Wonderful cocktails and fantastic food. Service was just right too. On the expensive side but not unreasonable, given the actual meal. Beautifully presented too. Enjoyed the experience overall.
Botanist was such a beautiful experience! My partner and I celebrated our anniversary at the restaurant and we were greeted with complimentary bubbly (so lovely!). The food was exciting and creative. Portions were delicious and satisfying. Our server Lindsay was so kind and helpful, providing us with top notch service.
It’s was my Birthday dinner and I’m so happy that I chose this place. Food was amazing, cocktails even better! The bill price was very good and not expensive considering quality of the drinks and food. Very much recommend this place!

As always with Fairmont expectations are high as are the standards. We are repeat customers and ALL members. Lacked a little in the wow factor. But pleasant nonetheless.

The food and drink were excellent but I feel that you should have an alternate price for people who are not drinking. Two of us enjoyed cocktails but the same price set menu for a 14 year old and a grandma is just too much.

Quickly becoming one of my favourite places for excellent food. Fantastic service, staff are always very polite and knowledgeable. Chef is able to make great accommodations on the fly (changing the tasting menu if you’ve had it before, meeting dietary restrictions, etc.) Even my least favourite dishes here would be one of my favourites anywhere else.

The food was incredible, the decor was beautiful, the service was not up-to-par today.
I've been to Botanist quite a few times on various occasions, usually, the service was impeccable. However, our server today came across as a bit rude and condescending, the table wasn't clean or wiped after our first course, which was kind of odd. She definitely did not try to make our experience any better and was providing less than satisfactory service. I felt like I went to a low-end diner. Maybe it was an off day for her, or maybe she just needed to get some professional service training.
Other than the not-so-great server, everything else was perfect.
Best restaurant in Vancouver, hands down. Amazing food, incredible cocktails, fantastic service. Can't recommend it enough.
We came for brunch to celebrate my birthday. The server took a very long time to greet the table(5 mins). She was pleasant and kind and apologized for making us wait. Once our last guest arrived, it again took the server awhile to get to our table for a drink order. Her knowledge of the drink menu was not high when it came to knowing key ingredients in the cocktails or another offering of champagne. At one point she said "just take a look at the menu, because i don't know what's in that"... this is when we were deciding on a cocktail.
When ordering brunch, I had to flag down another server to locate our server as she was not to be seen for another 5+ mins.
This type of service continued throughout our service. I was also was surprised to find the restaurant quieter than I expected but that could have been the time of day.
Unfortunately, there were many missed opportunities to provide excellent service.

It was our 4th time.
We went for my partner’s birthday - our third time at Botanist. We did brunch and I have to say this: what a great value for brunch service. $68 per person for three courses and it INCLUDES two cocktails.
The brunch menu had a lot to choose from which made it hard for us, but ultimately we were very happy campers with our selections.
Appies were the Chia Pudding which was light and very refreshing though not as sweet as we would have preferred. It still helped beat the heat here in the Vancouver summer. We also got the beef tartar which is a staple item for me personally at any given restaurant and Botanist did a great job with theirs. The parmesan foam was a perfectly savoury note to go along with the fresh beef and the texture on the meat was perfect.
Entrees were the veal ragu and the crab and avocado benny. As far as bennies go, this one tasted great, though I felt the crab was a little understated and wished I could taste it more along with the fatty avocado and hollandaise. We both LOVED the veal ragu and it’ll be hard not to get it again with subsequent visits. Pasta was cooked perfectly and had great texture and the ragu was hearty and not overly salty, but packed with flavour.
For dessert we opted out of the set menu items only because we asked if we could have the French toast (usually an entree item) instead. What’s brunch without some kind of waffle, pancake, or toast? It was the perfect choice and while it looked heavy with three thick slices and gooey dulce de leche it was actually surprisingly light and the dish went down FAST. Delicious, perfect sweetness (for two people with differing sweet tooths) and just fork tender bread that barely required chewing. Must have in my opinion!
Service, as always at Botanist was superb and very friendly. Over the course of the meal a few different people came to help us, deliver food/drinks, etc and each person was great - we didn’t mind the differing service at all!

We really enjoyed our evening at Botanist. Very professional in every way. The food was innovative and delicious. Our waiter was fantastic as was the sommelier and food runners. Will be back very soon.

My favourite was the pasta and french toast. The pasta was a little too salty but overall me and my boyfriend really enjoyed the meal and will come again to try the dinner menu next time!
Amazing brunch place. It's a good deal considering you get 2 beverages as part of your two or three course set meal. Food was top notch.
The dinner was perfect from start to finish. The cocktails, the appies, the wine and the mains, all of it was excellent.
Absolutely amazing. My boyfriend who was a chef for 15 years actually teared up over the duck breast because it was perfection!

My husband and I went for the brunch.. we picked two courses and some cocktails.. food was very tasty and perfect portions. We really enjoyed the ambience, the place is so pretty and our service was around all the time. We definitely recommend it!
