They closed the whyte ave location and didn’t check if there were future reservations through open table. We showed up and the place was closed. The website still has the close location on it too. When we contacted the jasper ave location, they said they canceled their open table account for the whyte ave location 3 weeks ago. We booked our anniversary dinner 2.5 months ago. Based on the poor customer service we will not go to the other location downtown ever.
Last day of university exams.
Food was good and came out in a timely manner.
Waitress seemed uninterested in being at work and therefore showed in how she served us. Overall okay experience.
I found the cost for the quality not good. The ambiance was nice but the server was rushing us and the food was just ok. Shrimp way too salty, appetizers ok.
The good and service was very good and the noise level was low. We could hear each other talk!
All was good until we asked for a decaf latte. Sorry folks but we don’t have decaf! We were amazed that you didn’t so we all went to Starbucks down the block and your restaurant lost the $20 that we (4) would have spent at your restaurant.
We had been to the downtown Bottega and with tickets to the Opera, we felt this would be a good place for a early meal. This is of course the old Packrat Louies and the floor plan is similar. I actually prefer the ambience to the downtown location. Food was excellent.
Consistent in every great way.
One of our go-to’s several times a month whether it’s as a couple or with our 2 sons.
I love the Margarita pizza with arugula
Food was incredibly disappointing. Our entire party felt their food was of very low quality and taste (especially the botega pizza -- absolutely flavorless.). Much better options around for the same price or less. Definitely wouldn't recommend or return.
Service was unfortunately terrible and the food was even worse.
Drinks were great though!
- food took a long time to be served; manager acknowledged And remedied the situation.
- severs in restaurants: would be nice to see them in more suitable attire (not bar outfits) for an Italian restaurant
The service was terrible, the menu is overpriced and boring and the room was so cold that patrons were eating with their coats on inside when it was plus 5 degrees outside. So very disappointed.
Fantastic restaurant, great service and amazing food! Would highly recommend their spaghetti carbonara, absolutely delicious.
This place is nice, with good selection of food and drinks. The service is good. On the day of our visit it was cold, so we did not stay as long as we wanted. We think that on a cold day, the heating should be turned up.
The pizza didn’t have any sauce on it and I wish it would have been explained to us. Also the mussels were too salty and I wish there were more than 2 pieces of bruschetta served. Other than that the server was really sweet, the restaurant was beautiful and warm but too noisy.
Ordered goat cheese on my steak for $8. It was literally 3 sprinkles and was blue cheese. I asked for goat cheese and they brought more blue cheese. The food itself was really good and our waiter was really nice but...
We ordered and the waiter did not seem clear on what was on the menu. Once food arrived .. meatballs were barely warm not hot. Steak was cooked wrong. Asked for side of short noodle pasta and he brought linguine??
Disappointing when the bill was over 150.00 for two ppl.
Great atmosphere between the nice food and the great service that they provide to the customers!
We'll be back 100%!
We came here for Valentine's Day to experience the Valentine's menu. The server was fantastic and charming. Food was also great and I would for sure return again. Thank you!
We celebrated an early Valentine’s Day and had a good time. The food was great but the service was better! Thanks.
My first time at Bottega off Whyte and I was very pleased with the restaurant overall. The food was very good. We did find it very chilly sitting by the window on a -25 evening though. I would definitely go there again because I loved the food , the service was very good as well.
Overall positive experience. The cocktails and food were amazing and the portions were quite large, justifying the cost. We ordered three plates to share to two people and barely ate half the food. Service was generally good, though it felt like there were a lot of staff on the floor and our poor waitress was working more than half the restaurant. We had tickets to a show nearby and we're almost late because we couldn't flag her down for our bill.
The ambiance was interesting. The decor speaks to a higher end experience, but the music choice and TV in the corner playing sports recaps pulled me out of the experience. I'm interested in checking out their lounge next time I'm in the neighbourhood.
Do check this place out! The food was great (try the pizza!) and you can't beat the location. (Also, they've got a great $7 cocktail hour between 2-5pm everyday that sounds unbeatable!)
Enjoyed a great night out with my family, had a great board, it was yummy, great portions, pasta was great, service was awesome, would definitely recommended and go back!!!
Amazing food! Appetizers, dinner and dessert! Definitely recommend.
Will not be back.
Too much money for food I could have gotten out of a can
Yummy food! It was cold outside but so warm & cozy inside Bottega. Our servers were so attentive & efficient
Had high expectations as I had heard great things about Bottega. The service was okay - we were seated at the back at an awkwardly placed table despite the restaurant being relatively empty. Sat for about 15 minutes before anyone took my drink order (I arrived before my other quests and would have enjoyed being able to order a drink while I waited). For a Friday night, the restaurant seemed understaffed - our waitress was nice but forgot our drinks a few times and we saw them sitting at the bar; I think she had too many tables and was doing the best she could.
Food was okay we had the pear pizza and I found it lacked flavor and was underwhelming.
We were celebrating with close friends and ended up being very disappointed. Firstly my friend ordered the 18 ounce RibEye steak medium rare, and it came well done. The manager came over and apologized, and did offer to cook another steak, but by then we all had our meals. So, he chose to eat it and was not charged for it. We ordered a gluten free pizza and the crust was like cardboard, I would suggest not offering the GF option unless it is better. The Caesar salad was a FULL bowl of romaine lettuce and a bit of Parmesan cheese. Too much in fact, but nothing special. The other issue the restaurant has to address is the noise level, they either need baffles in the ceiling to cut down some noise or, some other stifling option. I do realize that it is a brick building, but it was very difficult to hear people across the table. Very disappointing, we will not be back.
Terrible service. No welcoming or "thanks for coming in" as we walked out passed the main host who was just standing at the door. Server was cold, did not feel lile answering questions.
This was a letdown. The server didn’t know the menu and couldn’t even name some of the desert items. The food was ok but overpriced for the quality. And it was quite chilly inside the restaurant.
Excellent service and excellent food - - thank you.
Great food and good value for lunch. The Specials menu is an excellent deal.
Had the Nicoise style salad- nicely presented but why not try baby Yukon gold potatoes instead of very bland white chunks. Try blending the anchovies into the dressing rather than just draping them on top. The lamb ragu needed a little light lift- a sprinkle of gremolata perhaps. Our servicer was great and have always loved the warm ambiance of the restaurant at night.
It was good. Not out of this world. Broccoli I was excellent. Salmon was a tad overdone. It’s a good ever day spot.
Was a bit disappointed in the food. The menu would say one thing and that is not what I got. The lobster linguini does not say it is mostly shrimp and if it had shrimp shown on the menu I wouldn’t have ordered that dish. Also the lobster is in chunks still in the shell making it difficult to get out with out getting peices of shell. The chocolate tart said it came with pistachio gelato and came with chocolate- still good just don’t know why that would be the case when the other deserts had the pistachio so I know they weren’t out.
Nice meal...mussels (red sauce), carbonara, and lobster linguine.
The “signature” chicken was very dry and the meals were really slow to come out (over an hour). Probably wouldn’t go here for dinner again.
Overpriced! Lacked the value for the price, gaps in knowledge of staff, rushed concept no refinements of a high priced dining establishment. web link doesn't work limited information about food allergy concerns and drinks other than wine.
Food was nothing spectacular. Didn't have several items of the menu that we ordered. Pizza tasted like propane, as it's not a real wood burning fire. Were out of pistachio icecream and substituted with vanilla without saying anything and didn't apologize when we asked about it. Didn't have the wine we ordered, so 15-20mins later came it with a random bottle and said it was near the same price so we could have that instead and asked if we wanted to pay the same price (and save $3) or pay the full price which was strange. Food and service not great. Would not recommend to friends and will likely not return.
the downtown location food is much better. Our pizza was undercooked. I wanted to complain but my friend didn't. Wine was good!
Btoth appetizers and main courses were excellent I loved the carbonara it will be my new favourite.
Service was great.
