At Botellón we take learned techniques from around the world, and apply them to what is usually known as traditional Spanish food. With a focus on the styles of the Basque region, combined with a little world influence, we are very excited to bring something vibrant and unique to Denver!
Wonderful dinner and the service was great!
Only complaint is the restaurant was a little cold, would have preferred not to wear my coat while eating. We will definitely be going back!
Looking for a lively spot for a weekend night out. Service was amazing, food was good. Will definitely come back again. Great addition to the neighborhood. Glad we got reservations as it filled up fast.
Delicious food! Great atmosphere and customer service was awesome
Little too loud for the # of people in the restaurant but would still recommend!
Food was good, liked the ambiance but music was an interesting choice. Service from our server wasn’t the best but everyone else working was very nice and friendly.
Great food and cute little restaurant, but we expected Spanish style portions with the paella that what was served was not that. For the price of a shared paella for the table, I could have gotten all the ingredients myself to make Paella in an actual cast iron that made for 3 people, not the tiny personal one we received. Great food though, maybe we didn't read the menu to see how small the paella's were supposed to be, but if the size of the paella's were increased I would go back. Or I would go back and only get tapas, not the paella just because I was really disappointed by the size.
Wonderful, lively tapas bar. We’ve been wanting to try it & are glad we finally got the chance to dine out.
Delicious food with great service. We’ll be back to try the pulpo and the flan, which they were out of last night. Everything we had was flavourful and well-presented. The small wine list had some great offerings that paired well with the cuisine. Was happy to see the Izadi Tempranillo on the list and tried an excellent Rioja as well.
Both servers were friendly and extremely attentive without hovering; balanced and professional but relaxed and lighthearted. Vanessa went above and beyond.
We were made to feel comfortable and cared for. We’ll be back!
Support this lovely local spot!
We thought most of the food was great, but the signature dish, the paella, was good but certainly not great. The sangria and cocktail were very good. Very friendly service.
Tasty food, small portions and pricey . A little too loud
This is such an amazing neighborhood spot. The food was incredible and the staff are amazing. We are going to make this a regular hangout spot.
Salad was good. Wine selection good. Prawns undercooked and without flavor. Seafood paella - meh. Disappointed.
The food, service, and energy was great. The portions are small for the money you spend.
BOTELLÓN SPANISH TAPAS & WINE
We recently tried a newer tapas restaurant in uptown near the intersection of 17th and Franklin.
Go for the paella! We tried the non-seafood andouille sausage version, and it was amazing! They market the three choices of paella as entrees for two. It is quite large, but if you didn't have very many appetizers it could definitely be one person's main course. Taking up to 30 minutes to prepare, order that first and then think about cocktails and small plates.
Definitely say yes to the complimentary grilled bread, served with olive oil and large chunks of sea salt!
For the more traditional small plates, we tried the pollo con chorizo, and the pulpo (octopus). The chicken was good. The octopus was a very generous serving, and cooked to perfection! It had the best texture I have ever eaten! I hope that they expand their menu and offer the octopus with other flavors, as I don't think the chorizo helped, and almost hindered the dish.
We each tried a glass of sangria, red and white, and were not overly excited about either. Next time I will imbibe from their fun selection of Spanish wines.
The service was very good, and the atmosphere was very laid-back, rustic Coloradan.
This will be a great hangout place in the warmer months. I also hope they add a happy hour menu!
Had a reservation that was confirmed a day before. When we arrived, they had a private party taking over the entire restaurant. The staff said there was nothing they could do. Left us in an awkward spot as we had just flown in to visit and didn’t know the town. I was embarrassed in front of my date as I had said that I had the weekend planned for us.
Amazing wine and people! Coming back for more!
Beer is priced great a $5/glass. Mussels were tasty and enjoyed the broth - could be a slightly larger portion. Veggie Paella was on spot for a vegan option - just requested some hot peppers to add a little spice. Qty was great for the money. I think it's a nice neighborhood spot and will be back
We’ve been here twice now because it just opened. The service was great and the food was SO good! We’ve tried five dishes and all were so tasty. Well done Botellón!
Great tapas...paella amazing....wonderful wait staff. Dont miss this!
I went here with a GF. Neither of us had been here and we're always down for tapas!
No one was there for a while, which was nice for us, maybe not so much for the business.
The staff was super friendly.
We started with shishitos, cauliflower, and octopus. I got all the octopus to myself since my friend doesn't eat it *cue maniacal laughter*
The shishitos were delic, as was the cauliflower. I love when veggies can really shine. The octopus though. I LOVED that it was a thicker portion and cooked perfectly.
We then got the seafood paella. Yes the seafood was good, but the rice. That socarrat situation was awesome.
I told the staff it was my friend's bday and they brought us their almond cake. I was a perfectly, not too sweet ending to a delicious meal.
Also, the wine was delicious!
Going back with my hubs tomorrow!
Awesome!! Best meal in ages.
Tapas were excellent! The cauliflower and hangar steak were the favorites of the the table. Plenty of vegan/vegetarian options to please any pallets. Service was excellent, Carlos wowed us. Will return
Food was average. It was delicious but was missing a kick of some sort. Wine was great. My husband's cocktail was "just ok", so he says. Great service and clean room. Nice night out with my husband. Not sure if we'll go back.
Food was amazing, service was outstanding, and the drinks were perfect. Will definitely be going back!
The food was very underwhelming and overpriced. We ordered the seafood paella and had basically a small plate of rice with a 3 shrimp, two scallops and a few other shell fish. The main piece of fish tasted fishy. The plate was very over priced for the quality. Overall we were disappointed with the meal.
This is my favorite place! Food is incredible and the ambiance is so fun. Definitely would highly recommend!!
Buena comida española y excelentes recomendaciones por parte del staff
The charcuterie board and paella was excellent, we’ll definitely be back!
great food and a lively vibe. The hanger steak was so good, we could have ordered, three.
Charming little restaurant tucked away in Denver. I recommend!
This was a great find, and a great new addition to the Denver food scene. It is a great American-Spanish "fusion" of the Tapas experience, and would recommend to all. Will certainly going back in the near future!
The service was impeccable. The wine recommended was outstanding and paired well with the paella.
I enjoyed the limited menu; each item we ordered was delicious!
Love the food, went twice this week. Highly recommend the hamaci collar, paella and cauliflower.
Decor, service and food excellent. The music just didn’t fit and was a bit loud but that can be fixed easily.
Great service and charcuterie was perfect! I need an adult cocktail was delish!
