Lovely evening. Can’t wait for garden to open.
Great ambiance ok food.
I’ve been going to Bottino for over 17 years. The ambiance is excellent especially the garden. The food is just so so. I always want the food to be better but it rarely is. Still worth a trip for the ambiance especially in summer.
Lovely dinner. Very pretty on the patio we went early so the noise level was quiet. Very good value for the food. Ravioli was delicious.
13 people - food came out at one time. Service was helpful & timely. Food was delicious. Wine suggestion was perfect
After an afternoon of seeing exhibitions at Chelsea galleries we decided to relax and have a meal and enjoy time to reflect on the day. Bottino is a solid restaurant that always guarantees delicious food, great ambiance and impeccable service. We were not disappointed.
Nothing special about the place
Excellent value for the price and quality of the food
The food was delicious! All four in our party were pleased with their choices. Wait staff was accommodating, but not intrusive.
The waiter was so entertaining and fun. Thanks for a fun time.
Always a good bet for an excellent meal in a buzzy room.... but the service was all over the place. The waiters seem unable (forbidden?) to clear plates off the table (our waitress came over and said "I see you are finished. I'll have someone clear for you", and walked off. It was another 5 minutes before someone came to clear). We had to ask twice for bread. The group at the table next to us told (the same waitress) that their wine glasses were dirty and they waited awhile until someone else (maybe the manager or sommelier) came over with clean glasses.. by then their main courses were already on the table. (I am aware of this because they expressed their displeasure loud enough to be heard). This is such an institution and it's not that hard to step up the game.
We frequent Bottino all the time and love it. The only thing is that they bring out the courses too fast so you may want to ask them to slow it down a bit. Otherwise the food and service are great and the prices are reasonable too.
Fantastic staff, friendly, approachable, professional and efficient, however the food was a poor imitation of Italian food, sloppy and poorly presented and un interesting. The wine selection was also very bland. Not a great night.
One of my favorite places - a special thanks to David who makes sure that all guests are accommodated. When I am in NYC, I make sure to have at least one meal here (either with clients or friends).
Great experience at Bottino. Had a show at the Mckittrick hotel and had to grab a quick bite prior .... David the bartender who wore Many hats greeted us new customers with the warmest welcome, rightfully suggested apps and entrees and served our party in an Expeditious fashion so we didn’t miss our show ! Great energy all around Bottino ! Def returning again !
Excellent food with a good selection of wines by the glass and bottle.
Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the ambience. The service was very good. A little more green on the plate would be nice.
Everything was excellent. Would highly recommend Bottino
Used to like but food was honestly terrible to blah. Ordered bruschetta, soup, tuna tartare and the bolognese. Soup and pasta edible and some
Flavor but forgettable. Sad this restaurant has gone so downhill.
Great little spot with delicious selections of food. Everything we ordered was prepared and cooked perfectly. The antipasto to start was a very good choice. Lamb cola, pasta and fish were enjoyed by all for entrees. Dessert was decadent. Definitely will be going back!
place looks good since the renovation.
Suggestion: add some acoustical panels on the ceiling of the main dining room. It will help.
Fabulous server and great food! We saw in covered porch area which felt like a lovely summer garden. Lasagna was delicious!
Nice meal, good service, we’d return.
Absolutely fantastic Italian Sunday Brunch for 7 people. Every dish was delicious. The server was helpful with appropriate recommendations. Very charming. Very nice interior. We could all have conversations and hear everyone. Good prices. The perfect brunch!!! Thank you!!!
based on the reputation, I expected something a little more over the top, but our experience of Bottino was refreshingly down to earth. Fairly basic Italian menu--but the food itself was terrific. Lasagna was as good as I've had. We went on a very cold Tuesday night--the crowd was moderate, the atmosphere and service extremely warm. For the overall quality of the experience, the price is very reasonable--I highly recommend it.
Good menu, food is well prepared. Ambiance is somewhat stark, but comfortable. Good wine list. Staff is friendly and attentive. Good value.
Food is always consistently good. Reasonable prices and friendly service.
Great Italian restaurant in Chelsea. I have eaten here dozens of times and never had a bad experience. The Lamb chops are the best in Manhattan.
Delicious, fresh food beautifully prepared with personalized service at very reasonable prices. Very nice wine list, too.
We’ve been to this restaurant a number of times. Every meal was fantastic. The waitstaff is attentive, friendly and engaging without being overbearing. I would highly recommend Bottino.
Great place and delicious food. It definitely exceeded my expectations.
Neighborhood place with good food (the branzino is highly recommended).
Terrific dinner...nice team that makes it all the more enjoyable!
This place has been a favorite for a long time and still is. The staff couldn't be nicer making you feel like family. And the food is consistently delicious .
The restaurant donated a certificate to Madison Boys and Girls Club of which I won with other restaurant certificates- took my daughter (12) at an early time 6:30pm - everyone was super nice, accommodating and the food was great. I am coming back with friends!!! really liked it and you can find a street parking space!
Hits on all casters great food, service, and atmosphere. I’m celiac and loved their GF options
Very pleasantly surprised! Much enjoyed by all in our party! Will definitely go again.
Good Chelsea art scene standby. The food has improved since last time I was there. Nice ambiance although sometimes the staff can't help but let you know that they are more important than you. Still, it is a neighborhood standby and we are happy it is there.
The spot was buzzing, the food was spot on, the service was impeccable (and patient.....which is always appreciated). The server was knowledgeable about the intricacies of the wine list, and the suggestions regarding specials were great.
Bottino IS where New York eats. The REAL New York. While the people who dine at Bottino span a broad spectrum of demographics, they all seem to resemble the global-minded New Yorker with whom I identify. The food, the energy, the service, the cocktails, the environment and of course the people flowing in and out of this time-tested-treasure are nothing short of delicious in every way.
looking for a late night dinner that wasn't particularly "heavy". The food was perfect. We had an appetizer of heirloom tomatoes and burrata which was delicious...followed by fettucini with lobster and shrimp in a light tomato sauce (perfect). If you're in Chelsea visiting some art galleries, stop in for a delicious lunch or dinner.
