Lovely dishes and service
Slow uninformative service staff.
Food doesn’t come out in order.
With 6 tables they appeared to be overwhelmed.
Cold cuts come out after hot plates.
Way way too overpriced for the quality and portions.
Amazing tapas in a lovely atmosphere! The drinks were also on point and the service was professional and flawless.
Food was good, but sangria was aged sour. Major credit to the chef, server, host, busser, and bartender... he took care of everything for the restaurant during lunch. Ideally, there would be someone in front of house vs back of house for lunch, but really appreciated his professionalism and positive attitude.
The would not let me in because of the pants I was wearing. I completely understand that, but then they let the next person in right after me and he was wearing the same type of pants.
The lady and the man who came out were uptight and the restaurant seemed to be the same.
We were looking for a tapas option on the way to Mendocino and this was the only place available on a Sunday afternoon. The reason it was available was that the food is really, really bad. The entire restaurant was being operated by one person who was doing the cooking and the serving and neither were up to the mark. The prawns were barely cooked and tasteless and the steamed mussels tasted of nothing. I'd strongly recommend not visiting this restaurant if you care about good food.
the service and food was outstanding!!
It was safe and clean, the food was delicious and the waitstaff were very kind and attentive!
Tapas and Paella were delicious, but Sangria could be better.
I’ve had paella in many states and counties and this was the worst I’ve ever had. It was awful. And the paella was $40! Very disappointed. Also have to eat on the street due to COVID and constantly had people walking by, some of whom were disruptive. Would not recommend.
Great food. Good service. Good covid-19 measures
great place - had the sangria and seafood paella..
Nice place to enjoy Tapas and Wine! Most likely will return and recommend.
The lunch was disappointing because they had a very limited menu and would not go to the trouble of providing things we asked for. Staff was also pretty disinterested, so the overall experience was not very good. Maybe it was the coronavirus fears but the place was virtually empty which suggests they could have gone to greater lengths to please their customers.
Great paella choices, lots of wonderful tapas, and the dessert menu was very enticing. Best of all, if you're doing a big birthday thing for someone, the servers are happy huddle with you and plot which dessert will have the most impact!
Great place, I will return to it.
We went there for lunch on Sunday. First off, the waiter looked like he had just rolled out of bed and seemed more asleep than awake and as if he skipped the shower. We wanted to order a bottle of wine but he did not have the key to open the wine cabinet. So we asked for some 805 beer. He left and came back to say they were out of it but he did not bring back the menu so we could pick something else. One of us had mussels and enjoyed it. The others had paella. The portion was right for lunch, meaning not too large nor too small. But, it did not have much flavor and was very wet and the rice was over cooked. The waiter brought the check without asking us if we wanted any dessert or coffee. as we had room for dessert we went some place else. The restaurant was also quite cold. It was almost empty, which was fine with us as we wanted to chart. Overall not impressed but I have had worse, so I did not give it the lowest rating, but I won't go back
Food was pretty tasteless.
There was a meat, seafood or vegetarian paella for one offered for lunch and that was nice - but that's where the "nice" ended because the paella looked good but over-salted. I ordered an iced tea but it was so bad I had to send it back - it didn't even taste like iced tea and it was very opaque (as if it had milk in it - but it didn't have milk in it!) There were no other patrons in the place but the waiter rarely came to our table to see how we were doing, didn't offer a dessert menu (we never found out if there were desserts) and didn't offer to give us our bill even though our meal had been finished for quite a while. this place needs a lot of work!
Wow is there a deal for you. A Tapas appetizer, a single paella and a glass of wine for $30. Wife & I visited we had the place all to our selves for a 1:45pm reservations and I will say I was a little worried. However we had the potatoes brava & the mussels for our tapas, the potatoes were hot and tasty and the mussels did not miss. Wife had the seafood Paella which looked as good as it tasted, I had the meat Paella very tasty however not as good looking as the seafood dish, next time seafood for me. The wines were not the "house wines" while we did not get to pick there was a white & red options that were off the wine list. I would guess this place is busier for pre-theater dinners
Not busy at all. Got food very quick and it was delicious!
Paella portion (lunch) was very small and had hardly any veggies.
We (4) went here for brunch and we were all excited to have the avocado toast (being in the land of avocados) but the toast was actually two very small slices of a baguette with a very textureless (Costco?) ‘avocado spread’ on it. So at the very least don’t go for brunch and definitely don’t order the avocado toast!
Pretty good food, really kind service
Ordered GF items and orders came out with gluten. Unacceptable mistake when you specify that a person has Celiac disease. Ordered two things and never received. Very disappointed!
Nice food, especially paella is amazing. Friendly waiter, nice atmosphere, I like this restaurant. But the order of corse menu was wrong.. It’s disappointing.
We love the paella and sea bass the restaurant is small and noisy but food is excellent lil bet pricey too.
Good food great service and the the squid ink paella was excellent other dishes were good but not outstanding.
Food and service were great. It's one of the few restaurants in SF we've been to where we can actually hear each other talking without screaming.
Romantic and Cozy
Great service and quality paella. Don't pass up the patatas bravas or sleep on the bacon wrapped dates.
Paella was just not good. And other dishes were bland.
The decor and vibe were nice. We went there for a pre-theatre meal. The food was not up to the standard we expected or that the prices justified. The paella was pretty bland. We had to ask for salt, pepper and hot sauce to make it decent. The shishito peppers were okay but needed a dipping sauce or something with them. Disappointing - I would not go back again.
The food was outstanding and the sever was on point with the pairing of the wine and food after he heard what style we were looking to drink
Great place! Try the paella!
Nice and chill place. The tapas were ok, but compared to real Spanish tapas, still far from similar, in quality. We didn't had the specialty of the house (paellas), but had a ”tabla” of iberic ham (which was nothing compared to an actual pata Negra ballota ).
Overall, I was happy with the food and the vibe. We went on a Sunday at 4 pm. The service was OK. Did not get a warm greeting and server did not seem to know the bar menu. We also had food arriving, but no plates to share. That took time and the food was cooling. The wait staff was also not very attentive to the table and there were periods when we had to wait for service, water refills and the bill. The restaurant was not crowded and it seemed to close early on Sundays. Not sure if that had anything to do with it.
The food was great. We ordered the peppers, the tomato salad, potato bravas, meatball sandwich, veggie paella and meat paella.
Nice space with a good wine selection. The meats and cheeses were great, the paella was underwhelming, lacking in flavor, and overpriced for a dish that just wasn’t on point in any way. Service was meh. Overall the value didn’t even come close to the cost. The included 20+% gratuity for a party of 5 on top of it all just added to the disappointment.
Food was absolutely delicious!
The food was ok but not exceptional. The veggie paella was bland, the gazpacho was too garlicky. I was expecting it to be better given the reviews.
Food was quite bland and lacked the flavor one expects from a Spanish restaurant. The Poached Pear salad was forgettable and the seafood paella had burnt bits on the bottom that mixed unpleasantly. The wait staff was not particularly friendly or outgoing or accommodating (we asked if possible to replace mussels with something else and were told it would simply be left off). At $50/head not including drinks, you can find more memorable places.
