Bottino Ratings and Reviews
The restaurant donated a certificate to Madison Boys and Girls Club of which I won with other restaurant certificates- took my daughter (12) at an early time 6:30pm - everyone was super nice, accommodating and the food was great. I am coming back with friends!!! really liked it and you can find a street parking space!
Good Chelsea art scene standby. The food has improved since last time I was there. Nice ambiance although sometimes the staff can't help but let you know that they are more important than you. Still, it is a neighborhood standby and we are happy it is there.
Bottino IS where New York eats. The REAL New York. While the people who dine at Bottino span a broad spectrum of demographics, they all seem to resemble the global-minded New Yorker with whom I identify. The food, the energy, the service, the cocktails, the environment and of course the people flowing in and out of this time-tested-treasure are nothing short of delicious in every way.
looking for a late night dinner that wasn't particularly "heavy". The food was perfect. We had an appetizer of heirloom tomatoes and burrata which was delicious...followed by fettucini with lobster and shrimp in a light tomato sauce (perfect). If you're in Chelsea visiting some art galleries, stop in for a delicious lunch or dinner.
I’ve dined here several times with family and friends. Their Filet Mignon melts in your mouth. Never had a complaint until now. The restaurant struggles to operate under busy service. Our table was c-o-m-p-l-e-t-e-l-y ignored and the food came raw. “Medium well” is not rare.
We stopped by last night with a tight window to eat and b out in time for an evening show. The ladies that greeted & seated us assured us they could accommodate our schedule. Wonderful meal, bottle of wine, friendly staff that helped us with our selections and they got us out in time for 7:00 Sleep no More. Home run !!
Millie Grazie Bottino for a lovely meal.
Fresh fish, particularly well prepared meat dishes, good wine. It all blended well together.
The imported waiters need to be better trained before being let loose for service.
The owners (Danny & Lauren?) are right there watching all with a sharp eye.
A Saturday that was too cool to sit outside became an inside table in a noisy room, albeit a happy noise, not a disturbing one. People had sincere smiles and laughter, not the "Did you notice me?" laughter.
I would venture back on a week night and if the weather allows for outdoor seating... perfect.
I have loved Bottino for years and was delighted to return recently and find it even better. They have done various renovations and it looks much the same (stylish, simple, contemporary but warm) but better.
The food is delicious, fresh and simple. There is good variety on the menu, but they also retain some of the old favorites for us long-time clients.
The staff is always efficient and friendly. In my humble opinion, a sign of a well run restaurant is how long the waiters stay, and at Bottino I love catching up with some of the staff that have been working there as long as I have been going.
From the street it looked empty. When we went in we discovered the dining area at the back of the building with most of the tables taken. Excellent server, not pushy, very polite and efficient. Good wine selection and food was very tasty. Wife and I had a very enjoyable evening meal here.
Excellent service from the bartender who suggested a seat up front since the dining room was too loud for us. We had a very comfortable table at the front and had a great meal with great service , excellent food from a shared salad, two entrees and a very delicious dessert! A neighborhood fave rave!
This restaurants a joke
Three friends said it was very good
Food was very tasty
However, they took a 9:30pm reservation knowing the kitchen closes at 10pm???
