This place was amazing. I highly recommend making a reservation and sitting where you can get a view of the kitchen so you want watch plating and sneak a peek at everything that comes out of the kitchen.
Yet another outstanding visit at Botanist. Did the tasting menu which is always my go to. Great variety of flavours and beautiful presentation. Service was fantastic. Highly recommend you treat yourself if you have not been here yet!
One of the most amazing restaurants in Vancouver. Stunning decor, interesting and tasty food and drinks. Expect to pay a lot but get a world class dining experience. Well worth it.
Kitchen was very slow. The server didn’t make any conversation. I was expecting more for the a restaurant located in the Fairmount
Food quality and presentation was excellent
And the staff serving appear more stettled and seemingly comfortable
Sommelier advice was spot on but would really like to see more of the top BC wines on the list
On other visits the live music can be too over bearing and should be more in the background
Overall a major dining star in Vancouver
Amazing food, service, ambiance. The sommelier was exceptional.
Everything is amazing here. Try the Deep Cove cocktail at the bar, seriously game changing cocktail. Service is spot on for fine dining and you will feel like the only table in the restaurant.
Enjoyed a very nice meal at Botanist for an early Valentine's Day. Fresh local ingredients used, and beautiful presentations, without being in your face about how local they are. They just let you enjoy the beautiful presentations. Quantities are adequate to good, and didn't leave hungry. Good attentive service. Would have liked more chocolate options on the dessert menu (Chocolate comes from a plant, right?) Would come back again for a special dinner
It was an amazing experience! The staff were so attentive to every detail!
The overall experience was amazing. Great night with my friends paired with great service and an exquisite decor for the eyes. Will definitely be back.
Great food. Went early with two young children (2 and 4 years old). Staff were friendly and accommodating. Smaller sized entrees but very delicious. The cocktail was amazing!
Always a good time
Very disappointed , poor quality food, small portions and overpriced . I would never recommend this restaurant.
Best Arctic char ever
Expensive for brunch but, good. Service is great, tasteful and unobtrusive. Great wine list.
Loved the design and the attention to detail. Menu options were great, really enjoyed the two eggs Benedict I chose. The avocado crab and the pork belly were divine. Really great service!!
Louder and a more casual feel than I expected, but overall an enjoyable experience
I went to Botanist yesterday for dinner and had an incredible experience. The restaurant is beautiful, the service is top notch, and the food delicious. They even gave me a birthday card signed by the staff. My husband said his lamb entree was the best lamb he’s ever had and my sablefish was perfect.
Thank you for an amazing night!
Our table was in a lovely room. However, the piano music was extremely loud. We had difficulty having conversations with our party of 6.
Everything about this dining experience was fantastic. Food and service were amazing.
The food and the plate is just like a piece of art. The food taste just Ok. The restaurant surroundings and atmosphere are really good.
Extremely impressed with the high level of professionalism and service both before and during our meal. I'm on a 30-day diet so I contacted the restaurant ahead of time to see if they could accommodate. They were friendly and helpful with their menu item suggestions. Our hostess and server were both friendly and very informative. Only downside is that they charge hotel prices for things like pop/soda water ($5) /tea/coffee ($6). Something to keep in mind if you're the DD, pregnant or not wanting to try one of their fantastic wines/cocktails. Definitely a must try!
Came in at 1:30pm, we’re given the breakfast menu for some reason. Service was alright -wasn’t warm, maybe our waitress wasn’t feeling well.
Scent of the hotel messed up with the nature of the restaurant - or if you like to eat oak and flowers in your food, might be for you. didnt get that west coast inspiration from the ambiance’s but definitely in the food. Maybe talk about fairmont about this.
Overall maybe just not suited for us or got that “home away from home” vibe.
I absolutely loved this place. The décor was beautiful, the service excellent but personable and warm so not stuffy like in typical high end restaurants. The food was exquisite and every bite was a party in my mouth. I had the octopus chorizo starter, rib eye and gnocchi main and shared the croissant dessert and the banana mousse dessert. Everything was presented like a work of art. It is of course expensive but worth it for a special occasion or if you want to treat yourself on a date night.
It was a nice area that my friend and I enjoyed our breakfast there. Will definitely go to Botanist again to try other beautiful and delicious food.
Ambiance was solid 10/10. Would definitely go again.
Food was great but others were not enough. Tables and dishes and interiors were not matched together. I felt like I was in a restaurant in a busy Chinese city. Especially big round tables were very strange look for me. Looked like a very cheap restaurant.
The portion is relatively small compared to other populist brunch places in downtown or Yale town but the taste was really good.
Beautiful space, impeccable service, and even a birthday card from the staff. They made a special occasion even more special. Would easily recommend again and again.
