Botanical Garden Bar & Kitchen was created in 2020 by multi-award-winning theatre company, curious directive.

Our outdoor garden sits beside our creative home; a green oasis in the heart of NR3.

For the winter months and rainy days we have a cosy indoor dining area (The Potting Shed), which is steeped in medieval history, monuments and over 100 plants.

With 13 tables in a 300m2 garden and 9 tables indoors, customers can enjoy a quiet drink outside or dine at tables - anything is possible.

Our menu is simple - wood-fired Pizzas with local ingredients, afternoon teas and a local story. For Summer 2024 we have a Residency of Contemporary British food from Chef Meg Greenacre.

Gins are infused on-site, and their beehives produce delicious honey.

The perfect evening, Botanical Garden Bar & Potting Shed is a magical place to while away the time.

Beautifully presented, delicious food in amazing surroundings. The food is unique in its taste and presentation. Nice to have the option to eat inside or out in the lovely gardens, although a shame the English weather spoilt the outside option! Well done Meg, another triumph!

Very interesting venue for lunch, but rather chilly. Need to wear warm clothes. Enjoyed the Scandinavian food.

Excellent food. We came having attended “Gastronomic “ last year. We had high expectations and weren’t disappointed. We actually had a hard time choosing from the menu and ended up sharing a third main course so as to sample as much as possible. ( We did forgo dessert)
