made the reservation on open table 1.5 hours prior to our outing and were seated swiftly by a friendly hostess. the waiting staff was very attentive but not overbearing. fritto misto was really well prepared, very light and flavorful, great lamb, but the linguini with scallops really stole the show. we were sitting in the garden with a large party carrying on nearby, therefore the noise level was a bit high. overall, a great experience, we'll be back!
The new chef is fantastic. We’ve been eating at bottino for years and it’s never been better
Not as good as it used to be.
The dishes are honest and fresh. The staff is very solicitous but doesn’t rush you. I brought tourists from abroad, who are used to linger a bit longer and nobody came to give hints it was time to leave, as it so happens in NY
The room was too cold , found a hair in my cocktail and the soup was Lukewarm.
Despite of all that I will go back, because the food is delicious and stuff just happens!
Excellent, consistent and quality offerings. Very pleasant environment and great service.
My Opening at my gallery... several years in a row.... thank you Bottino
Always a great meal in a wonderful space. That's why I keep coming back.
As it was our first time at Bottino, the waiter made excellent recommendations. All four of us were extremely happy with our meal, which was complemented with a lovely wine.
Great restaurant. I ordered the steak and it was amazing!
I loved the old menu. This menu leaves very little choices and the salad with chicken is now ridiculously insulting and skimpy. Not worth the money any longer
Loved the food, atmosphere and service. The greeter ( wished I could remember her name) was so sweet she said she had a party last night with roses left over that looked good and she put them on my table! For free~ who does that? I think that was super thoughtful. We were celebrating my 2 children's birthdays and I loved that she did that.
Ross, our waiter, was great! So very attentive, constantly on top of everyone's needs, loved him!
They both deserve recognition.....and a raise!
Thank you for making this celebration fantastic!
Delicious cocktails and home made pastas. The tagliatelle was divine.
A neighborhood favorite. I always enjoy this place as the food is consistent and the staff very friendly.
Kitchen closes at 10:00 pm but last reservation option is 9:45. We had 5 minutes to make a decision on the menu and we’re rushed.
Bar closes at 10:30 pm. Wouldn’t even serve wine. They were turning on the lights and cleaning the floors to get us out !! Food was great If we had more than 30 minutes to dine
Wonderful food. Bottino is back. Excellent service and ambience. We return to Bottino whenever we are downtown for gallery openings- or for any way that we can find a reason to visit.
Sat in the garden for a perfect NYC night in a great setting! Our friends from Spain were blown away.
Wish that some items on old menus were still available. The new menu? Euh
The food here is consistently good. Have never had a bad dish, and the menu "regulars" are always tasty. Service is a little distracted, but cheerful. Great location for us.
Had to wait too long to get seated. Menu choice was very limited especially if you are vegetarian. We seated outside and had leaves/flakes on the table. However the waiter was outstanding and polite. Made up for the lack of choices.
I no longer like the lunch menu and the portion size was insulting
Been going for years – since it opened – but it has now become intolerable. I cannot believe that Open Table would take reservations when tables were crammed in so tightly that it was impossible to make ones way in or out, attract a waiter or hear oneself over the deafening noise. On a Monday (non-gallery) night! I'm done. Will never eat there again.
The host, Teddy, was amazing. So courteous, so friendly, so accommodating!
Nice place, good food and not too crowded or noisy at lunch time. Nice to see the lovely garden even though we didn't choose to sit in the garden. Only negative was that it was a little warm in the main dining room.
Always good always fresh
Excellent food and service!! Staff was very friendly
I always enjoy coming to Bottino. The staff is friendly and I have always enjoyed the food and sitting on the patio.
This was our first time dining at this restaurant at the recommendation of friends. We were entertaining guests from out of the country and needed a restaurant in the Chelsea/Hudson Yards area.
We were lucky to have been seated in the garden, which we requested. It was a lovely quiet dining area. The service was prompt and attentive without being pushy. The menu had just enough of everything to please everyone. The antipasti platter, mostly meats, was fabulous, as were the lamb chops. We enjoyed our dining experience and will return.
Had dinner for 7 on Saturday. Weather was lovely and we sat outside which was quite pleasant and quiet. I have been here a few times and the service has always been good and the food well prepared.
We dined in the garden where on delicious salmon, pastas and wine. The food was great and the cocktail —Viviani? Was delicious. Staff Teddy and Tony were extremely attentive and helpful. We highly recommend this place and will return.
It was a treat to be waited on by the owners sister, enjoy beautiful weather on the outdoor patio and to talk with the owner at the end of the night.
Consistently great food!
Requested to sit in the garden and was accommodated. The garden is lovely. Would recommend sitting inside if a quiet ambiance is more your speed, though we didn’t mind the noise at all.
Delicious appetizer and dessert choices. Get the cacio pepe pasta!
Only complaint is that our server was quite slow and we had to wait long intervals to order drinks, food, dessert, and the bill. Those around us had different servers and their meals seemed to move quicker than our table.
The staff was wonderful
Bottino is on the very short list of solid, delicious, perfectly run NY restaurants that manage to keep on going. The room has recently been updated and it's wonderful looking. The menu has changed slightly and it's all for the good. Nothing wrong with what was but the new dishes are terrific. And the place is one of the most gorgeous interiors in New York. I never get tired of going here.
We had a beautiful spot in the garden and it was the best bowl of pasta I’d ever had.
Bottino is very good. The food and service were just fine and some dishes distinguished. We came at 6 and sat inside, which became very loud as the place filled up. The lovely garden would be easier on the ears.
Fantastic neighborhood spot in Chelsea with outdoor space. Classic Italian menu, nice wine list.
