little on the warm side. However, given Covid and the open air requirements, I wasn't about to complain. It was delicious cool anyway! I also want to mention, our server, Alexis was wonderful. She was so knowledgeable about not only the menu but the wines. Extra plus, the entire support service staff were attentive and friendly too.
Outdoor dining was a little chilly but pretty good overall
The service was horrible the waiter took forever to bring us drinks and to take our order. Then we couldn’t find him for the check. The burger I ordered medium was rare and I was very sick that night. Will not be returning.
Boucherie took all of the precautions we were looking for in an outdoor dining restaurant in the winter. Windows for ventilation at each table, ample spacing, online menu and heaters. The steak tartare was delicious and so was the la vie en rose cocktail! Thanks for having us!
It was our pleasure to host you, we look forward to seeing you again Meghan! Thank you for the kind words.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Boucherie West Village’s outdoor dining annex despite the cold. The food and service were outstanding.
Thank you Reini, hope to see you again soon!
Lovely meal in a lovely outside setting. The ambiance was beautiful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for outside dining during the pandemic. The food was delicious and service top-notch. Can’t wait to visit again!
Thank you so much Michelle, we look forward to hosting you again soon!
Phenomenal food, great service. Can’t wait to go back! My all time fav ravioli with truffle shavings!
We are happy you loved the ravioli, Aimey! Thank you for joining us, we hope to see you soon!
The food was absolutely delicious. I got the duck leg confit and it was the tastiest duck dish I'd ever had. The wine was overpriced, but expected from a French restaurant in the West Village. The main thing that irked me was the Covid regulation compliance... to say we were dining "outdoors" would have been a stretch. The tables are very close, though there are barriers, but they're all enclosed within four permanent-looking walls, essentially expanding the whole restaurant. If you're okay with that, this is a great pick... You won't be cold or have to deal with wind! However, I was a little nervous. The staff was very good about masking obviously, but it is still something to consider if you're trying to be more strict with your Covid risk-taking these days.
Everything was delicious as always
Excellent as always! Thank you
Thank you for your rating! Looking forward hosting you again soon!
It was nice to find a place with inside 'outside' dining. They do have heaters. I have to say though.... $11.50 for 2 tiny demitasse espressos after lunch was a bit jarring. $12.00 for a draught beer is also excessive. But...at least they are open and serving so....good for them.
What they did for my friend tonight was just perfect!! Birthday girl !!!
The service was perfect.
Food as well can’t wait to go back
Thank you for the kind words, we are delighted that it was perfect birthday dinner!
Wonderful outdoor dining option during COVID. We were warm enough, compared to another cafe across the street. We had the steak sandwich and salmon with winter vegetables. Both were delicious!!
Hi Alexa, we are so glad to hear you loved our steak sandwich and salmon, we agree, it is delicious. We hope to have you back in soon!
Great cocktails and food! The ambiance was great during COVID, if you’re comfortable with the “outdoor” dining scene. We had the steak tartar, steak sandwich and the croque monsieur, which were all delicious. The cocktails really stood out, especially their house old fashioned. Highly recommend.
Thank you for the kind words! We look forward to seeing you again!
Amazing!! Love the place
Thank you for the kind words! We cant wait to be amazing again, and host you!
Terrific, great outdoor heated seating. Delicious, friendly, great night out during a pandemic!
This is our second time in the past 6 months. I truly enjoy the ambience and the food.
Hi Diana, thank you so much for your glowing review! We look forward to hosting you again soon!
Great service, great food! We'd go back again. Appreciated the attention to cleanliness given COVID.
Hi Jspython, thank you for dining with us! Please follow along with our social media for updates about our restaurants. We look forward to hosting you again soon!
Gorgeous outdoor setup but the food was subpar and overpriced. I ordered a steak, which I thought would be one of their signature dishes (it’s called “boucherie,” after all), cooked rare. It came out cooked medium rare and the interior was brown - not because it was overcooked, but because the meat was clearly not fresh. Disappointing.
great food. fantastic service. safe environment. what else can we ask for
Hi Jason, Thank you for your kind words. Looking forward to hosting you again!
Food and service were really very good. It was a pleasurer to find a warm terrace in NYC. Have been to many that are extremely cold to enjoy. We were even able to take our jackets off which made enjoying the great boeuf bourguignon even better.
Thank you Flavio for the nice words! Looking forward hosting you soon again!
Had a joyful birthday dinner with my mom and daughter! The staff made sure that we were comfortable and taken care of. Food is excellent. At the end of the meal, the staff presented me with a gift and that was a really sweet gesture. Definitely coming back for more!
Hello Adsqueen, we are delighted that you enjoyed your dinner! We cant wait to host you again, and find a way to surprise you again!
This is always one of my favorite places to eat in the West Village, if not NYC in general. I've never had anything but a great meal, excellent service, and a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!
Went for brunch and it’s the ideal outdoor dining set up. Will definitley go back!
One of my favorite places for dinner! Service is always impeccable...outdoor dining setup is lovely and warm
Soups were less than stunning - chunks of meat were found and not generally an ingredient you find often in classic French onion soup. $17/bowl - should be perfection. Fries were blah. Went for a date night snack and left with a $225 bill for 3 soups and a bottle of wine. Waitress however was spectacular.
Birthday lunch. Was very airy with windows Oort. Felt safe
