The host, Teddy, was amazing. So courteous, so friendly, so accommodating!
Always good always fresh
Excellent food and service!! Staff was very friendly
I always enjoy coming to Bottino. The staff is friendly and I have always enjoyed the food and sitting on the patio.
This was our first time dining at this restaurant at the recommendation of friends. We were entertaining guests from out of the country and needed a restaurant in the Chelsea/Hudson Yards area.
We were lucky to have been seated in the garden, which we requested. It was a lovely quiet dining area. The service was prompt and attentive without being pushy. The menu had just enough of everything to please everyone. The antipasti platter, mostly meats, was fabulous, as were the lamb chops. We enjoyed our dining experience and will return.
Had dinner for 7 on Saturday. Weather was lovely and we sat outside which was quite pleasant and quiet. I have been here a few times and the service has always been good and the food well prepared.
We dined in the garden where on delicious salmon, pastas and wine. The food was great and the cocktail —Viviani? Was delicious. Staff Teddy and Tony were extremely attentive and helpful. We highly recommend this place and will return.
It was a treat to be waited on by the owners sister, enjoy beautiful weather on the outdoor patio and to talk with the owner at the end of the night.
Consistently great food!
Requested to sit in the garden and was accommodated. The garden is lovely. Would recommend sitting inside if a quiet ambiance is more your speed, though we didn’t mind the noise at all.
Delicious appetizer and dessert choices. Get the cacio pepe pasta!
Only complaint is that our server was quite slow and we had to wait long intervals to order drinks, food, dessert, and the bill. Those around us had different servers and their meals seemed to move quicker than our table.
The staff was wonderful
Bottino is on the very short list of solid, delicious, perfectly run NY restaurants that manage to keep on going. The room has recently been updated and it's wonderful looking. The menu has changed slightly and it's all for the good. Nothing wrong with what was but the new dishes are terrific. And the place is one of the most gorgeous interiors in New York. I never get tired of going here.
We had a beautiful spot in the garden and it was the best bowl of pasta I’d ever had.
Bottino is very good. The food and service were just fine and some dishes distinguished. We came at 6 and sat inside, which became very loud as the place filled up. The lovely garden would be easier on the ears.
Fantastic neighborhood spot in Chelsea with outdoor space. Classic Italian menu, nice wine list.
My friends and I were so impressed with the menu and the service and felt so comfortable as we were also having a meeting as well! This is the place for any foodie and we can not wait to come back!
Service was slow. Would have had more wine...but it was still a very good experience!
It was a perfect night to sit outside. The patio is lovely and quiet. I do not think we would have enjoyed it nearly as much sitting inside as we were a group of six and the patio area allowed us to visit nicely.
Have loved Bottino for EVER. Love that is has no music. One of the few NYC places you can talk in.
Food was good, but the portions are very small. Seems unusual particularly for a pasta dish.
Food is terrific, service is cordial and efficient. Depending on where you sit, it can get noisy. Have been here many times, because of convenient location. Nice spot overall...
I have been to Bottino many times and enjoyed the food and the atmosphere but this time was very disappointing. My husband and I ate slimey sardines which I'm sure came out of a jar, octopus which was dry and I ordered pig cheeks which were glutinous and overly, clawing and sweet. The zucchini fritters were heavy, burnt and inedible.
I ate the food without complaint because I was entertaining a client and didn't want to embarrass him. He left his starter as it was so unpleasant.
I can't imagine what happened here. I did notice that the dining room was unusually quiet. I won't go back unless just for a drink.
I’ve had delicious food here in the past, but something was off last night. Salmon was to be medium rare, yet came cooked all the way through. The owner insisted on re-doing my order, and the replacement was much better. The wait was a bit awkward for my business guest who refused to eat until my dish came... then his was cold. Salad was excellent, but broccoli rabe left something to be desired. Neighboring tables seemed to be having some issues too.
Hope they get their act together again ... to match the great service and ambience!
The staff here are friendly and the food is good. I had a much better meal the first time I was here, however, and hopefully I will get a better experience next time I visit.
This is a wonderful local restaurant that I have dined at a few times before. We enjoyed the rack of lamb and the whole branzino entrees. The lamb was cooked perfectly as was the fish, and the fish presentation was impressive. We also enjoyed an untraditional bruschetta and a chocolate tiramisu. Would definitely return and hopefully sit in the garden on a nice day!
Had to sit in the bar area due to an event. Missed the garden. Pork cheeks were delish!!!
The waitress was amazing. Knowledgeable and friendly.
Absolutely love this restaurant and the staff were all incredibly helpful and kind.
Great energy all around.
My girlfriend and I ended up being the last ones there and no one pushed or bothered us to leave. They allowed us to truly stay in the moment we were having and enjoy our time with each other and at the establishment.
Thank you Bottino!!!
Thank you so much for your positivity and hope to see you again soon!
Love love love the outdoor patio and gardens. Food was good but branzino had bones. Impossible to eat
Thanks Sandra! Sorry you struggled with the branzino - it is served whole on the bone. I hope next time we will have more fish options for you -- the salmon is excellent and we usually have a second fish available as well. Grateful for your review, and hope to see you again soon!
This is, and has been for many years, my favorite restaurant in NYC but the new chef's menu is creating a real problem for me: with just 5 choices of appetizer, but only 3 available, and just 5 entree choices, with only 4 available, that isn't the standard I have learned to expect. Maybe the fact that there were so few customers could be an indication that there is something wrong? I would be devastated if this restaurant goes away. PLEASE FIX THE MENU.
The food is delicious and the service very accommodating. I did not care for the first wine choice and our server suggested a great alternative which I thoroughly enjoyed. The servings are generous and well balanced. The garden is a haven in this busy city.
Ok for a moderately priced dinner in Chelsea. Nice server, food ok but nothing remarkable
Very limited menu
Great evening, friendy and attentive staff and a fantastic menu.
Worth a trip, especially if you're in the neighborhood.
The food has been better, maybe an off night? The steak had gristle & the salmon was ok. Having said that the pasta was melt in your mouth good. Definitely ask your server for their recommendation.
The food and atmosphere (the garden) were really good. Our waiter could not have
been better. Excellent!
Excellent neighborhood place with great food but like many places the sound quotient is much too high. One has to arrive early or late to have a more comforting setting to match the really terrific food which has improved - new menu items well prepared. Nice and reasonably priced wine list. Overall worth it in many ways!
Service VERY slow
