Step into Bottarga—an intimate restaurant in Brighton where fine dining unfolds in the heart of the kitchen. With every seat facing our fully open kitchen, guests are immersed in the artistry and rhythm of the culinary process.

Our menu is a refined fusion of contemporary Italian cuisine, subtly layered with Asian influences and crafted using the finest global ingredients. Choose between our 2- or 3-course à la carte options, or indulge in our 13-course tasting experience ($160 per person) for a truly unforgettable journey.

                We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Bottarga, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The service was attentive, friendly, and dedicated to making our table feel important. The food was delicious, crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients and presented beautifully. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and it was clear that a lot of thought and passion went into every meal. Overall, Bottarga offers an enjoyable dining experience, and I will definitely return.

                The food and service were both amazing. The atmosphere was a little off as the entrance to the restaurant was via an apartment building intercom system. There was no signage for the restaurant on the intercom and so we waited outside for a while trying to work out what to do. Once we got inside, the restaurant is very small with an open plan kitchen. Ordinarily this would be fine, however the kitchen exhaust wasn’t that good and I went home stinking of oil and cooking. Everything including my jacket. Again food and service exceptional, just let down by the atmosphere. Probably wouldn’t return because of this.

Over time, we’ve done our best to work within its limitations and shape it into the intimate dining experience we offer today. It’s not for everyone, and we don’t expect guests to know our full story — but your feedback reminds us how far we’ve come and how much further we hope to go. We’re so grateful for your compliments on the food and service, which are always our top priorities. And yes — one day, when the time (and savings!) are right, we hope to move into a space that allows every guest to enjoy the same level of comfort alongside the experience.                 Bottarga is a gem.Serious food from the kitchen which has always been fabulous.This is our go-to for special occasions.Wine selection is broad and if you want to splurge you can.....We have now been to Bottarga 6 to 7 times and cannot fault.

                Bottarga provides a superb culinary experience that is the equal of two hat restaurants regularly listed in in the Age Good Food Guide.. A wonderful range of ingredients , superbly presented. Our waiter effortlessly took us through each of the dishes in the Degustation Menu s they were served. Small, intimate and caring

                A wonderful dining experience. We have been here before and they never fail to remember you, make you feel special. The food is amazing the service is great and they are lovely hosts.
