We have heard of this place and finally had this chance to check it out. We made a reservation for 1:15on a Sunday. They were fairly busy but we may not have needed the reservation for our party of 3. The host and server were friendly and prompt. We started with two shareable items, Mac and cheese and the brussel sprouts. LOVED THEM BOTH! I could have made either of them my meal. We browsed the little store while we waited for our food and the team member there was knowledgeable and friendly. Lunch came and it was just as good as the starters. One burger, one chicken salad sandwich and the fried chicken. All were beautifully displayed, the right temp and delicious. Sorry there are no pictures we we're hungry so we just started eating! Our server recommend the bread pudding and it did not disappoint! We will be back and bring friends!
We always enjoys Bottle and Bond
Beautiful Facility! Great food great service a four star restaurant in Bardstown! One of the best bourbon menus I’ve ever seen!
If you are on an economy budget this is not for you. With a drink or two each and dinner figure hundred dollars per head with tip....but the quality is worth it!!
We definitely will be back!!!
We had a 6:30 reservation. They got us seated right away. We had a brand new waiter that said it was his second day in the job. It took 3 separate waiters to open a bottle of wine and no wine pouring training at all. Food was great. Need more employee training. We didn’t get out of the restaurant until almost 10pm. It took forever to get food. We ordered a salad and it was HUGE. Would have been nice to have had a warning on that. Also after we finished our salads, plates were left on the table for at least 30 minutes. Overall great place. Just need more training.
Food was not a good value. Got the $90 steak and was not “wowed”. Friends got salmon which was good but for the price I would expect that. Drinks were fine but overall I don’t plan to go back. Way too expensive for what they serve. One word to describe my experience would be disappointed.
Staff to determined to remove wares from table. Staff reached over under and in between which interrupted conversation and dinner.
However I would tell them to ask for a table on other side from the DJ. Our server was great!
When my party arrived there were two larger parties (8 and 10) seated at the far end of the restaurant and no one else. The hostess tried to seat us not 3 feet away from the two large parties, despite an otherwise empty room. We had to ask to be moved. We were then rushed to give a drinks order and waited 20 minutes to receive the drinks. Our orders were taken in the meantime and arrived about 30 minutes later. Our meals were switched by the wait staff and one patron ate a rare salmon, which they hated and another ate a well done salmon which they hated. Nothing was said because our party had already complained about the table. Until it was too late, it never occurred to us that the orders had been swapped. The fish was covered with a sauce that tasted like pure maple syrup. Veggies and cornbread were delicious. This could be a very nice restaurant, but the service needs a lot of work. For $50 per person for lunch, I wouldn’t return. The single barrel bourbon old fashioned, however, was the best ever tried.
The food is always delicious. The service was a little slow this time. We ordered appetizers and the server never came back around, so we motioned her over to put in our food order. Our reservation was at noon and they were not busy when we got there, but it took a very long time for our burgers to come out.
Very nice place. It was extremely relaxed and a great place to try any kind of bourbon you can think of. Great food and atmosphere. Definitely a go to destination in Bardstown.
Our server was FANTASTIC!! The food, for the most part, was outstanding. This was our first time visiting and we will return.
We had a fabulous experience at first time at B and B! The sweetest waitress ever! Good food, nice atmosphere. Treated like royalty. Definitely coming back and bringing friends.
We love eating at Bottle & Bond. The cocktails are great and the food is wonderful. This is our favorite restaurant in Bardstown.
Awesome experience for our anniversary food was great and service was excellent!
Evelyn was fantastic and made the entire event special. She’s a great server and ambassador
This venue is a shining star for the “new” Bardstown. After taking in all the rich history and heritage of downtown Bardstown, the nearby traditional distilleries, and the beautiful countryside, Bottle and Bond Kitchen and Bar at Bardstown Bourbon Company was a blast of newly minted elegance. But, it’s not all show and no go. The food is delicious. The bar menu was extensive, but our group never got beyond the Barrel Aged Old Fashions - they were just too good! The service was very, very good. We were warmly greeted. Ellyn provided a great tasting room experience prior to dinner. Michelle was a super server. We will return!
Huge portion of fries. Member of our group thought the tomato soup was best he's ever had. Every appetizer was great. Excellent fried chicken and grilled chicken sandwich. Went and had a tasting of their bourbon (was free w/ generous portions) while waiting for our meal. Cocktails seemed to take a while to make and we were there during a very slow period of the day.
We had a lovely Mother's Day meal at Bottle & Bond. The ambience can't be beat in Bardstown or Etown. There was a trio playing, all the ladies received a yellow rose, and the decor is very classy yet comfortable. We got fried oysters and grilled cheese sticks with tomato soup for dipping. Everyone agreed the tomato soup was the best they ever had. We had two young kids with us and the staff was great with them and with the couch on one side of the table, they had room to move around. We had fried chicken, salmon, mashed potatoes and cornbread. It was all good, fried chicken was juicy but the cornbread was the biggest hit. One of us had a boozy banana bourbon milkshake...it was so good everyone had to give it a try! Don't be discouraged by the industrial look as you're arriving. This is a hidden gem!
Wonderful place - limited menu selections but delicious!
Highlight of our three day trip on the bourbon trail.
Food was amazing. Drinks were amazing. Service was amazing. Best food I've had in a restaurant in memory.
Don't forget the tasting in the gift shop, and don't miss the petrified moss wall.
It happened to be Mother's Day, so there was live music (violins etc) being played from a balcony above us and the women got roses when they came in the door.
Great food and atmosphere. Service was very poor this time.
What a wonderful surprise to find this gem of a combination of great food and excellent cocktails
Love the atmosphere, but food was average this visit. Several of the entrees were lukewarm and did not seem to be prepared to order. Soft drinks are poured from cans and were flat and had an awful flavor like there was something wrong with it.
Very limited menu. No frozen bar drinks. Prices were expensive. Could have gotten the same meal anywhere else for less than half the price. Very disappointed
Love this place! Good food and specialty drinks. Met one of the owners (David) and the architect who built designed this beautiful facility while we were there. Everyone is so friendly! My husband was thrilled to get a bottle he bought signed by the master distiller, while we were there this weekend. Went twice since the couple we were traveling with wanted to go back for their Old Fashions♥️
Loved the staff, especially Candy and Sam!
We were excited to try this new distillery and restaurant unfortunately the service and food did not meet our expectations. We were here for a quick lunch between tours. First we ordered the Brussels sprouts and there was two pieces of “ham” in it. I have never experienced this before when it is advertised with ham/meat in the dish. Then we ordered the 2007 17-year Eagle Rare and we were served the original/normal eagle rare. We even clearly stated 17-year eagle rare. We have not been able to find the 17-year anywhere and were extremely excited to finally try it. Then we ordered the brisket sandwich and the brisket was cold and fatty. Needless to say we won’t be coming back. I understand that this is a new place and new servers but if you are going to advertise as the “Napa experience” in bourbon country then please raise your standards and train your staff. Especially when you have very rare whiskey available for purchase.
Food was mediocre. Service good but not exceptional. Only outstanding item was the bourbon old fashion. I won’t go back.
Great restaurant in a very cool bourbon location. It has a very hip vibe and is welcoming. The food was delicious!
We really enjoyed our lunch on the Sunday after Derby. We were seated immediately, & although the drinks took awhile to get to us, they were delicious, as was the food. Our server was personable & attentive. We will definitely go back next year with our guests!
We loved everything about this place! The drinks were amazing, as was the food. There were three of us and we decided to order three appetizers and share. We were so full that we had no room left for the bread pudding with bourbon sauce. Will definitely be back!
Poor service, left unattended for far too long. The food was ok, that's all. The French fries were delicious, the hamburger was over cooked with too much bread in the bun, the dessert was tough. I specifically asked for a medium, very pink center hamburger, It was brown all the way through. I don't think the waitress paid any attention. She was not good. The place was 50% full and she couldn't have been that busy. Its a pretty restaurant. I have eaten there before and the food was good. It is an expensive restaurant and the food should be good every time.
Our issue was that they advertise they are open for full service and yet they were out of one of the dishes that they are known for-the Brussels sprouts. They only had enough to make two orders and they said they had already been ordered and served by the time we sat down for our reservation made two days prior.
My thought on this is that if you are going to charge what you charge for the food and ambiance then you should not be out of your everyday dishes at 11:30 am on a Sunday when you have reservations coming in
I love the ambiance here and the food we had was great but it was disappointing to not get the one dish we wanted to try at our table of 8.
In addition, I thought the website said open sundays for brunch so I expected they might have breakfast foods and not just their normal menu. I was wrong and the guests from out of town were let down that breakfast items or at least breakfast like dishes were not available.
I may have read the website incorrectly on that though
It was late, after a busy derby day- service was slow but they made up for it. Delicious food!
Wow. I was not expecting such an amazing experience. Very well done from the Bourbon tasting to the food. Don't miss this place if you are near.
Took too long for our party to get waited on. They could not decide which waiter we had.
Then one of our party had fried chicken which was very good but the French fries that came with order where greatly over salted. So, send them back to be replaced. Another one of our party order the New York strip medium rare and when it came out it was over cooked so they took it back. His replacement came out way after all the other parties had completed their meal. His steak was very good he said. But the point is that it took so long and during this time no one from Management or the kitchen came out to apologize.
They did not charge him for his meal which was the only ++ for the evening.
I have eaten there before and it has always been excellent and this time was no exception. I have told several people how good this restaurant is and they should try it and I will continue to do so.
Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere. Will definitely return.
Second visit for us, brought OOT guest for Derby weekend. Food was great! Guest was impressed. We’ll be back! Thanks. Rosemary
A definite gem in Bardstown. We visited on Oaks day. The service was outstanding. Our order was prompt and our food and drinks were great. We will return.
