Really nice spot.
Octopus was fantastic
Server was very kind and made us feel special.
Cocktails were really good
Ate at a few top spots in Vancouver and botanist was the best.
The Botanist was fantastic! A very enjoyable culinary experience
We were pleasantly surprised and intrigued with the use of foraged components of each dish. They complimented the main ingredient well. Larry, our server was attentive and we really appreciated the privacy provided with the table spacing; you did not feel the presence of people sitting beside you.
Staff were very professional, ambience was perfect, and the food was delicious. Two people within our party had different food allergies (lactose and fish) and the chef went above and beyond to accommodate.
Excellent restaurant. One of the best in Vancouver. You will pay for it though.
Disappointed because when we got there we were told that the tasting menu was not available that night because they were out of it?! It was the reason we reserved there in the first place. The rest was ok.
As great as expected for this level of restaurant.
We had amazing service and the food was excellent. Great cocktails and knowledgeable staff.
The duck and sea bass were winners. Loved the charred octopus and the hamachi crudo appetizers.
Everything was excellent! I’d visit again.
Absolutely phenomenonal for the price!
Loved the place and the cocktails! We had only appetizers but really enjoyed the food. Would definitely recommend it to my friends.
My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and this was a great way to do it. Great service (our waitress and semolaar were fantastic), great food and wine and fun vibe. We will definitely go here again when we visit Vancouver again. Thanks for the great night!
Thoroughly blown away on the food. Every course was perfectly seasoned and very tasty. Wine list list had some very nice selections with a little bit of age on the wines which I I have not seen him much around here. sommelier was great. Loved it❤️
The duck was insane
Incredible dining experience at Botanist. Felt very welcomed and taken care of. The food was better than we imagined, and the only thing better than the food was our knowledgeable and attentive server, Brighton! Not a thing missed. Will definitely be going back.
The food was superb, and the staffs were very professional. I did notice the fabrics on the chairs are quite smudged, not clean enough, so cleaning them would elevate the experience there.
Went here for the first night of our honeymoon. It did not disappoint! It was fabulous!
Fantastic cocktails, impeccable service, delicious food, lovely ambience! Larry took great care of us , will be back for sure !!
I took my husband there to celebrate his birthday and we took the 5 dishes tasting menu. I'm vegan and he has some food restrictions. The food was delicious!!! We both enjoyed it very very much! They had some amazing vegan dishes for me. The only thing we didn't like very much was the dessert, which was ok but not something I would order again.
We will definitely come back to eat there again.
The service was excellent, the food was excellent and the overall experience was excellent!
it was great!
Nice atmosphere. Limited menu if you can’t eat seafood. The ribeye was excellent. Portions were small but delicious
2 birthdays, came from US to celebrate here.
Best duck I have ever had! The mushroom tagliatelle were also delicious.
Service and food was excellent. Ambiance was amazing.
Friendly and welcoming staff. Service is excellent. Food is delicious. Would have preferred a little more of an intimate style of ambiance.
The service was awesome! The food was amazing and a great deal. You get 2 drinks and an appetizer and main course for $63. Amazing
Birthday dinner with friends!
Probably one of the best restaurant we did in our life.
Amazing food and service!
Had the Halibut and it was delicious
We were seated at a very dimmed area of the restaurant tucked in a corner that wasn't very appealing to the dining experience. The food was just alright but did not exceed our expectations in terms of flavours and textures of the dishes. Our waiter, Larry was GREAT and very accommodating to our table with frequent stops to ensure our dining experience was valued. Overall, it was a nice experience at the Botanist but it would be a rare occasion would I return.
Good entrées (scallops and kampachi fish but very deceiving main (sable fish) which was very salty.
Great service (very prompt), noisy however.
Overpriced and overhyped in my opinion
Food was very unique and delicious. We had beef and sablefish. My son said the pasta was the best he's ever had. The TREEBEARD cocktail was so good.
The server could have checked on us more frequently to ask if we wanted more drinks.
Lovely restaurant decor.
Pleased with meal.
Overall outstanding experience!
Amazing experience! Must go in Vancouver for a gourmet experience.
Amazing! Outstanding food and incredible service
Reserved a table last minute but was still given excellent seats right by the window with plants all around us.
Went for brunch with friends and I had avocado toast and chia seed pudding. My friends had the brioche French toast and wanted to order the bruschetta but there was none available unfortunately.
The chia seed pudding was okay but the avocado toast, French toast and the drinks were all amazing. Altogether everything was definitely expensive but we were all expecting that so it wasn't a big shock. A good tip for the avocado toast is to get eggs on the side as it comes just as is with no sides.
The waitresses and the bartender were all lovely and the service was fast. If you want to be fancy and have a fun meal with friends, I would recommend the Botanist!
Good value for the brunch menu with two drinks included!
Food was average. Boozy brunch was overpriced. Would not return. There are too many other amazing restaurants in Vancouver to explore.
To say the food is good is an insult. The food is absolutely divine.
I ordered the charred octopus to start. The contrast between the chewy octopus and soft, buttery gnocchi was so satisfying. The combination of the rich lobster jous and the slight fermentation of the little mushrooms was perfect.
Ordered the lamb as the main. Decadent. Delicious. So flavourful. Perfectly prepared.
Our server also brought us an extra dessert because she felt like we “needed” to try the strawberries and basil, and was she right. I can’t remember her name. Starts with an A, she had short hair. She was lovely. I work at a relais chateaux property and she’s by far the best server I’ve had in a long time.
Cant wait to come back!
Would highly recommend.. great service!
