I had lunch with my friends. We all ordered the prix fixe lunch that started with the chowder. My chowder was noticeably smaller in quantity. Also in my cup was a half of a red potato. So as a result I has a few spoonfuls. I told the server this when she asked how the chowder was.
She said she would inform the kitchen and asked if I would like more chowder. I responded that I did and truly appreciated her offer.
Our bill included the three prix fixe charges and a $$6.00 charge for the additional chowder.
This is so inappropriate. If she informed us of the choice for an additional charge I would have declined.
I do not feel I could return to a place that does this

We ate here before a Celtics game. The food was excellent. Just creative enough to be fun without being pretentious. Live music was nice.

Very busy night, live band was good but waiter was very pushy and would hardly give us enough time to look at menus, kept coming back a minute later and we had to continually say we hadn’t decided yet. Asked for burger medium and the thing came out like a hockey puck. Definitely food was not worth what it cost. Probably wouldn’t go out of my way to go back.

Loved this place. Was just visiting Boston for a long weekend and stumbled upon it by accident- and needing shelter on a sunny 26 degree day!
Had the clam chowder and burger. Great combination. Good beer selection too.
You can’t go wrong here.
Would definitely go back!

Bostonia was recommended to us and we were excited to try it. The food was decent, not the best but definitely not the worst. We did enjoy that there was a live band and pretty awesome bloody mary bar.

Had a great time for brunch with a bachelorette party. They have an amazing bloody mary bar where you can craft your own - I've never seen anything like it! The ambiance was great, there was a live musician who blended nicely (not too overbearing) and the food was absolutely delicious. Definitely good for a special occasion, but would go back any day really. Not from the area but I wish I was!

We have walked by the restaurant but this was our first visit. It was a bit noisy when we arrived on a Monday night, but calmed down after the "after work" crowd left the bar. The food and service were terrific, especially the beet salad.

My girlfriend and I were visiting from Baltimore and went to Bostonia for Sunday brunch since we saw on Yelp that it was rated pretty well and was only a few blocks from our hotel. We were not disappointed! The food was incredible and the live entertainment was on point.

Even though it doesn't seem like a sexy option, the yogurt parfait was out-of-this-world delicious, and is a must-order! The poutine tots were a perfect second appetizer to balance out the sweetness of the parfait. We also got the short rib entree to share, which was fantastic. If we weren't hung over, we would likely have indulged in the bloody mary bar as well.

We stopped in for a quick dinner on a Thursday night. The main level of the restaurant was very noisy, which was to be expected on a Thursday night. The upper level dining area where we sat was quieter but still not exactly quiet. We shared the polenta fries as an appetizer and they were very good. I had the ribs and sauté spinach as my dinner. The spinach was good but the ribs were oddly spiced and there was no sauce. They were not good enough to finish. The other dinner choices were the scallops and a dinner salad, which were both good.

Good food. Service was a little slow and the food was a bit overpriced in my opinion. I ordered the mussels and tator tots. Mussels were good, but would not order the tator tots again. Overall a decent place to eat in Boston.

First time at this establishment as I was visiting my son who's a freshman at Berklee School of Music. My only complaint is that once I was ready to place my order the waitress remembered that she forgot to inform our table that they were out of French Toast and so this was a bit disappointing as waffles were not an option and I'm actually a vegetarian so most of the other things on the menu did not appeal to me. I had to settle for pancakes which I really did not want to order.

The service is excellent but the food is the gem. Been there three times and each meal was terrific. It gets crowded with the after work crowd and then it's quite noisy, but after that it gets better and more to my liking. Always look forward to a meal when in Boston.

This place was recommended by a friend and it was worth all the effort. The doughnuts are a must (we ordered it twice). The shrimp and grits were very flavorful. I would recommend this everyday and twice on Sunday.

15 minutes late to the reservation due to a work meeting and we lost our table. Had to be seated outside, which was bit chilly (fall is here!) and noisy due to State Street traffic. Not ideal for a client lunch so make sure to be on time.

Tasty food, clam chowder and cold lobster roll, but avocado was missing from the roll. Service quick and quiet. We went midafternoon. Expensive for what we got. Prices much higher than shown on open table. Lobster roll was 24 not the 19 shown on the luncheon menu.

The exceptionally convenient location made this perfect for lunch. Great, varied selection and the old world large windows and tall ceilings make the ambience quite comfortable. My friends chicken sandwich looked and tasted great. My chicken cobb salad was tasty except they forgot to add the chicken (which I wasn't charged for). No loss, as the salad was large and filling enough. I'll be back.

Had a wonderful dining experience at Bostonia celebrating my sister's birthday. We had originally made a reservation for 6 but due to last minute additions, we had to add 3 more guests. The friendly staff was more than happy to accommodate a party of 9 which is rare to find last minute. The menu was small but catered to a variety of different palates, and the food itself was very good. Bostonia also offers a variety of crafted cocktails and a hip, dimly-lit atmosphere, along with live music every weekend so it definitely works as a great happy hour spot as well. The restaurant is spacious with 2 floors so I can't imagine having to wait a long time for a seat. If you are looking for a lively scene, right in the heart of Boston's Faneuil Hall, that offers delicious food that any foodie would appreciate, check out Bostonia Public House for sure!
